Vonášková, Irena ; Smetáčková, Irena (advisor) ; Valentová, Lidmila (referee)
In bachelor thesis was concerned with finding conjunction between central characteristics of children and their position in the group. What characteristics are wondered by children on their classmates? The research took place in 9th class in a school on a village and in Prague. I used the techniques in my research, SO-RA-D (kind of sociometry) and a repertory grid. I used SO-RA-D to discover the position of children in the group and repertory grid to discover central characteristics. Then I confronted these techniques with each other. In my research central characteristics was neatness and communicativeness, in both schools. The children in high sociometric position was labelled by their classmates like witty and talkative, the children in low sociometric position was labelled like no talkative and poky. Other central characteristic was different in the classes. The techniques elicit similar but not the same things. SO-RA-D elicits the position in the group, and the repertory grid gives our information about characteristics, which are considered by the members of group crucial for the group. When we join these two techniques together, we can discover the characteristics which, is crucial for constructing group's hierarchy.

The thesis titled "Use of animal assisted therapy for the hospitalized children" deals with the theoretical background of animal assisted therapy as a supporting method in complex rehabilitation and its practical use during the visits of volunteers with their dogs and its influence to the health of children in hospital care. In the available literature are often described the positive effects of the animal assisted therapy onto the mental and physical condition of the person, the impact on improving communication as well as other factors in the social life of the client. The main focuse of my work is whether these effects can be observed (noticed) even in the short term or even after a single visit of the dog. Using quantitative and qualitative methods, I have tried to describe this impact and possibly uncover additional benefits that can be attributed to the visits of the volunteers with a dog at pediatric hospital.
