Novotný, Petr ; Velenský, Michael (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
Title: Participation of the players on the team game performance in ZBL matches Objectives: My work deals with the proportion of female players on the team's performance in the game of basketball teams in the women's top basketball competition - ZBL. My main aim is to explore these trends from the season 1998/1999 to 2019/2020. The file of observed extraleague players was divided into three categories (Czech players under 20 years, foreigners, Czech players over 20 years). At the same time I determined the monitored characteristics (number of players, numbers of minutes played, numbers of points scored, coefficients of validity) that are significant for the research. The data from the Women's Basketball League can be found on the website of Czech Basketball Federation, where they are available. This work follows, updates and extends my Diploma thesis (2014). Methods: The study is based on the secondary analysis of statistical data of different teams that participated in the seasons from 1998/1999 to 2019/2020 in the Women's Basketball League (ZBL). The focused seasons are divided into several years cycles and for further processing I used basic statistical and comparative methods, to get information if there is existence of link among focused situation we used Chi- squared test independence in...

Title: Methodology of 3x3 basketball training for U15 category Objective: The bachelor's thesis deals with the methodology of 3x3 basketball training for the category of children under 15 years of age. The main goal of this work is to create a comprehensive methodological manual for 3x3 basketball coaches and physical education teachers, with a theoretical basis and a demonstration of the annual training cycle, including its subfolders and thus help all coaches and teachers to study in the theoretical field of 3x3 basketball. Tasks: 3x3 basketball as a relatively new, but very dynamically developing sport requires specific expertise from coaches if we want training to be effective. If a coach is to be successful, he must acquire a theoretical foundation on which to build. The theoretical part analyses the available information on 3x3 basketball as such and the specifics of its training in comparison with 5v5 basketball. Furthermore, the work focuses on the characteristics of the selected age group and their consideration in the methodology of sports training. The work contains an explanation of the structure of the annual training cycle and the 3x3 basketball season. In the practical part, based on the acquired theoretical knowledge, a sample of several specific training cycles and training units...

Title: Movement preparation about young basketball players Objectives: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to study the literature related to the issue of movement preparation of novice basketball players, then to find out the opinions of the respondents by means of an on-line questionnaire survey and to get a comprehensive view of this issue. Methods: The survey was done by means of an on-line questionnaire form via the Internet. Results: Through a questionnaire survey I found out the opinions of 47 Czech coaches of children and youth, which I compared with professional literature and came to the following results - the most suitable age for the beginning of basketball attendance is 8- 10 years old, the best way to achieve quality and long-lasting sports performance is to follow a developmentally appropriate training pathway with adherence to the principles of versatility and progressive loading; the main reasons for lessening participation rates in basketball at the ages between 10-15 appear to be interest in other hobbies; at the age of 15-20 years there is pressure to perform, other interests and health problems, which may be closely related to early specialization training. Keywords: basketball, movement preparation, youth, early specialization, training, questionnaire.

6 Abstract Title: An analysis of a basketball player's movement during the game Objectives: The aim of this work is to demonstrate that observation groups in the basketball game use a different number of movements and should therefore train separately. Methods: The basis of this empirical study is a quantitative research that uses the method of analysis and comparison. To obtain the data, I have analysed the most frequent movements carried out by players in the game. We have collected the number of movements per each second for each group. Observed group are: point guard, shooting guard and centers. Movements were described theoretically, biomechanically, technically, or by using rules. After that I have used the comparison to determine the differences, which were implemented into charts and qualified in detail. Results: A graphical representation of the number of movements confirmed the goal of our work. The biggest differences were found in specific movements, such as screens, acceleration, dribbling and crossover dribble. It turned out that the primary movements, such as standing or walking occupy over 50% of the match for each group. Neither group achieved the same result in any category. It is therefore necessary to take into account these facts and plan training preparation in order to reflects the...
