On search complexity of discrete logarithm
Václavek, Jan ; Hubáček, Pavel (advisor) ; Koucký, Michal (referee)
In this thesis, we study the discrete logarithm problem in the context of TFNP - the complexity class of search problems with a syntactically guaranteed existence of a solution for all instances. Our main results show that suitable variants of the discrete logarithm problem, which we call Index and DLog, are complete for the classes PPP and PWPP, respectively. Additionally, our reductions provide new structural insights into PWPP by establishing two new PWPP-complete problems. First, the problem Dove, a relaxation of the PPP-complete problem Pigeon. Dove is the first PWPP-complete problem not defined in terms of an explicitly shrinking function. Second, the problem Claw, a total search problem capturing the computational complexity of breaking claw-free permuta- tions. In the context of TFNP, the PWPP-completeness of Claw matches the known intrinsic relationship between collision-resistant hash functions and claw-free permuta- tions established in the cryptographic literature. 1
Technology design for screw connection for extreme loads
Václavek, Jan ; Trčka, Tomáš (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
Screw connections are a commonly used method of joining two or more components that are loaded with different types of loads during their operation. Screw connections are in some cases extremely stressed. The topic of the bachelor thesis is the introduction of potential types of extreme load on a screw connection and acquaintance with a specific case of an extremely stressed screw connection. A design of the production process is created for the discussed case and the manufactured components are evaluated in terms of assembly and service life.
Identification and assessment of errors in the production process
Václavek, Jan ; Rozehnalová, Jana (referee) ; Kotek, Luboš (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis concerns about identification and assessment of errors in the production process. The thesis is focused on methods of human factor reliability analysis. In the first part of the thesis is a general description of human factor and human factor reliability. In the second part of it the process of assessment of human factor reliability is designed including general description of used analytical techniques. Third part of the thesis contains general description of selected process, process data analysis and outputs of processed analytical techniques. In the last part of thesis are described suggestions of corrective measures with recommendations for the further development of this topic.
LWE and provably secure key exchange schemes
Václavek, Jan ; Příhoda, Pavel (advisor) ; Žemlička, Jan (referee)
The threat of large-scale quantum computers motivates cryptographers to base cryptosystems on problems believed to be resistant against quantum computers. In this thesis, we focus on the LWE problem which is believed to be resistant against quantum computers. First, we describe lattices which are closely related to the LWE problem. We introduce basic notions, describe lattice problems and solve exercises related to the covering radius of lattice. After that, we introduce the LWE problem and its variants. We prove reductions from two lattice problems to certain variant of the LWE problem. We define the notion of statistical distance and prove some lemmata about it which we need within reductions. Moreover, we show concrete application of the LWE problem. We describe a scheme for key exchange and briefly prove its security under the assumption that the LWE problem is hard. 1
Fire safety as part of a management system
Václavek, Jan ; Mukhametzianova, Leisan (referee) ; Kotek, Luboš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis concerns about fire protection and it's integration to the management system of industrial company. In the first part of it are said terms and legislative requirements connected with fire protection for industrial companies. The second part contains designed system for integration fire protection requirements to the management system of industrial company. In the third part of this thesis is processed the fire protection analysis of industrial company. Last part contains recommendations for the further development of fire protection.
