The monument procedure in a structured form records data obtained through research from the area of interest of the NAKI II project "Landscape memory of the Moravian and Silesian Sudetes in danger" (DG20P02OVV008). The monument procedure is categorized on the basis of the analysis of negative impacts in the care of movable and immovable archaeological heritage in the landscape of the Czech Republic, which are disturbed by logging.

The role of insect adipokinetic hormones in oxidative stress
VEČEŘA, Josef
In this work, the role of adipokinetic hormones (AKHs) in specific pathological conditions known as oxidative stress (OS) was evaluated in insects. A previous suggestion that the AKHs reverse the OS status elicited by the herbicide paraquat was confirmed using other OS elicitor insecticides malathion and endosulfan in the classical model species the firebug Pyrrhocoris apterus. Nevertheless, the main part of this work is focused on another insect model a herbivore Spodoptera littoralis (Lepidoptera), where the OS was elicited by tannic acid and where the impact of both OS and AKH treatment was evaluated in larval midgut tissue. Several markers of OS including activities of antioxidant enzymes, their gene expression, protein carbonyls and reduced glutathione level were measured. The results confirm the active role of AKH in activation of antioxidative defence reactions and suggest a pathway partially through which the antioxidant effects of AKHs could be realized.
Endocrine regulation of oxidative stress in the red firebug \kur{Pyrrhocoris apterus}
VEČEŘA, Josef
A potential antioxidant effect of two insect hormones, Pyrap-AKH and 20- hydroxyecdysone, in the red firebug Pyrrhocoris apterus under conditions of oxidative stress was examined. Oxidative stress was induced by injection of herbicide Paraquat into the insect body. To verify that oxidative stress was developed sufficiently in the insects, thiobarbituric acid reactive substances, mainly malondialdehyde (TBARS) and protein carbonyls as principal biomarkers of oxidative stress were analyzed in CNS and hemolymph. A positive antioxidant effect of the two hormones was demonstrated by measuring content of GSH in brain and hemolymph, activity of {$\gamma$}-GTP in brain, and the total antioxidant activity in hemolymph.
