QRS detection using zero crossing counting
Hanus, Rostislav ; Smital, Lukáš (referee) ; Vítek, Martin (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the detection of QRS complex detection using zero crossing counts. QRS detection is an important part of the analysis of ECG signal. From the point of determining the R wave detection is based on the other waves and intervals necessary for the diagnosis of heart. This method is very effective even for very noisy signals. Implementation of the method in Matlab, and the success of detection is tested on the CSE and MIT-BIH database. The optimization algorithm is an optional value for the detector.
Biometric fingerprint liveness detection
Váňa, Tomáš ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
This master‘s thesis deals with biometric fingerprint liveness detection. The theoretical part of the work describes fingerprint recognition biometric systems, fingerprint liveness detection issues and methods for fingerprint liveness detection. The practical part of the work describes proposed set of discriminant features and preprocessing of fingerprint image. Proposed approach using neural network to detect a liveness. The algorithm is tested on LivDet database comprising real and fake images acquired with tree sensors. Classification performance approximately 93% was obtained.
Multilead decision rules in delineation of ECG signals
Richter, Zdeněk ; Smital, Lukáš (referee) ; Vítek, Martin (advisor)
This work deals with ECG signal measuring and methods of its processing. It compares some of the QRS detection methods and describes some of the testing databases. In this work a detector of QRS complex is realized, it is based on the approach of zero crossings. Next section makes combination of results from separate leads to one, which improves efficiency of detection. One section of this work deals with design and realization delination of ECG signal. In the last part outputs of this delineation are compared with the results of the other authors.
Delineation of ECG signals using leads transformation
Ondroušek, Lukáš ; Ronzhina, Marina (referee) ; Vítek, Martin (advisor)
The goal of this work is to study the principles of delineation of ECG signals, wavelet transformation and transformation approaches to increase the number of available leads. Consequently, the knowledge was used to create delineation algorithm in Matlab. The algorithm was tested on complete CSE database. The obtained results were compared with the criteria which are set for the CSE database. In this work were realized six transformation approaches to increase the number of available leads. All of them were analyzed by delineation algorithm. In the work was examined, whether the transformation increase the efficiency of detection.
Analysis of T wave alternations in programming language C - Radek Poul
Poul, Radek ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Rychtárik, Milan (advisor)
The thesis deals with detection of T-wave alternans. The presence of T-wave in surface ECG is recognized as a marker of electrical instability of heart in stage his repolarization, arise increased risk of emergence ventricular fibrillation and sudden cardiac death. The goal of our project is familiarize with methods of detection T-wave alternans. In particular spectral method and spectral method which was realized in variant for running reading values in time (“sliding window”). To suggest a QRS complex detector, localize the T-wave and to make TWA detection using spectral method and modified spectral method. This project is to be made in C language in appropriate user interface.
Wavelet Filtering of ECG Signal
Slezák, Pavel ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
The thesis deals with possibilities of using wavelet transform in applications dealing with noise reduction, primarily in the field of ECG signals denoising. We assess the impact of the various filtration parameters setting as the thresholding wavelet coefficients method, thresholds level setting and the selection of decomposition and reconstruction filter banks.. Our results are compared with the results of linear filtering. The results of wavelet Wieners filtration with pilot estimation are described below. Mainly, we tested a combination of decomposition and reconstruction filter banks. All the filtration methods described here are tested on real ECG records with additive myopotential noise character and are implemented in the Matlab environment.
Analysis of long-term electrocardiograms
Vojtíšek, Jiří ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
This work deals with long-therm analysis of electrocardiogram using heart rate variability representation. Project explains heart anatomy and electrophysiology, creation and shape of ECG curve. Heart rate variability is described by power spectral density, which we obtain from created algorithm. This algorithm was used in graphic user interface application Spider Pig Analysis, which analyze long-term ECG focused on showing Power Spectral Density graph. Practicality of this program was verified in experiment. In the experiment HRV at rest and HRV at tilt were compared.

Pedometer and fall detection
Vraňáková, Sofia ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Němcová, Andrea (advisor)
This work is focused on the issue of human activity sensing using inertial sensors built into intelligent devices and followed by detection of walk, detection of steps and fall from the accelerometer-scanned signal in the smartphone. The walk detection is performed by using signal envelope, a first signal difference and a standard deviation of the signal. The step detection is implemented by using the method of searching local maximum values and the customized filtering method. Fall detection is realized by using the method of searching maximum and minimum values and using the appropriate threshold values.
Detection of QRS complex in experimental ECG data
Bucsuházy, Kateřina ; Ronzhina, Marina (referee) ; Vítek, Martin (advisor)
This Bachelor work deals with QRS complex detection. The theoretical part of the presented work is focused on summary of selected methods of QRS complex detection. There is described in detail wavelet transform, which is used for realization of QRS complex detector in Matlab. Specifically is used redundant dyadic discrete wavelet transform and biorthogonal wavelet with odd symmetry bior1.5. The algorithm was evaluated on the standard CSE database. The detector was modified to be able to detect QRS complexes in experimental data.
