(in English): The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is to approach and point out the events in Robert E. Lee's life and his decision, which influenced him to sign up for the Confederate side before the mere start of the Civil War. The work discusses Lee's youth, his studies and work before the war with Mexico, and also his family life. The subsequent work will be devoted to the Mexican- American War and the leading compromises. The Mexican-American war, in its consequences, was one of the main triggers of secession. The work will also discuss Robert E. Lee's view on slavery.
The Jacobite Rising 1745-1746

The purpose of this Bachelor thesis is to analyze the Jacobite uprisings in the years 1689-1746 with an emphasis on the uprising in 1745-1746. The issue is viewed primarily from the perspective of the Stuart family. In brief, the reader is presented with the events that lead to the removal of this family from the English and British throne. Furthermore, the thesis examines the development of the Jacobite movement from the Glorious Revolution to the Battle of Culloden. She is mainly devoted to the analysis of strategy, planning, important events for this movement, but also the internal conditions in England, later Great Britain, France and Spain.
The Change of Relationship between Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon

(in English): The English king Henry VIII went down in history as controversial man, who wanted the male heir so badly, that he was not afraid of anything. For some people he was the great monarch, who was able to divert from Rome. For others he was a monster, who did not hesitate to mentally abuse his first wife Catherine of Aragon and beheaded his other two wives. Henry with his six marriages was recorded in awareness of general public. The aim of this thesis was analysing family life of Henry VIII and his first wife Catherine of Aragon, which was interweaved with great banquets and celebrations, but also with dynastic issues. Henry VIII was all his reign afraid of securing his throne. His father, Henry VII succeeded the throne after long, bloody, and exhausting domestic policy fight, in which he had the obligation to secure his throne and power by multiple offspring. As the first fiancé of Henry VIII was chosen Catherine of Aragon, the widow after his brother Artur. It is suggested that Henry and Catherine conceived seven to nine offspring. Unfortunately, the only surviving heir was a daughter Mary. Because of the new dynasty Henry VIII needed a male heir. In the year 1523 it was obvious that Catherine would not be able to produce another child, Henry with his statesman cardinal Thomas Wolsey...

The bachelor's thesis aims to analyze the early years of Queen Victoria's reign, between 1837 and 1841. The events that accompanied her birth, childhood, adolescence, adulthood and primarily her accession to the throne, coronation, reign of the queen during the reign of Lord Melbourne and then Sir Robert Peel. The work ends with a chapter on choosing a suitable match for marriage, the subsequent marriage of Queen Victoria to Prince Albert and the birth of the first-born daughter. Métis and Canadian expansion policy

The bachelor's thesis deals with the mixed Métis population, in the territory of today's Canadian province of Manitoba, during the expansion of the dominion to the West. It focuses on the period between 1867-1885, when the efforts of the Dominion of Canada were manifested to join Manitoba as another Canadian province. These efforts began to restrict the Métis and culminated in the rebellions on the Red River and the Northwest Rebellion, led by Louis Riel, today one of the most controversial figures in Canadian history.
Analysis of media appeasement in the British press in the 1930s

The thesis studies the political and journalistic history of Great Britain in the 1930s. The main topic of the thesis is the mapping and subsequent analysis of the British periodical press in the mentioned period. It primarily deals with the so-called media appeasement of the British press in relation to the established foreign policy of Great Britain, the concessions of its leading representatives to Benito Mussoliniʼs fascist Italy, and subsequently to Adolf Hitlerʼs Nazi Germany. Thesis examines differences in the approach of individual periodicals to the presentation of specific foreign-political topics that resonated in the period before the outbreak of the Second World War. The study defines which periodicals tended to government policy and analyses how they did so. It also examines whether British newspapers were inclined towards the mentioned extremist regimes. Special attention is given to British newspaper market and the ties of newspaper houses and owners to the political scene of Great Britain.

(English): The British India evolved significantly during the administration of governor-general Richard Wellesley. The primary objective of this Master's thesis is to analyze this imporant period of Indian history. The two most important conflicts of this period will be outlined - the last war with Tippu Sultan and the fairly complex Maratha Confederacy conflict started by the signing of the Treaty of Vasai. This treaty is very important milestone of the British rule in India. The thesis will also analyze the british policy of subsidiary alliances, which was applied to indigenous rulers.

Great Britain and the Concept of the Balance of Power at the Congress of Vienna

(in English): The bachelor thesis analyses the approach of Great Britain towards the balance of power concept and its subsequent application at the Congress of Vienna, 1814-1815. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to assess how this approach influenced the goals which Great Britain aimed to achieve and how it influenced its choice of allies. However it deals with the broader impact on the conduct of the Congress and its approach to selected questions too. The thesis is based mainly on editions of issued correspondence and analysis of modern historical monographs and articles primarily of anglosaxon provenience. The methods of international realtions and political history analyses are applied.
