The changes of ski infrastructure and its use in the Krušné hory in the last decade

The theme of my thesis is focused on downhill skiing which together with cross country skiing is the most important activity of winter tourist season. The downhill skiing has got a long tradition in the Czech Republic and there are a large number of ski resorts. One of the most important regions of downhill skiing in the Czech Republic is Krušné Hory. The development of tourism in the Krušné hory is very specific compared to other Czech mountains. After 1948, some parts of the territory inaccessible, as it was a border zone and in the following years they were destroyed by coal mining. The thesis analyzes the changes that were caused over many years in the Krušné Hory. This thesis is focused on the last ten years. The second part of the questionnaire survey shows the potential of the Krušné hory which is used by the schools in Ústí nad Labem. The main aim of the questionnaire was to find out where the schools from Ústí nad Labem organize their ski courses and what are the main priorities for the selection of the locality.

Modern instruments in the tourism potential utilization in the administrative regions of Czechia

This diploma thesis deals with the management of tourism development and destination marketing with a focus on the latest trends in the tourism market and their adoption by the destination management organizations (DMOs) in the regions of Czechia. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part general preconditions for successful development of incoming tourism are described and the possible use of specific electronic tools for destination marketing at the international level is outlined. The empirical part is dedicated to the critical evaluation of geographic definition of tourist regions in Czechia and geographic nomenclature in English. Tourist web portals in the Czech regions were analyzed in comparison with portals of selected regions abroad. Attention is also paid to the use of social media in destination marketing. Finally, it outlines suggestions for improving the current situation of digital destination marketing in Czech regions. Beer tourism in the Liberec Region

The dissertation is one of a number of contributions to the research of a rather new form of tourism - beer tourism, or gastronomy tourism in a broader context. In the first part of the dissertation, the topic is grasped theoretically. Firstly, beer tourism is defined as one of the alternative forms of spending leisure time, and it is classified within tourism typology, alongside the better-known wine tourism. Tourists currently prefer the alternative forms, with an emphasis on, besides other things, tradition, authenticity and experience, which make up the values typical for participating in beer tourism. In spite of this form being at the start of its expansion in the Czech Republic, in the last few years, its dynamic has been immense, which is documented by plain statistics. In the past 3 years, almost half of the current 340 Czech breweries have been established. Further in the text, the product of beer tourism is defined and its typology is created, by which the supply side of tourism on the level of the Czech Republic as well as the Liberec region is later analysed. Internationalization of second home tourism. Mallorca case study

This paper illustrates recent processes of internationalization of second home tourism based on detailed research of the Spanish insular destination Mallorca as a case study. German second home owners are especially emphasised within the paper as they predominate on the island in terms of international ownership (as well the anual amount of tourist arrivals). The paper includes discussion on teoretical aspects of second home tourism with focus on latest trends such as international ownership of second homes and retirement migration. Empirical part describes second home tourism on Mallorca within the context of its historical development, spacial organization and using patterns. The key part of the research is questionnaire survey which has been conducted in order to find resident's perception of German second home owners in municipalities Andratx and Deiá.

Political-Military Risks for Tourism in the Middle East

Political-Military Risks for Tourism in the Middle East Abstract The master's thesis analyses the perception of political-military risks for incoming tourism in the Middle East from the perspective of Czech potential tourists. The examined area of the Middle East bears some geographic and geopolitical ideas, that are still absent in the Czech scientific milieu. Tourism in the Middle East also operates in the environment of political-military risks. Scholarly literature suggests that these risks represent one of the main factors influencing the choice of destination. The paper deepens understanding of this relationship by focusing on the perception of political-military risks in space, in terms of their typological diversity, and analyses determinants of this perception. The main research tool, a questionnaire, served to collect data that was analysed through descriptive statistics and statistical inference, as a paired t-test, analysis of variance (ANOVA) and correlation analysis. The findings are mostly in consensus with theoretical knowledge and previous studies. Individual types of political- military risks showed different impact on the perception for realization of tourism. Impacts of cultural events as a specific form of tourism (Case study: music festivals in Czechia)

The main objective of the thesis is to evaluate the impact of mass-attended cultural events in the localities where they are organized. As a best practice case studies were selected music festivals in the Czech Republic. Music festivals of its significant implications far wider than the premises, which are organized and directly interfere with the normal life of communities in whose territories are located. The theoretical part focuses on describing the basic concepts work mainly through the literature. Explained in it, among other things linking tourism, culture and related sustainable capacity of the area, as well as the specifics of music festivals in the Czech Republic and at the end of the economic, socio-cultural and environmental impacts of cultural events in the wider area surrounding the area in which they are organized. The last part of the theoretical framing is a key issue for the practical part. In it are carried out with the help of surveys among visitors and residents cultural events mapped the effects of socio-cultural and environmental impacts. The economic effects were mainly focused survey conducted between business entities operating in specific affected communities. Conclusion evaluates the results achieved by the underlying surveys and compares them with pre-defined objectives.

Wine tourism in the Bohemia region

This diploma thesis deals with a relatively new branch of tourism - wine tourism. It is a gentle form of tourism which is being developed as a follow-up to the trend of sustainability. Wine tourism is discussed in the analysis of literature. In connection with foreign experience it is being studied whether this form of tourism is really as gentle as proclaimed. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the wine tourism in the Czech Republic, with an emphasis on the wine region of Bohemia. Illustrated with examples of the towns of Mělník, Litoměřice and Most, the present state of this branch and its development potential are evaluated. The emphasis is on the products of the wine tourism which are suitable for these cities (wine harvest, wine-growing events and festivals, shows and competitions, etc.). Finally, the work mentions the increasing demand and need for coordinated management of the region (Destination Management).
