Educational aktivity of libraries and museums in Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis deals with pedagogical and educational possibilities of libraries and museums in the Czech Republic. It focuses not only on their current tendencies, but also on new trends and visions. It examines the cooperation of schools and its teachers with these cultural institutions. It also focuses on the development of child literacy and the issue of school libraries. The practical part of the thesis is divided into two parts. The first one describes and evaluates the Bata Institute 14|15 as a center of book, museum and gallery culture. Special attention is paid to the education and training provided of these institutions, including accompanying programs. The second part reports on the preparation, creation and opening of the ARS BELLUM exhibition: War art.

Functional role of cytoplasmic domains in the gating of TRPA1 channel

The transient receptor potential ankyrin 1 (TRPA1) ion channel is expressed in a subset of primary afferent neurones where it is activated by a variety of pungent and chemically reactive compounds such as allyl isothiocyanate or cinnamaldehyde. This voltage- dependent channel is activated through covalent modification of cytoplasmic cysteines and, from the cytoplasmic side, is also critically regulated by calcium ions. Both, amino (N-) and carboxyl (C-) termini have been shown to be involved in these processes. Using electrophysiological and molecular-biology techniques, we explored the role of specific cytoplasmic domains in the activation of TRPA1. By measuring chemically-, voltage-, and calcium-activated membrane TRPA1-mediated currents, we identified highly conserved serine and threonine residues along the N-terminal ankyrin repeat domain, mutation of which strongly affected responses of the channel. In addition, using C-terminally truncated construct previously reported to be involved in calcium regulation, we present a new finding that the distal C-terminal tail contributes to voltage-dependent activation of TRPA1.

Project of small hydroelectric power station

Bachelor's thesis on „Project small hydroelektric power station“ which submitted the proposal is focused on hydroelectric power in the selected location. Home is focused on a general treatise on the sources from which it is possible to get electricity, while the plants and their uses, especially water. The following chapters are characterized by locality selected for the implementation of the project construction and SHP to two aspects. First, in terms of its location in the landscape and secondly in terms of technical parameters. Furthermore, in this part of the proposal dealing alone power plants, for which two options are proposed. Option A, where the operation SHP considered two sets and variant B with the proposal of one generator. In their own chapter of Electrical SHP is giving elektrotechnic power arrangement, including how performance will be out of power in the network. The final part of the work concerns the evaluation of the economic project, the design of construction SHP.

Use of Leisure Time by the Residents of Retirement Homes

The main topic of this thesis deals with the use of leisure time by the residents of retirement homes owing to the influence of different activities together with their impact on mental and physical conditions of seniors. The aim of this study is to find out how seniors fill their leisure time, what possibilities of leisure time activities are used by them in the particular retirement homes and whether they realise the positive influence of such activities on their health. The theoretical part describes the stage of old age and ageing with all changes related to this period, as well as social care services provided to seniors and their adaptation to institutional establishments. The conclusion chapter of this part summarises leisure time and its characteristics together with possibilities how to spend it efficiently. The practical part of my work consists of the results carried out by a standardized interview, a method, used in order to find out how seniors spend their leisure time, whether the differences between the sexes regarding spending leisure time are significant and whether they realise the influence of active leisure time on their mental and physical conditions.

Incentive tourism within framework of youth segment

The presented master thesis focuses on incentive tourism. The thesis presents general definition and theoretical base for incentive tourism, and subsequently the issue is applied to the selected segment {--} the youth. Dealing with the youth segment, the thesis focuses mainly on a specific area of incentive tourism, motivational tourism. The main input factors of motivational process are described for a particular group of motivational tourism products. The research in the field of motivational tourism carried out in the thesis is fully located in Czech environment. Planning and implementation of particular product {--} entering adaptation course {--} is one of the components of the presented master thesis. The theoretical findings are supported by two field studies: evaluation of both quantitative and qualitative research and elaboration of case studies for the specific products.
