Simulation of short circuit tests in a short-circuit laboratory
Vykoukal, Tomáš ; Valenta, Jiří (referee) ; Huzlík, Rostislav (advisor)
The task of this bachelor thesis was to create a short-circuit simulation test room. This short-circuit simulation test room is part of UVEE. Short-circuit test room is a complex device, which contains several types of electric machines and equipments involved in one circuit. We got to know with the involvement of short-circuit test room. And we conducted a simple simulation in Matlab toolbox Simscape Power Systems.
3D CAD systems used in the field of electrical apparatuses
Makki, Zbyněk ; Krejčí, Jan (referee) ; Valenta, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this project is to describe and compare individual 3D CAD systems and data format used in the area of construction and technical support in agreement with factual needs of project submitter company OEZ, Ltd. Fulfilment of 3D CAD systems background research which are used in the area of design of the electrical switchboards LV. Description of the main possibilities, that the particular system offers. Supported data format for export and import are mentioned too.
Design systems used in the field of electrical apparatuses
Stejskal, Jiří ; Krejčí, Jan (referee) ; Valenta, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis is engaged on the base of submitter´s requests company OEZ, s.r.o. and is divided into two parts. The first part of work deals with the most often used 2D CAD systems that are used by designers according to their answers in the area of suggestion of electric switchboards low voltage. In the work are described main possibilities of these systems, then what kinds of data format are supported by them. In the second part of the work are described programs established on calculation of warming switchboards. It goes about programs, which supply concrete producer of switchboard case, and further programs based on method of final elements and method of final volume, which enable graphic representation of results.
Analysis of effects of short-circuit current in switchgear cabinet
Prokop, Jan ; Bušov, Bohuslav (referee) ; Valenta, Jiří (advisor)
The work is focusing on dynamic effects of short-circuit currents, more precisely dynamic effects of short-circuit currents on switchgear cabinet (terminal box). The work was designated to a concrete construction type of two switchgear cabinets located on rotating machines via company Siemens Electric Machines Drásov s.r.o.. The switchgear cabinets are designed for non-explosive environment where the air is used as an insulating medium. The task was to determine how the device will behave during the three-phase short-circuit and three-phase short-circuit with earth/ground connection. The following programs were used for the calculations and simulations: Ansoft Maxwell 16.0, Ansoft Maxwell 2015 and ANSYS Workbench 16.0. By using these programs the effects of forces which acts on current paths in cabinet caused by the passage of short-circuit current were simulated, statically and also dynamically. Further the effects of pressure acting on cabinet frame during the arc short-circuit have been statically and dynamically simulated. All the results are summarized in the conclusion. Conclusion also contains the final evaluation of the functionality of both switchgear cabinets.
Contact erosion of switchgear under real conditions
Holoubek, Josef ; Bušov, Bohuslav (referee) ; Valenta, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the material loss - contacts erosion during switching process of the switchgears. First part is focused on the switchgears generally, their dividing and functions. Then there is closer look on the contacts of switchgears and what is necessary to be considered during their designing a operating. In this part there is also section devoted to the theory of the contacts erosion including the formulas for material loss calculation, which I found in existing literature. Practical part is focused on the contact system model and the measuring performed on this model. Measuring was also performed on the real switchgears for common use. There is also part devoted to this measuring. In the last part of thesis the analyze of the measured values is performed.
Measurement of basic electrical variables on drives of LV circuit breakers
Mazálek, Tomáš ; Valenta, Jiří (referee) ; Bušov, Bohuslav (advisor)
This thesis has been created for the purpose of comparing calculated values by oscilloscope and by Excel. For this it was necessary to show a theory of electrical values of non-sinusoidal and aperiodic signal. There has been shown the methods of measuring of power consumption on motor operator for acquisition of relevant data. My thesis brings a wide overview, which is connected with motor operators. I am analyzing a principle of motor operator, methods of right measuring and I am describing a transfer of kinetic energy from driving motor to contacts of circuit breaker.
A fuse heating measurement using IR camera
Belák, Michal ; Valenta, Jiří (referee) ; Aubrecht, Vladimír (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis deals with various principles of contactless temperature measuring and comparison of these principles. Different kinds of detectors, which are used in pyrometers and thermovision systems are presented, together with description of various kinds of the contactless thermometers, their division according to many different criteria. Next it is intended on the description of thermovision exploitation in different areas of practice. An example of practical fuse heating measuring and its analysis is also presented.
A Sample ARC Detector Panel
Pala, Lukáš ; Valenta, Jiří (referee) ; Kadlec, Radim (advisor)
In the introduction an electric arcs creation in low voltage networks is discussed, followed by evaluation of verification measurements with AFDD. A serial arc generator is designed in accordance with easy manipulation and low maintenance requirements. Technological solution for safe fault simulation is described similarly as particular function sections of demonstration panel. Schematic diagrams of power and electronic circuits are attached.
