Control of a thermal system
Svoboda, Martin ; Pohl, Lukáš (referee) ; Veselý, Libor (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the programming of the NUCLEO-F746ZG device in the Matlab Simulink environment for the control and identification of the thermal system. Part of the work is the design and revitalization of the circuit enabling the measurement of temperature and the active members of the thermal system for supplementing the device.
Formula student battery pack
Lysák, Jakub ; Václavek, Pavel (referee) ; Veselý, Libor (advisor)
The thesis deals with the selection of a suitable battery cell for the high-voltage battery of a Formula Student Electric racing car. Based on laboratory measurements, a mathematical model of the cell is identified. The model implemented on the battery management system is capable of estimating the state of charge under dynamically changing conditions during a race.
1DOF helicopter model
Dědič, Roman ; Veselý, Libor (referee) ; Pohl, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of a 1DOF helicopter fixture and its mathematical model. An important part of this thesis is the identification of the parameters of the physical system and subsequent verification by simulation. Another part is the implementation of the BLDC motor control that was used on the physical fixture. The last part of the thesis deals with the design of the pitch attitude control of the 1DOF helicopter arm. PID controllers and sliding mode control are used here. All control methods were simulated and then verified on the fixture. Hardware operation was performed using an STM microprocessor and Simulink software.
Evaluation of the Financial Situation of a Company and Proposals for its Improvement
Veselý, Lukáš ; Karas, Michal (referee) ; Žižlavský, Ondřej (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with rating of the financial situation of the company VÚB, a.s. in the years 2016-2020. The theoretical part presents and describes the objectives of the thesis and selected indicators of financial analysis. In the analytical part, the indicators are applied to the selected company and the results are evaluated. On this basis, the third part proposes solutions to improve the company's financial situation.
Modeling and control of rear driven axle for Formula Student
Kavec, Matúš ; Veselý, Libor (referee) ; Pohl, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis is focused on design of controll structure of Formula Student monopost. Part of the thesis is a design and subsequent debgging ofthe model so it has the best possible response compared to reality. A PID controller with two degrees of freedom was used to create the control structure. Created controll structure has the task of regulating the system to the required value. By reducing skid, which is often unwanted in race cars, we can achieve better response while accelerating.
Laboratory exercise for a control theory courses
Kozumplík, Miroslav ; Pohl, Lukáš (referee) ; Veselý, Libor (advisor)
This work deals with a design of laboratory tasks and laboratory hardware for laboratory control. Laboratory equipment contains heating element placed in a pipe. Temperature sensors measure the current air temperature in the pipe. The heating element with the temperature sensors are connected to the computer through the DAQ USB-6001. The signal is read by Simulink program that will be used to design controllers for this system.
The Analysis - Estimate of Non-batlle Civilian Deaths of Armed Conflicts in Sudan: a Darfur Case
Veselý, Lukáš ; Tomeš, Jiří (advisor) ; Kofroň, Jan (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the impact of military conflicts on the local population in the case of Darfur conflict. Mainly, it should focus on the number of casualties resulting from the military conflicts in terms of direct and indirect. The work will try to find the answer to two questions. Firstly, it should cover whether the number of indirect casualties resulting from worsening living conditions (such as displacement) dramatically exceeded the number of people died during fighting or one-side violence. And what is the significance of displacement in terms of the death rate. The thesis is divided into two main chapters. The first chapter concentrates on the discussion created by the contemporary literature in the topic of impacts of military conflicts on the affected population. Furthermore, the next part explores the origins and the development of the conflict. On the other hand, the second chapter analysis the actual impacts of the conflicts on the local population, and discusses the results. Key words Armed conflicts, non-battle deaths, refugee camps, Sudan, Darfur
Linear motor modeling and identification
Cimburek, Václav ; Veselý, Libor (referee) ; Václavek, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the creation of a model of a synchronous linear motor with permanent magnets, parameter identification and model visualization. The model includes variable inductances of d and q windings and variable motor force constant. A cascade control using P and PI controllers and dynamic decoupling is implemented to control the model. The whole system is simulated in the Simulink environment. In conclusion are evaluated the factors that may cause inaccuracies and improvements that could be done.
Comparison of PID controllers
Prosecký, Jan ; Veselý, Libor (referee) ; Dokoupil, Jakub (advisor)
The work deals with the issue of selecting a suitable discrete PSD controller. The basic types of continuous PID controllers and discrete PSD controllers are shown here. Next, the solution of system identification using Matlab/Ident is described. The tested PSD controllers were a position PSD controller, a PSD controller with differential component filtering and a Beta PSD controller, which was in the settings of the S-PD controller and the PS-D controller. The following methods were used to set the controllers: Ziegler-Nichols, Quadratic integral criterion, experimental settings using the distribution of poles and zeros in the Bode diagram through the Matlab program and the optimal modulus method. Individual controllers are compared by the Matlab/Simulink program in the Automation studio.
Sensorless control of AC motors on STM32 platform
Soviš, Jiří ; Veselý, Libor (referee) ; Pohl, Lukáš (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the issue of sensorless vector control of a synchronous motor with permanent magnets in the low-speed range. In the first part, there is a brief description of the synchronous motor and the necessary transformations for the application of vector control. This is followed by the overview of sensorless methods for position estimation by injecting a high-frequency harmonic signal. The practical part is devoted to the implementation of a control algorithm to develop kit STM32NUCLEO-L476RG, which is preceded by the identification of all engine parameters. As part of the implementation, a structure including current, speed and position control was designed. The functionality and robustness of the settings have been successfully tested due to the different inertia and load.
