Effect of brain regions coordinates selection on dynamic causal modelling results

Master’s thesis is aimed at familiarization with the principles of measurement and data processing functional magnetic resonance, focusing on the analysis of effective connectivity using dynamic causal modelling (DCM). The practical part includes three main thematic areas relating to the description of the processing and evaluation of measured or simulated data. First, there is on sample dataset described the neuroscientific SPM toolbox to analyze measured data. Then follows introduction of the proposed approach with which is investigated the behavior of the model estimation neural interactions with respect to the change of input parameters. This phenomenon is also simulated and on base of achieved results is recommended optimal approach to analyzing effective connectivity using dynamic causal modeling for the group of subjects. The last circuit in the practical part is assessment of shift the coordinates of brain areas on dynamic causal modelling results for the group of subjects from the data obtained from real measurements. Obtained results from simulated data and the results obtained from measured data are evaluated and discussed in the final part.

Measurements of permeability of dialysis membranes

Familiarization with dialysis theoretical principles and determination of dialysis membrane permeability with the help of experimentally assembled apparatus is the aim of this bachelor thesis. The introduction part deals with basic knowledge concerning treatment with dialysis and its current quality. There continues a chapter stating an overview of dialysis membranes different types and main characteristics of individual materials, which the membranes were made of and which they are produced now. Theoretical preparation for the practical part of the thesis clarifies the basic notions, principals and processes connected with the mass transfer through dialysis membranes and dialysis. Further on, theoretical process is described and phrased how to determine dialysis membranes permeability in a laboratory scale in an experimental way. Two possible configurations of experimental apparatus are illustrated with block schemes working either in a non-stationary or a stationary regime of measurement. The basis to determine membrane permeability is sampling in specified time intervals from blood and dialyze side and spectrophotometric detection of samples concentration. The practical part itself is preceded with the process with collected samples analysis. Then, it is followed with relations derivation for mass transfer coefficient calculation. Concentration progress on blood and dialyze side with non-stationary way of measurement is modelled in Simulink programme. The practical part of the thesis uses the mentioned above theoretical knowledge and assumptions and it realises concrete measurements in non-stationary regime. Evaluating part of the thesis documents the obtained results and assesses them with the help of derived equations. The whole process of measurement including obtained results is evaluated and discussed in the final part.

Comparison of the Programmes of the Green Party in the Federal Republic of Germany, Austria and the Czech republic in the years 1990 - 2014

This thesis compares the electoral programmes of green political parties in the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Austria, and the Czech Republic in the years 1990- 2014, namely the German party Alliance '90/The Greens, the Austrian party The Greens - The Green Alternative, and the Czech Green Party. The beginning of the work provides an explanation of the concepts related to green politics, such as ecology, environmentalism, environment and sustainable development, whose knowledge is essential for understanding the major themes of the electoral programmes. Subsequently, the origin and history of all three political parties are outlined. The actual comparison is performed in a twofold manner. The first one compares the content of a specific programme with the previous ones and the second one compares the programmes of all three green parties for the same or the close electoral period. Furthermore, the format of individual programmes is characterized. Attention is focused on the major thematic areas, similarities and differences, and on the position of these parties before and after a particular parliamentary election being held.

Number sense among children in first grade of elementary school

The whole thesis has been the view on the level of the understanding to the number among children at first grade of the elementary school. The beginning part focuses on the general summary of the points related to the main subject. This means the developing of cognitive functions at the time when children start attending school, summary of the technical terms connected with mathematical abilities and describing the development of the mathematical abilities at the first grade. The research applies to the topics in the field of mathematical abilities, which are relatively new in the Czech Republic. I tried to describe the number sense among children at the first grade, their strategies during solving the tasks and also to describe the measure of their math anxiety. Another outcome is finding out the dependence of results of the powers of intellect test, number knowledge test and the math anxiety measure. My research was realized under the patronage of the research realized at the Australian University, Sydney. The conclusion of the thesis focuses on the suggestions how to support the children's mathematical abilities development before they start attending school. Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage - Global Strategy for Representative, Balanced and Credible World Heritage List

Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage - (Global Strategy for Representative, Balanced and Credible World Heritage List This work will follow 18 years of implementation of Global Strategy for Representative, Balanced and Credible World Heritage List, which should ensure diversity of monuments inscribed to the World Heritage List. Twenty-two years after the signing of Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, ICOMOS organization pointed to over-representation of cultural properties and underrepresentation of natural and mixed sites as well as over-representation of properties in developed regions and underrepresentation of those in developing world. Main aim of Global Strategy is to balance these cases and also work on credibility and representation of the World Heritage Convention. Outcome of this work will be an evaluation of application of Global Strategy, its shift during 18 years of its existence and an evaluation of effectiveness and usefulness of it. Social Rehabilitation of Persons with Mental Disorders in Psychiatric Hospital

Abstract The topic of bachelor thesis is focused on social rehabilitation in psychiatric hospital for patients with mental disorder. The main goal of the thesis is to find out how social rehabilitation is provided on psychiatric patients. The partial goal is to analyze social rehabilitation limits and options in context of complex care. Research is carried out in Psychiatric Hospital Bohnice and its implementation started in June 2016 and was finished in June 2017. The theoretical part is focused on description of theoretical information about development, course of methods and about forms of social rehabilitation. The practical part consists of process of social rehabilitation in practice. Five women and five men were selected for research, age 30 60 years with different psychotic disorder. The respondents were selected by a purposeful quota selection and qualitative research was selected for practical part. I used case study approach which uses the anamnesis interview, observation, questioning, individual interview and content analysis. The results of the research were processed in ten case studies which contain anamnesis, individual plans and charts of social skills. Then, the individual plans and social skills were final evaluated and patients were evaluated by cognitive assessment. I made diagrams which show the process of social rehabilitation and interventions with patients. I also design a proposal of social rehabilitation after discharge. There is also SWOT analysis to determine the partial goal of the thesis. Research has shown that social rehabilitation in Psychiatric Hospital Bohnice takes place in a comprehensive way based on cooperation of multidisciplinary team and patients are integrated into many therapeutic activities, which are linked. The research also has shown that possibilities of social rehabilitation are great offer of complex therapeutic activites, uniformity, and cohesion of health workers in relation to patients and effort of PNB to make psychiatric care better. Limits of social rehabilitation are: non-cooperating patients, unbalanced medical staff, disparity of information, little financial resources to activities of social rehabilitation in psychiatry. The results of the research can be used for another improvement and expanding of activities of social rehabilitation in psychiatric hospital.

The treatment modification of progressive kretoconus using the corneal collagen cross-linking with riboflavin and UVA irradiation

SOUHRN Modifikace léčby progredujícího keratokonu zesíťováním kolagenu rohovky pomocí riboflavinu a UVA záření. Úvod: Cílem mé práce je porovnání modifikace léčby progredujícího keratokonu zesíťováním kolagenu rohovky pomocí riboflavinu a UVA záření. Metodika: Soubor retrospektivní studie zahrnuje celkem 35 očí 28 pacientů, kteří podstoupili na našem pracovišti corneal cross-linking. Soubor tvoří dvě skupiny. Skupina A zahrnuje 15 očí s abrazí epitelu rohovky v dolní polovině velikosti 8 mm. Skupina B zahrnuje 20 očí s plošním odstraněním epitelu rohovky kruhovitého tvaru velikosti 8-9 mm. Postup při provedení zesíťování rohovky byl v obou skupinách stejný. Sledovací doba skupiny A i skupiny B je jeden rok po provedení CXL. Výsledky: Pro vyhodnocení výsledků zákroku se sledovaly, porovnávaly a vyhodnotily následující parametry: rychlost hojení rohovkového epitelu, intezita vnímání bolesti po odstranění epitelu, přítomnost Vogtových strií, korneální zkalení (haze) a jeho perzistence, počet endotelových buněk (ECC), nekorigovaná zraková ostrost (UCVA), nejlépe korigovaná zraková ostrost (BCVA), objektivní sférická a cylindrická refrakce, osa astigmatismu. Na Pentacamu se sledovaly: keratometrie v plochém a strmém meridiánu (K1, K2) a změny v nejstrmějším místě rohovky (Kmax), elevace přední (EF) a zadní...
