Folklore traditions of the Prácheň region and their use in music education

This thesis is focused on the folklore of the Prácheň region and what are the possibilities of its use in music lessons, primarily in the first grade of elementary school. The theoretical part focuses on a detailed description of individual elements of Prácheň folklore. For the most part, it is devoted to musical folklore, specifically folk music, bagpipe tradition, dances or folklore traditions such as the konopická tradition, which is gradually falling into oblivion. In addition to musical folklore, it describes traditional dishes or costumes. The practical part is divided into two sections. The first section is devoted to questionnaires. One for pupils from the region of Prácheň, which aims to find out the level of knowledge of Prácheň folklore and the degree of motivation to learn about it further, and the other for teachers, who aims to find out whether and to what extent they pay attention to Prácheň folklore in their classes. The second section of the practical part contains preparations for music education, each of which is dedicated to a topic related to Prácheň folklore. The themes are bagpipes, konopická and Švanda the piper, while many other folklore traditions of the area appear in them. How to use materials for teaching Czech as a foreign language in the therapy of afasia

Diplomová práce zjišťuje možnosti využití textových materiálů, zejména učebnic, pro výuku češtiny jako cizího jazyka pro práci terapeutů pacientů s Vycházíme ze zkušeností některých terapeutů, kteří pomocí materiálů pro výuku češtiny jako cizího jazyka kompenzují nedostatek afaziologických materiálů. Teoretická část práce přináší vybraná specifika češtiny jako cizího jazyka a terapie afázií a ukazuje shodné rysy jazykového projevu těchto dvou typů mluvčích. Součástí je také analýza projevu afatickéh připravovaného korpusu českých afatiků a analýza projevu nerodilého mluvčího češtiny. Oba rozbory se opírají o analýzy afatických projevů, které zpracovali lingvističtí odborníci. Praktickou část tvoří kvalitativní výzkum formou polostrukturov českými klinickými logopedy, jehož hlavním cílem bylo zjistit, zda tito terapeuti učebnice češtiny pro cizince používají, zda jsou podle jejich názoru pro terapii afázií vhodné a co by se na takových materiálech mohlo případně upravit, ab afázií užitečné. Zjistili jsme, že užívání učebnic češtiny pro cizince není mezi dotazovanými klinickými logopedy rozšířené. Po určitých úpravách si ale dokáží představit, že by je ve své praxi využili. Interpreting and its influence on the quality of sign language interpreters' operative memory

The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on interpreting with regard to simultaneous interpreting and sign language interpreting with all of its specifics. Furthermore, it deals with memory as such, as well as with working memory, which is consequently correlated with sign language users, with the process of simultaneous interpreting and with sign language interpreting. The empirical part is based on a qualitative research - testing of working memory among a group of sign language interpreters, spoken language interpreters and non- interpreters through Reading Span Task and Corsi's test. The results form the basis for a hypothesis necessary for the ensuing quantitative exploration: interpreting has a positive influence on the quality of working memory among sign language interpreters.
