Accessibility assessment of the nononline counseling centers for tobacco smokers

Petra Holcnerová Assessment of the Accessibility of Non-Online Clinics for Tobacco Smokers in the Czech Republic In the Czech Republic, there is a network of medical centers for the treatment of tobacco addiction. This network is supplemented by cooperating clinics for smokers. This thesis surveys the availability of these clinics for regular smokers, excluding intentionally the online help centers. The basic objective of the thesis is to survey the availability of such clinics in the individual regions of the Czech Republic and to test whether these clinics (listed in an online register) are actually active in providing services to potential clients. The data used for this research were obtained via mystery shopping method using a set of strictly defined rules. Based on the research output and its analysis, the thesis presents a thorough assessment of the clinics' services to clients, e.g. whether they cater to clients coming from the particular region or whether they are open to any client regardless of his domicile. Annotation: This thesis deals with dependency behaviour and internet addiction among youth between the age of 11 to 15. It is very comnon to use internet as source of information as much as source of fun among this popullation. But the modern problem with internet abuse is definitely recent uprise of numerous social networks. They became an essential part of common teenager's life where everyone can be anyone. The communication has no rules, it is easier and smiley faces are better to express emotions than do it in person. All these things are tempting for young people and make them to sign up to these networks and share thein private lives with almost the whole world. Not that having a profile like this is something wrong, but does it really have to be the main part how to communicate with friends and make new ones? The relationship of emotional attachment in adolescence to the development of problematic use of social networks: a questionnaire survey

Background: Addictive and excessive use of the Internet and social networks are viewed as increasingly relevant topics and are widely discussed in professional and non-professional society. Research shows that these problematic forms of social network use are most prevalent among younger individuals, especially adolescents and young adults. Emotional attachment theory is one of the many important theories of addiction science that offers an explanation for the development of addictive forms of behaviour. Aim: The aim of this thesis is to describe the relationship of emotional attachment in adolescence to the onset of social network use and the development of its problematic use. Methods: A cross-sectional online questionnaire survey was conducted. The questionnaire consisted of two original sections of questions and the BFAS and ECR-RS questionnaire. Respondents were selected using a combination of self-selection and the Snowball method. The questionnaire's criteria for the respondents were age 18-26 years and having at least 1 established account on any social network. Negative emotional states as a cause of relapse in the context of aftercare - case study

Background: Treatment and aftercare experience shows that addiction clients do not orient themselves to their experience, perceiving it as threatening with a habitual tendency to avoid it. Negative emotions can act as triggers for relapse, for this reason it is important to pay attention to the topic of emotions also in the aftercare phase. Aims: The aim of this paper is to describe how negative emotional states and so-called core emotions contribute to the maintenance of addictive behaviour in the aftercare phase. In the practical part, the therapeutic work with a client is presented, focusing on the treatment of two relapses, within the theoretical framework of the cognitive-behavioral model of relapse prevention and using elements of the psychotherapeutic approach of Emotion- Focused Therapy. Methods: A qualitative research method was chosen in the form of a case study of a client of a aftercare centre who had experienced two relapses. Ethical aspects of the work were observed. Results: The case study illustrates the client's motivation to avoid negative emotional states through the use of alcohol, thereby easily achieving the necessary calming and release from intrapsychic and external environmental pressures. Background: Gaming is becoming more of a popular leisure time activity. "Multiplayer Online Battle Arena" (MOBA) games have become one of the most played video games in 2022, MOBA games became even more popular than one of the most reaserched genre of games, "Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games" (MMORPGs). Some authors state that MOBA games have the biggest potential for becoming addictive for it's players. However, reaserch does not show the magnitude of playing popular MOBA games on the quality of life of it's players. Objectives: The main goal of this work was to find out the relation between the quality of life and playing MOBA videogames - to figure out how the quality of life of MOBA game players differs from the quality of life of standart population, to find out how the quality of life differs according to their potential hazardous gaming or addiction to gaming, and to find out how the quality of life of MOBA games players differs regarding the time spent playing MOBA games. Termination phase in psychotherapy/counselling with addictology clients

Background: The final phase of therapy/counselling is the culmination of the therapeutic process and, if done carefully, can help clients consolidate the benefits of treatment. This topic is not well researched in the literature, especially in the field of addiction medicine. Objectives: The objective of the research was to map how the final phase of therapy/counselling in individual addiction treatment is conducted, from the perspective of therapists/counsellors. Furthermore, to find out how they approach it, what importance they attach to it and what role the therapeutic relationship plays. The objective was also to discover what topics emerge at the end of treatment and what emotions clients and therapists experience at this stage. Methods: Data were collected using a grounded theory qualitative research method. Six outpatient therapists/counsellors working with addicted clients participated in the research and were interviewed in semi-structured interviews. Results: Therapists/counsellors approach to the final phase of treatment with an addicted client individually each time, yet indicators of client readiness for termination were identified and may vary. Technology-mediated addictive behavior in children of drug-addicted mothers: a qualitative analysis from the perspective of both actors

Background: Many studies show that technology-mediated addictive behaviors are on the rise among children. For Generation Z, using technology is a normal part of life. The generation of parents of these children may have different attitudes towards technology use. This paper maps mothers' parenting strategies in this area and it compares children's and mothers' attitudes towards technology-mediated addictive behaviours. Aims: The main aim of the research is to describe the technology-mediated addictive behaviours of children of clients of the addiction services, and to describe the attitude and approach of these women towards their children's addictive behaviour. It is also intended to target the differences in perceptions of addictive behavior on technology in the mother-child dyad. Methods: The research population consisted of 4 mother-child dyads, which were chosen deliberately. It was a qualitative research approach. A semi-structured interview and open coding method was used. This bachelor thesis deals with the unfinished D8 highway, especially the section headed through the protected landscape area of České středohoří, and with the problems arising from this situation. The theoretical part is devoted to describing the negative effects caused by vehicle traffic, possibilities of their elimination and the history of highway construction with the other alternatives. In the empirical part is solved the traffic situation on congested roads that substitute this unfinished section and the resulting consequences in terms of emission. EVALUATION OF SELF-HELP APPLICATION FOCUSED ON MANAGING ADDICTIVE BEHAVIOR ON INTERNET BY THE SATISFACTION OF CLIENTS

This thesis deals with addictive behavior on the Internet and provides a theoretical overview of this issue, including descriptions of the types of addictive behavior, diagnostic criteria, diagnostic tools and the therapeutic intervention. In focus is the topic of online psychotherapy and self-help programs related to addictive behavior. Furthermore is presented the online self- help intervention program for people who have problem with addictive behavior on the Internet and description of this program. The second part is devoted to the evaluation of client satisfaction with self-help program. The aim of the research was to obtain views and feedback from clients of the program, which would further serve to enhance the program to the needs of clients. The evaluation was made by anonymous questionnaire, clients were asked to complete a questionnaire via e-mail. The research group consists of clients of self-help program, the method of choice was a simple type of purposive sampling, where the selection criterion was the registration in the self-help program. Questionnaires were prepared in electronic form and data analysis carried out by creating of clusters. Video game playing as a risk factor in adolescence?

Diploma thesis "Video game playing as a risk factor in adolescence?" deals with actuality of risks for children and youth linked to video games. This topic is currently intensively disscused because of cases of high school shootings. There are concerns that violence in video games is connected to rising of children and youth violence. Another risks refered to video games are addiction and obesity. This diploma thesis deals with these risk too. Goal of this thesis is find out if these risks are real and how great is influence of video games on addiction and obesity. Important topic in this thesis are parents. Parents are important participants who can oversee content of video games played by children and influence amount of time, which children and youth spend by playing of video games.
