Parallel application of national and Union competition law
Veselý, Jakub ; Šmejkal, Václav (advisor) ; Pítrová, Lenka (referee)
Parallel application of national and Union competition law The adoption of regulation No. 1/2003 opened a discussion on admissibility of parallel application of national and EU competition law regarding the ne bis in idem principle. The aim of the thesis is to map the condition of this legal topic after ten years since the process of modernisation of EU competition law on the basis of the analysis of judicial decisions and relevant legal acts including EU Charter of fundamental rights that became a part of EU primary law since Lisbon Treaty. Three different cases are to be understood under the term parallel application. The cumulative application means a case where national competition authority applies both national and EU law to punish anticompetitive behaviour in one single proceedings. The second case is the parallel application on the EU territory, where there are several proceedings held by competition authorities parallelly. These proceedings are held either concurrently or consequently. Lastly, the parallel application going beyond the EU territory is the case where an anticompetitive behaviour that has already been punished by a competition authority of a non-member state is subject of proceedings held by competition authority in EU. The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first...
Comparison of microscopic diagnostic methods
Veselý, Jakub ; Tihlaříková, Eva (referee) ; Čudek, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the description and comparison of diagnostic methods, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. The introduction is a description of diagnostic methods. The following experimental section dealing with the diagnosis of ferritic chromium steel sample methods of scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and the evaluation and interpretation of measured results. The conclusion provides a comparison, the advantages and disadvantages of diagnostic methods.

The heat dissipation efficiency of the steam generator Dukovany at low water levels
Veselý, Jakub ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to simulate the course of events during Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant blackout and to determine the optimal process of cooling down the cold branches of the primary circuit loops to secure the maximum amount of the primary fuel needed for the residual heat outlet so that the operating staff has as much time as possible for renewing the electric power supply. The first part of the thesis describes nuclear power plants built in the Czech Republic and in the world as well as reactor blocks whose construction is being considered. The detailed description of Dukovany’s steam generator is shared in chapter three. Following chapter summarizes blackouts that occurred at power plants around the world, events that might have led to blackouts in the Czech Republic, and it also describes current approach to blackout problematics at Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant. Chapters six and seven contain the core of the thesis. That includes detailed description of a mathematical model explaining the behaviour of a reactor block during blackout as well as the analysis of the results found.

Analyze of Open Source solutions for a small and middle size companies
Veselý, Jakub ; Veselý, Petr (referee) ; Dydowicz, Petr (advisor)
The object of this Bachelor‘s thesis is to describe the current software situation among small and medium companies and to demonstrate the possibilities of Open Source applications compared to closed source software. The possibilities of Open Software are clarified in terms of testing and studies. Case tudies show the potential of OSS/FS implementation in real environment. This work discovers the main benefits and disadvantages of Open Software and the reasons for their hitherto small usage.

Possibilities of increasing electric supply from Nuclear power plant Dukovany
Veselý, Jakub ; Petz, Petr (referee) ; Raček, Jiří (advisor)
Subject of the thesis is to describe the ongoing possibilities to increase the electric supply from the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant and monitoring the selection of the new ultimate heat sink of important technical water system in Dukovany Power Plant. In the first part of the thesis there is a short overview of nuclear power plants in the Czech Republic and around the world. In the following chapters there is a description of a project dealing with increasing the electric supply from the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant – project Safety 16 Terra EDU [16] and its parts – subproject Utilization of project reserves [19] and subproject with the goal to reduce the shutdowns. In the last part there is a monitoring the selection of a new ultimate heat sink – tower fan – in case of loss current cooling towers due to an extreme wind.
