Microstructural investigations of novel high entropy alloys
Vlasák, Tomáš ; Čížek, Jakub (advisor) ; Nový, František (referee) ; Moreira, Afonso (referee)
High entropy alloys constitute a novel approach in materials research. In this thesis, four novel alloys (namely NbTaTiZr, HfNbTaTiZr, HfNbTiVZr and HfNbTaTiVZr) are investigated. Their microstructure and mechanical properties are studied both in the as-cast and the annealed state. It is shown that their strengthening is caused by lattice distortions, which are the result of random filling of lattice sites by atoms of various elements with different atomic radii. Furthermore, positron annihilation investigations revealed that positrons actively search for open volumes in interstitial regions associated with lattice distortions, and therefore lattice distortions can be characterised by positron lifetimes.
Agreements and contracts within copyright law
Vlasák, Tomáš ; Křesťanová, Veronika (advisor) ; Holcová, Irena (referee)
- CONTRACTUAL COPYRIGHT LAW This theses deals with contracts in copyright law. Its main aim is to describe legal regulation concerning most frequent types of contracts in copyright law and to compare the regulation of these contracts as it was before the recodification of Czech private law, which was done by the new civil code, with the state after it and to mark out main terminological and conceptual changes, which have some connection to contractual copyright law. The work consists of eight chapters. The first chapter contains a brief overview of domestic sources of contractual copyright law. The second chapter explains some basic concepts of copyright law which have some relation to the contractual law - the concepts of authors' rights and prohibition of its transfer to other person and terms of license and consent in copyright law. In this chapter reader also finds subchapters on new legal definition of things and ownership in the new civil code and how these new definitions influence copyrighted works and license agreements. Chapters three to eight describe the legal regulation of the most important types of contracts in the contractual copyright law. The third chapter is the core of the work. It describes in detail the license agreement. It points out irregularities of contractual process in...

Vlasák, Tomáš ; Hladný, Josef (advisor) ; Soukalová, Eva (referee) ; Kříž, Vladislav (referee)
(EN): Study of historical flood events is important as a base for hydrological studies, as well as for proposal offlood control measures and real-time flood forecasting helping forecasters to support their decisions. This work deals with proposal of Flood Archive (databa of flood event) and its app|ication in the scope offlood protection ofotava river basin to Písek water gauge. The objective was to pťopose Archive of historical floods containing information about casual synoptical situation, connected weather phenomena (precipitation, temperature) and runoff response. Flood formation mechanism in otava river basin was described using this Archive. A forecasting technique based on analogue method was designed. This technique searches historical records for flood events of similar causes and estimates possible development of runoff response. Archive consists of 72 flood events that occurred between I 890 and 2006 and their peak flow in all cases exceeded given threshold discharge in Písek closin. profile (lO-year return period for 1890-196,l and ,l -year return period for 1961-2006). Available historical data was gathered and processed inÍ.lgraphic form (maps, graphs' tables). F|ood Archive is part of the di ssertation thesis. The most outstanding features of flood formation mechanism in otava river...

Muscle disbalance in golf players
Vlasák, Tomáš ; Šteffl, Michal (advisor) ; Gryc, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Muscular disbalance of golf players Purpose: The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to define the relationship between the movement golf swing and muscle disbalance on certain muscle groups based on six case studies using the Tensiomyography. Methods: The bachelor thesis has the character of qualitative research. The measurements were made based on the assumption of characteristic muscle imbalances that could occur as a result of a golf swing. Six case studies have been carried out. The tensiomyography measuring instrument TMG 100 was used for measurements. Results: Based on measurements of six probands, muscle disbalances were found on the upper body parts. Predominantly in muscle muscles deltoideus posterior and erector spinae and triceps brachii.
Terms of Merger
Vlasák, Tomáš ; Čech, Petr (referee) ; Josková, Lucie (referee)
The topic of this doctor thesis is the Terms of Merger as a fundamental document of this form of corporate transformation. The terms are drafted by the executives of each of the participating corporations at the early stage of the merger and provide for the fundamental legal, economic and accounting principles of the merger. The thesis is structured as to describe firstly the common requirements for all corporations of each legal form. The following section deals with the specific statutory requirements for each legal form of corporations. Finally, there are described specifics of the terms in case of a cross-border merger. Where appropriate the current regulation is supplemented by the most recent historical development. Since our legal regulation has undergone a significant development in the recent 25 years the thesis provides also for a description of certain merger specifics applicable in various European legislations, e.g. the possibility of a cross-border merger for a corporation residing in Switzerland, as a non-EU and non-EEC country, and a possibility of triangular mergers. From this description there follow certain proposals for amendments of the merger regulation that are summarized in the conclusion of this doctor thesis.
Microstructure and thermal stability of ultra fine grained Mg-Zn-Y alloys
Vlasák, Tomáš ; Čížek, Jakub (advisor) ; Procházka, Ivan (referee)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to investigate microstructure and thermal stability of ultra fine grained magnesium alloys. The thesis first summarises methods using plastic deformation in order to achieve ultra fine grained structure that are used to process metals. Then experimental methods employed in the experimental part including microhardness testing, scanning electron microscopy and positron annihilation spectroscopy are described. Brief summary of previous research on MgZnY alloys strengthened by quasicrystalline phases and Mg22Gd alloys is given. Finally, results of experimental investigation of MgZnY alloys with various Zn/Y ratios and Mg22Gd alloy are discussed. These results suggest that presence of phases in MgZnY alloys depend on Zn/Y ratio, hardness of these alloys depends on Zn content and that rapid cooling of MgZnY alloys annealed at 500 řC lead to significant increase in volume fraction of quasicrystalline icosahedral phase. In the second section of the experimental part thermal behaviour of Mg22Gd alloy is investigated. Furthermore, formation of GdH2 particles in Mg22Gd is examined and attributed to reaction of hydrogen decomposed from water vapour with gadolinium in areas rich in gadolinium. Finally, significant hardening of Mg22Gd alloy processed by high pressure torsion has been...

Study of thermal stability of Mg-alloys strengthened by quasicrystalline phase
Vlasák, Tomáš ; Čížek, Jakub (advisor) ; Procházka, Ivan (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with thermal stability of icosahedral phase in Mg-Zn-Y alloys. To study this phenomenon, samples of Mg-3.5Y-35Zn alloy were prepared and equal channel angular pressing method (ECAP) performed at two different temperatures was used to refine their microstructure. Phases in the samples were characterised by scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X- ray spectroscopy. Strengthening effect of icosahedral phase (I-phase) with quasicrystalline structure was examined by measuring Vickers hardness of the samples. Temperatures at which precipitation and dissolution of various phases occur were studied by differential scanning calorimetry. Finally, defect recovery with increasing temperature was investigated by means of positron annihilation lifetime measurement. To identify chemical elements surrounding dislocations coincidence measurements of Doppler broadening of annihilation peak were conducted. Obtained results are as follows. Icosahedral dendritic structures are stable in Mg-3.5Y-35Zn alloy at temperatures up to 350 řC, at higher temperatures they are dissolved in the matrix. Recovery of dislocations takes place in the temperature range from 140 řC to 260 řC and leads to decrease in strength of the alloy processed by ECAP. Concentrations of zinc and yttrium are not enhanced...
