Ryšková, Anastázie ; Velímský, Tomáš (advisor) ; Podliska, Jaroslav (referee)
The aim of the master's thesis was the elaboration of the research of houses Nos. 45, 46 and 47, located in the historic area of the town of Most (in cooperation with Petra Kabeláčová). The preparation took place in two stages. In the first phase, primary data of the excavation in the 1970s had to be collected as a common basis for both works. The starting point was a comprehensive field documentation and inventory of artifacts, stored in the Oblastní muzeum a galerie v Mostě. The form of the inventory was gradually created during the inventory of material with a view to the time possibility of the assigned work. On this base, it was possible to determine the basic chronological sequence valid for research of houses Nos. 45, 46 and 47. The support was the chronological sequence created for the house No. 226. The second stage was individual. It focused on a selected thematic areas of Most archeology of the 13th to 16th centuries, on the culture of living and everyday life of the medieval city solved in connection with the research of houses Nos. 45-47. The second part of the work also showed other contextual levels, within the town of Most and the archeology of towns in the Czech lands and abroad. Keywords urban archaeology; medieval plots; housing; outbuildings; everyday life

Archaeology of the town of Most (Nos. 45-47). Selected chapters
Kabeláčová, Petra ; Velímský, Tomáš (advisor) ; Podliska, Jaroslav (referee)
The submitted master's thesis deals with the issue of urban archaeology, specifically on the example of Most plots No. 45-47. It is based on a summary of knowledge gained during rescue archaeological research, which took place between 1977 and 1978. An integral part is also the analysis and evaluation of material culture finds together with the ceramic inventory, which became the basis for the chronological sequence. The question of possible production activities that could be operated within the plots is further addressed based on the found artifacts. The final part thematically focuses on the progress and character of development in the plots in the 13th - 16th century, considering other contexts - within the city of Most, archaeology of cities in the Czech lands and archaeology of cities in Central Europe. Key words urban archaeology, medieval plots, housing, outbuildings, everyday life

The lords of the coat of arms of green rose on silver field. On the origin, genealogy, seals nad residences of the Lords of Krumlov
Gersdorfová, Zlata ; Pátková, Hana (advisor) ; Bláhová, Marie (referee) ; Velímský, Tomáš (referee)
The dissertation presented is an attempt at a complex processing of history of one of the family branches of the Vítkovci, Lords of Krumlov (ante 1213-1340). The introductory sections are devoted to a summary of existing literature and research, with an excursion into the legendistic tradition of the Vítkovci clan. This is followed by a third chapter dealing with the genealogy of the clan, which has been carried out with an emphasis on sources. Thus, the difference between preserved sources and historical constructs became evident (this difference was distinct primarily in the figure of Záviš of Falkenštejn). The genealogy of the clan was studied by Vítek of Prčice across the known and assumed members of the clan of all five generations up to the final male member Ješek, the son of Záviš of Falkenštejn. The fourth chapter describes the properties and wealth of the Lords of Krumlov on both the Bohemian and Austrian sides of the border. One section of the chapter is devoted to the mining of precious metals, thanks to which the Vítkovci gained their wealth and a significantly independent position. This is followed by a section on residences, which provides interesting information thanks to an interdisciplinary approach combining the results of archival, historical, construction-historical, and...

Peksa, Vojtěch ; Klápště, Jan (advisor) ; Velímský, Tomáš (referee)
The present work is focused on the medieval settlement in the river Oh e region (Czech Republic), with emphasis on the problem of development and the settlement process at the turn of the early and the high Middle Ages. The studied region, with the axis of the river Oh e, is occupied the area roughly from town Kada to Louny and it is corresponded to the parts of Chomutov and Louny districts. The definition includes geomorphologically different regional parts, providing diverse conditions for the development of settlement. At the same time, it is considered the cultural- historical and archaeological value of today's known archaeological sites. The basis of this thesis is the selection of several landscape probes with an area of several square kilometres, to which the detailed archaeological study is concentrated. These probes are defined in relation to the regional unit so that they can become representative samples that allow for the solution of major settlements of historical issues. The basis for defining probes is the characteristics of natural conditions, the list of settlement units and the catalogue of archaeological sites. The catalogue includes a brief record of all categories of medieval archaeological sites (rural settlements, noble settlements, sacral buildings, burial grounds). A...
Děčín and its Hinterland in the Middle Ages
Vodáková, Martina ; Klápště, Jan (advisor) ; Velímský, Tomáš (referee)
The diploma thesis examines Děčín with its surroundings in the Middle Ages. It explores primarily the medieval roads on the borderline of Bohemia and Saxony, more specifically the left side shoreline routes between Děčín and Pirna. The reconstruction of the road network is summarized in a register of routes and a map. The locations of the findings obtained from men with detectors strikingly coincide with the routes. These findings are summed up in an attached catalogue. This coincidence implies that the detected findings might have been directly related to the routes. Attention is given to the functioning of forest complexes taking as an example a probe into the landscape on the borderline of Bohemian Switzerland and The Lusatian Mountains. Furthermore, I complete and correct some older ideas about the nature and structure of a vanished town on Mariánská louka. I put forward relative and absolute chronology of ceramics based on archaeological research conducted between 2007 and 2008. It refers to the beginnings, development and decline of the town situated on Mariánská louka. Keywords: the Middle Ages, settlement, medieval town and its hinterland, Děčín, Bohemian Switzerland, communication systems, contact studies, non-agricultural landscape
