Principles of fun in Collectible Card Games and their Influence on the Players Life
Vaněk, Jiří ; Tuček, Milan (advisor) ; Martinová, Marta (referee)
The bachelor thesis Principles of fun in collectible card games and their influence on the players life is about a hobby game discipline called Collectible Card Games or Trading Card Games. Basic rules of collectible card games are described in the introduction. Theoretical block describes game in a different way, than people usually thought about it. Important part of thesis is empirical research which conducted in March 2014. This research was performed using the method called interview with manual which belongs under the qualitative methods. Research is focused on long- term Magic the Gathering players and took place in Prague game centre. Results of this research are divided to two major sections. First section is Fun and collectible card games and second section is Influence of community on player's life. First section is focusing on what is fun about gaming, why competition is important, factor of luck in games and what having a collection means for them. Second section is about relationship between the players, formation and maintenance of community and also about traveling and friendship. Whole research procedure is summarized in conclusion. Also, there are several ideas arising from the answers of the interviewed informants.
Bone Augmentation Materials Evaluation of Implant Osteointegration
Moztarzadeh, Omid ; Hrušák, Daniel (advisor) ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Pazdera, Jindřich (referee)
Bone Augmentation Materials Evaluation of Implant Osteointegration This dissertation thesis contains a description and results of six constituent studies. The first study was performed in order to investigate the most common indications for the use of three bone augmentation materials, Biogen, Cerasorb and Bioresorb. The most common indications identified were based on statistical data collected from patients treated at the Maxillofacial Surgery Department, Faculty Hospital in Pilsen, during 2003-2007. The second experiment was performed in vivo. We evaluated the possible osteoinduction potential and osteogenic activities of two different bone augmentation materials (Cerasorb, Biogen) by examining whether ectopic bone formation could be induced when implanted subcutaneously into the extremities of our test subjects (pigs). The results obtained, highlight the potential future use, of augmentation materials in creation of hard tissues, in areas where soft tissues are normally present. The third experiment was performed in order to evaluate the efficiency of Cerasorb bone augmentation material in bone healing. Cerasorb was applied into an artificial hole in the extremities of the test subjects and based on careful analysis of the radiographic and histological images, we found that Cerasorb gradually resorbed...
Secondary prevention practice and prognosis of patients after ischemic stroke
Vaněk, Jiří ; Mayer, Otto (advisor) ; Rokyta, Richard (referee) ; Vítovec, Jiří (referee)
SECONDARY PREVENTION PRACTICE AND PROGNOSIS OF PATIENTS AFTER ISCHEMIC STROKE JIŘÍ VANĚK, M.D. 2nd Department of Internal Medicine, Medical Faculty of Charles University and University Hospital, Pilsen, Czech Republic ABSTRACT It is evident that cerebrovascular disease including ischemic stroke belongs to the most common cause of disability or death in the world population. Secondary prevention in poststroke patiens can lead to reduce risk of recurrence or extend lifetime like in coronary heart disease (CHD). The principles of secondary prevention are well implemented in population with CHD, but the situation in poststroke patients is quite different. The assesment of secondary prevention in poststroke patiens and a comparison with patient with CHD was selected for a goal of this study. The study population consisted of Czech patients examined in the framework of well-defined surveys in patients after their first ischemic stroke. Patients represented pooled Czech samples of the project EUROASPIRE Stroke Modul or Stroke Survey in 2007 and in 2013. Better results in acute care were detected. Admissions in stroke unit in 2013 were realized more often than 2007 and fibrinolisis was aplicated more frequently too. On the contrary, arterial hypertension wasn't controlled better than the general population of...
Tooth extractions in patients with coagulation disorder
Houba, Robert ; Houbová, Helena (advisor) ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Stanko, Peter (referee)
The study deals with the question of minor oral surgery procedures, dental extractions especially, in patients suffering from haemocoagulation disorder. The aim of this study was 1) the clinical attestation of the risk of bleeding that may follow the dental extraction in patients with non-interrupted oral administration of drugs with the anticoagulant and antiplatelet effects and 2) suggestion of the schedules of surgical procedures suitable for this kind of patients and for the realization in the standard dental office. The opening theoretical part analyses the principle of haemocoagulation, the surway of individual inherited and acquired bleeding disorders and the main principles of treatment of bleeding patients in dental offices with the emphasis on the local security of the surgical wound. In the proper study we present the observation and evaluation of bleeding complications after the standard dental extractions in 3 groups of persons (age range, 19 to 93 years). In all patients, one or more extractions were performed. 99 patients were treated with oral anticoagulant therapy without any interruption and underwent 199 extractions. 149 patients, treated with antiplatelet therapy (acetylsalicylic acid) without interruption, underwent 347 extractions. 160 healthy subjects with 316 extractions served as a...
Solution Proposal of Solar Panel Instalation on the Selected Company Building
Vejchoda, Martin ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This Bachelor project focuses on processing the desing of photovoltaic powerplant for a small corporate facility. The first part describes solar energy, how can we use it, and the types of FV systems and cells. In the second part is the design of the systém. Firts, the object itself is descirbed and it’s energy consumption is detected and the suitable type of FVE is selected. The conclusion of the work consists the financial balance and economic return.
SELECTIVE EMITOR FOR THERMOPHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS
Šimonová, Lucie ; Hrzina,, Pavel (referee) ; Šály,, Vladimír (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The work is focused on research and development of a suitable method for creating a selective emitter for the visible and near infrared region so that they are able to work optimally together with silicon photovoltaic cells in a thermophotovoltaic system. The aim of the work was to develop a new method of creating very fine structures outside the current standard, which will increase the emissivity of the base material to meet the needs of a selective emitter for the VID and NIR region. The methods available to us for the creation of structures were chosen, from which we eliminated all unsuitable ones and we introduced the optimal procedure and parameters for their creation for the selected method. In this work, we focused on both ceramic and metallic materials, whose heat resistance and selective properties are key to this work. Part of the development of the emitter structures was also the need for pretreatment of the substrate itself, where great emphasis was placed on the purity of materials and surface roughness. Since ceramic materials cannot achieve a surface roughness so low that the desired structures can be formed, these materials have been purposefully used primarily for the purpose of combining the base material with thin layers of other high temperature material. Their compatibility and suitability were verified in terms of adhesion and subsequent heat resistance. The main material for the formation of fine structures was purposefully chosen tungsten, for which we verified the influence of the formed structure on the emissivity as well as the thermal stability during long-term exposure to high temperatures. The work thus represents not only a new method of creating very fine structures, which are not normally formed in such subtlety, but also opens the way to new possibilities of combining more materials to achieve the required selectivity of the thermophotovoltaic emitter.
