Virtual file system in user space
Veselý, Milan ; Yaghob, Jakub (advisor) ; Horký, Vojtěch (referee)
This thesis presents a custom Virtual File System (VFS) built with C++, using a custom wrapper for the FUSE library. The VFS is modular in design, facilitating easy extension with new features. Two prototype modules for ver- sioning and encryption are also included, each accompanied by a command- line interface tool for control, such as restoring versions or encrypting files. Thanks to its password/key protection and encryption capabilities, the VFS enhances file management, enabling secure storage and retrieval of sensitive data. In addition, built-in versioning functionality allows users to access and restore previous file versions with ease. Once the VFS is mounted, it can be accessed in the same standard way as any other file system, making it user-friendly and accessible.
3D model of the selected object
Veselý, Milan ; Nosek, Jakub (referee) ; Kalvoda, Petr (advisor)
The aim of the thesis was to assess the accuracy of photogrammetric results from images taken with a low-cost Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro camera and a professional digital SLR camera Canon EOS 6D Mark II with a 24 mm fixed lens. The chapel of St. John of Nepomuk near Guntramovice was chosen as the subject for the images. Forty-nine insertion and control points were targeted and scanned at the chapel. Block and beam alignment and creation of 3D mesh models was performed in Bentley ContexCapture software. The standard deviations of all three axes (X, Y, Z) and positional standard deviation on the control points and deviations relative to a reference point cloud acquired with a ground-based laser scanner were statistically tested. The results show that, with the right imaging and processing methods, comparable results can be achieved using a low-cost camera.
The use of genetic variability for the purposes of conservation biology: case studies of populations in captivity and nature
Opelka Somerová, Barbora ; Frynta, Daniel (advisor) ; Veselý, Milan (referee) ; Vojar, Jiří (referee)
2 Abstract In this dissertation thesis, I focused mainly on the topic of endangered species conservation in three projects, which were realized in cooperation with Prague ZOO. The other two subprojects, which are part of this dissertation, deal with the topic of genetic diversity analysis in nature and were realized in cooperation with institutions in Indonesia and Armenia. In all these projects I used a similar laboratory and computational methodology, although each project addressed different problems. In the main and probably the most important project, I studied the skinks of genus Tiliqua living in the Moluccas, New Guinea (Irian Jaya) and adjacent islands. I analyzed mitochondrial and nuclear markers to reveal the phylogenetic and population relationships. In the second project, I focused on the study of ex situ population of Mauremys annamensis in European captive breeding. The goal was to determine the haplotype diversity and detect the F1 hybrids in population. In the third project, I examined the genetic variability of Orlitia borneensis in European zoological gardens for the purposes of ex situ breeding program organization. The fourth project is focused on examination of genetic variability of Chilabothrus angulifer population, which is kept in European breeding. I studied ...
Territoriality in lizards
Chmelař, Jan ; Rehák, Ivan (advisor) ; Veselý, Milan (referee)
Territoriality in lizads Jan Chmelař Abstract : Territoriality is a widely discussed phenomenon occuring among all groups of vertebrates on intraspecific level. Nevertheless, lizards occupy a prominent position due to a nearly endless variability in forms of territorial behaviour on the levels of higher taxons, species, populations and individuals. Examples could be systems of social dominance hierarchy, female territoriality or interspecific territoriality. Importance of territoriality is obvious as a way of reproduction control and exclusive usage of space and resources and has a positive impact on individuals that are able to defend their territories. On the other hand, there is a higher exposure to predators and a cost in a form of depleted energy. One other thing is that it sometimes complicates efforts of conservational biologists by lowering genetic variability inside populations of endangered species. Key words: territoriality, social dominance, lizards, home range
Accuracy Assessment of Photogrammetric Results from Low Cost and Professional Camera
Prokop, Jaromír ; Nosek, Jakub ; Kalvoda, Petr ; Veselý, Milan
The aim of the article was to assess the accuracy of photogrammetric results using images of a low-cost camera, a Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro mobile phone, and a Canon EOS 6D Mark II professional digital reflex camera. A total of 51 control and checkpoints were created at the chapel, and it was scanned by a terrestrial laser scanner. Bundle block adjustment and mesh model generation were performed using Bentley ContextCapture. 2D standard deviations and standard deviations of elevation at checkpoints and deviations from the reference terrestrial laser scanning point cloud were statistically tested. The results show that with a suitably selected imaging configuration, high-quality photogrammetric results can be achieved even with a low-cost camera
Stirling cycle
Veselý, Milan ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work was aimed to comparise of ideal traditional and alternative termodynamic cycles, calculations and determinativ of efficiency of these cycles, executions of p-V and T-S diagrams with a closer look at the Stirling cycle.
Surveying and production of a special map of a part of the Luba creek valley (cadastral area Malhostovice)
Veselý, Milan ; Kratochvíl, Richard (referee) ; Vondrák, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to make a purpose map at a scale of 1: 500. The locality of the Luba brook was given as a locality for mapping. The tachymetry method was used for detailed mapping. The performed measurement was connected to the binding reference systems S-JTSK and Bpv. After calculating the coordinates of the detailed points, a topography was created and the data were transferred to a DMT triangular network to represent the elevation. All work was carried out in accordance with standards ČSN 01 3410 and ČSN 01 3411.
