The focal issue of this thesis is the area of educational space - the spatial disposition of schools. The paper deals with the topic in a broadest way possible and uses the term "classroom architecture" as a general description of all related issues and phenomenons. The paper is divided into two parts: a theoretical one and a practical one. The first chapter of the theoretical part describes the basic terminology, specifies the boundaries of related fields of study and introduces the history of education technology as a discipline of research. The second chapter is concerned with ergonomics in terms of education, educational instruments, organization of educational space and, based on these topics, analyses the relation between alternative education and the concepts of organizing the educational space. The third chapter observes the relation between the classroom climate and the classroom enviroment as related to progressive psychology of pupil's personality. Finally, the last chapter examines the essence and purpose of the action plan "School for 21st century" for equipping educational space with didactic technology. Thesis "Maria Montessori and her teaching method" deals with main principles of the educational system proposed by Maria Montessori, Italian doctor and teacher. Thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretic part aims at fundamental ideas of Maria Montessori's pedagogical conception with the special emphasis on the teacher's role in this method. The practical part focuses on a comparison of a teacher's role in M. Montessori's method and teacher's role in traditional school system.
Højskole and their specifics in the Danish educational system

This Thesis provides a short analysis of theory, history, and practice of the so-called folkehjskole (folk high schools) that represents a Danish contribution to pedagogy with worldwide importance. Those schools resulted from the social and cultural climate in Denmark as well as from the intellectual creativity of the churchman, philosopher, historian, member of parliament, and bard N.F.S. Grundtvig as well as of the pedagogue and organizer Ch. Kold. The first one was founded in 1844 in Rdding, North Schleswig. The political situation after the war between Prussia and Denmark and the need to improve the education and competence of rural youth to develop their farms provided an impetus for those schools as well. Those free schools were run on new principles, independently from the state school system, and influenced very positively the development and democratization of Danish society. After some time elapsed, similar schools were founded in the whole Scandinavia, to lesser extent in other European countries, in some Scandinavian and other communities in the USA, during the recent years in some developing countries. Thesis Subject conception of Ethical Education/ Religious Education in Norway and in Czech Republic deals with diverse approaches towards Religious and Ethical Education in Norway and in Czech Republic. Christianity and ethics, which both steam from the Christian thinking, are undoubtedly an important source of European tradition and have been occupaing the distinctive role in education. This thesis is trying to conceive the changing of the position of Religious as well as Ethical Education in schooling upbringing and in society. The goal of this thesis is to cover the various subjects' conception, approaches and also trying to entitle the targets in connection with reality. At the close there will be given the description and clarification of different approaches and correspondences towards Ethical and Religious Education in the cooperation with the content analyses of subjects' conceptions, cultural contexts and various approaches.

The diploma thesis "Feedback techniques in experiential education" disserts upon use of review in experiential education. Feedback techniques in the field of experiential education can be applied both in school environment and out of school. The thesis is divided into three chapters: Experiential education, Review and Feedback techniques. The concept of this thesis stems from experiential education. An active and lively approach is characteristic for this branch of pedagogy. The concept of experiential education is put into practice through experiential learning. One of the integral components of experiential education is review. This process enables to transform one's experiences into personal experience. Dealing with review is an educative process which fulfils pedagogical goals. This diploma thesis allows applying different samples of feedback techniques in groups consisting not only of children or adolescents, but also of adults.
Bilingual schools and European projects

The theme of this dissertation thesis is the relation of bilingual education and educational projects aimed at European issues. The research part was conducted at bilingual upper secondary schools in the Czech Republic, Germany and Great Britain (Wales). In the thesis the themes such as European politics, intercultural dialogue, international peace, human rights, humanitarian aid and language education are primarily included into European issues. The empirical research was deliberately realized at bilingual schools, where the instruction is delivered throught the medium of two languages. With regard to this fact a frequent participation at educational projects with European focus (European projects) was anticipated at these schools. European projects are often interconnected with the laguage studies. In recent years education projects have been an important part of the curriculum in Czech, German and British environment and they play a vital role in education context. The projects enrich the bilingual instruction from both methodical and content perspective and enable launching cooperation between schools and other partner institutions.
