Comparison of the fruits of some honeysuckle varieties in terms of content selected biologically active compounds
Veselý, Ondřej ; Diviš, Pavel (referee) ; Vespalcová, Milena (advisor)
This thesis is focused to the analysis of selected varieties of honeysuckle kamtschatica (Lonicera caerula var kamtschatica) and their comparison in terms of the content of biologically active substances. There were analysed only varieties grown in 2014. Theoretical part elaborates and characterized various parameters of biologically active compounds such as phenolic, anthocyanins and ascorbic acid and possibilities of their determination. Further it briefly surveys Kamchatka honeysuckle, its taxonomic and morphological properties and its nutritional properties. The experimental part of the work was focused on the description of the methods used for the analysis of biologically active substances and their analysis. Polyphenolic compounds and anthocyanin’s were determined spectrophotometrically and vitamin C was determined by high-performance liquid chromatography. The results and varieties were compared with each other. Overall, we can say that the variety with the highest content of all three analysed biologically active substances is a variety Valchová, which had the second highest content of polyphenolic compounds (546.3 mg · 100 g-1 fruits), the third highest contend of ascorbic acid (35.1 mg · 100 g-1 fruits) and the sixth highest content of anthocyanin (170.8 mg · 100 g-1 fruits)

Methodology Suggestion for the Choosing of Insurance Products for Individuals
Gregorová, Jitka ; Veselý, Ondřej (referee) ; Škapa, Stanislav (advisor)
Diploma Thesis called “Methodology Suggestion for the Choosing of Insurance Products for Individuals” deals with Procedure design of selected insurance products for natural persons with regard for their insurance needs and costs. In order to see the differences between clients' real needs and what insurance companies offer I have compared insurance companies statistics with question-forms' results. The question-forms were focused on the needs of clients in insurance. After that I have designed a procedure and algorithm of choice of suitable insurance products for cost optimization for each assurance
The Apartment block Novolisenska
Veselý, Ondřej ; Erben, Adam (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor) ; Šuhajda, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a new "viladum" (a smaller apartment building with a higher standard of living) in Brno Líšeň. The work is based on a previously developed architectural study developed within the course AG32. "Viladum" usually referres to as older urban villas, which have been converted to host more housing units. Today this is a very comfortable and desirable form of housing. The topic of the thesis was to create a design of a smaller apartment house, typologically emerging from the "viladum". The proposed building has one underground and three above-ground floors. Each of the above floors contains one dwelling unit. The proposal uses the height difference on the site to create a ramp for vehicles in the basement where garages are located. The volume and location of the house on the parcel is mainly based on the limits given by the development plan. The house was deliberately designed with a higher standard of living. From the elevator you can enter directly into the apartments. The ground floor apartment is completed with a garden, an apartment on the third floor, southwest oriented to the terrace. The south and east side of the apartments are illuminated by French windows and balconies. The building meets the requirements for low-energy buildings according to ČSN 73 0540-2: 2011. The basement consists of a monolithic reinforced concrete structure made of waterproof concrete on the principle of "white bathub". Above-ground floors are made of porous concrete blocks combined with monolithic reinforced concrete ceilings. The roof is designed as a green roof.
Machining of hardened steels
Veselý, Ondřej ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Jaroš, Aleš (advisor)
Diploma thesis on Machining hardened steels is focused on the analysis of longitudinal turning of hardened steel 14 109 by using a tool from PKNB in terms of measuring the force load using a dynamometer and then evaluating the surface quality. The theoretical part deals with the issue of turning technology, cutting materials and heat treatment of steel. In the practical part, the influence of cutting conditions on the resulting values was assessed during the experiment. Twelve samples with different combinations of cutting conditions were tested, then was selected a sample that met the criterion of combining minimum cutting forces values and surface quality. The experiment shows that force load values can be achieved twice less by combining cutting conditions with an appropriate combination.
Proposal for the Financing of the Czech Floorball Union
Veselý, Ondřej ; Němec, Vojtěch (referee) ; Zinecker, Marek (advisor)
The main goal of my bachelor´s thesis is to analyze current financial situation of civil corporation ČFbU, with the accent on financial analysis in term of receipts index. At the base of evaluation of the financial situation in years 2004 to 2006 are formulated partial conclusions. Further is proposed project to improve financial position of ČFbU.
Synthesis of novel zeolite materials and their application in catalysis
Veselý, Ondřej ; Přech, Jan (advisor) ; Zima, Vítězslav (referee) ; Hronec, Mlan (referee)
Zeolites are crystalline microporous tectosilicates with acidic properties. The pore sizes of molecular dimensions restrict molecules from entering/exiting the pores based on the molecule size and geometry, or formation of certain (bulky) transition states within the pores. Accordingly, zeolites have become vital industrial catalysts, adsorbents and ion-exchangers. Zeolites are commonly synthesised by hydrothermal crystallization. However, this method provides only limited control over their crystal structure, morphology, or location of active sites within the framework. Some of these limitations can be overcome using an alternative synthetic method; the Assembly-Disassembly-Organisation- Reassembly (ADOR). The ADOR transforms a parent (germanosilicate) zeolite into a layered precursor and subsequently uses the layers as building blocks for a new zeolite framework. We aimed to develop methodology to control the crystal morphology of germanosilicate zeolite UTL (Assembly), determine the mechanism of the UTL hydrolysis (Disassembly), and to reconstruct the parent UTL zeolite from the ICP-1P layered material (Organisation and Reassembly) since the traditional ADOR yields zeolites of smaller channel size but the parent UTL. We found the UTL crystal morphology progressively varies the Si/Ge molar ratio...
The effect of substituents, structure of the reactant and type of active sites on the reaction rate and selectivity of cyclization reactions
Živný, Marek ; Veselý, Ondřej (advisor) ; Bulánek, Roman (referee)
Tetrahydropyrans (THPs) are valuable compounds in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and fragrances. Currently, THPs are most commonly synthesized using the Prins cyclisation, hetero-Diels-Alder reaction and oxy-Michael reaction. These reactions are undesirable because they use catalysts based on heavy metals and strong acids, which are harmful to the environment. In this thesis, we investigated the synthesis of THPs with the aim of replacing toxic heavy metals and strong acids with more benign catalysts, such as zeolites. Zeolites are microporous crystalline metallosilicates, which are commonly used as catalysts due to their high acidity, selectivity and stability. Previous research has successfully shown that zeolites can catalyse THP synthesis through cyclisation of unsaturated alcohols and determined the effect of pore size on catalytic activity. In contrast, this work aimed to examine zeolites with different framework elements, which introduce diverse types of acid sites. Additionally, we aimed to investigate the impact of functional groups present in the structure of the reactants, specifically functional groups with either electron-donating (EDG) or electron-withdrawing (EWG) effects and with different aromatic cycle systems. We chose (E)5-phenyl-4-pentenol as the primary reactant for the cyclisation....
