Circuit Parameters Measurement by S parameters - Laboratory Experiment
Karniš, David ; Láčík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
Bachelor thesis describes a method of measuring impedance suitable for determining the properties of RF and microwave circuits. The main objective is to get acquainted with S parameters, method of measuring them with vector analysis and with equivalent circuits of passive elements. Further is discussed the issue of calibration and its parts. The following section describes the product design process, concluded by verification of measuring method and design.
Radio-frequency mixer
Kolář, Jan ; Urbanec, Tomáš (referee) ; Dřínovský, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is aimed to describe main parameters of mixers and principle of their measurement. There are presented devices and methods by whitch mixers can be measured. There are mentioned typical values of these parameters. The realisations of mixers are also described in this bachelor's thesis. The realisation is focussed on particular parts and circuit design. The part of this thesis is aimed to construct a working mixer and to measure its parameters. Also there is mentioned a design of laboratory exercise and an automated measurement setup done in Agilent VEE.
Coaxial probes for permittivity measurement of materials
Hub, Michal ; Urbanec, Tomáš (referee) ; Láčík, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the measuring complex permittivity of dielectrics using a coaxial probe with an open end in the frequency range of 300 MHz to 3 GHz. It is non-invasive measurement method can be widely used during the research of dielectrics. There are describe various approaches to coaxial probe design with respect to the expected size of complex permitivity in this work. Based on the studies available materials was proposed several probes with a focus on the method of measuring the low-loss dielectrics with help reflective plate. The probes were simulated to measure the reflectance in Design CST MICROWAVE STUDIO. Thereof can calculate the value of complex permittivity. This document lists only those probes that show good results and are prerequisite for the realization of practical measurement.
Computer design of primary surveillance radar siting on airport
Krajíček, Antonín ; Urbanec, Tomáš (referee) ; Láčík, Jaroslav (advisor)
This semestral thesis deals with the application of the principles of site selection for surveillance radar designed for air traffic control in MATLAB. The thesis describes processing of maps and implementation of waypoints for air traffic control support. Another objective is to create a script for the calculation of the radar range by using the Radar Equation. The thesis concludes with addressing the issue of radio wave propagation over irregular terrain using the Split-step parabolic Equation.
LNA for the APT signals receiver
Žúrek, Dan ; Urbanec, Tomáš (referee) ; Baran, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is dealing with design, realization and optimization of the LNA (Lownoise amplifier) for receiving of APT signals from the NOAA weather satellites in 137 MHz – 138 MHz frequency band. The first part of this work is aimed on critical parameters of the amplifier and the filter circuits especially on a noise figure and a high selectivity. The next part of this project is about the particular concept and simulation of LNA by using the Ansoft Designer software. The printed circuit board is realized in the Cadsoft Eagle. The final part of this bachelor thesis is dealing with a production of such amplifier together with its measurement and testing in a real operation of receiving APT signals.
Orientation Control of Satellite - Laboratory Experiment
Neužil, Ondřej ; Baran, Ondřej (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis is about the basics of satellite systems, about their sorting, usage and technologies. An important part is the description of the principles controlling and stabilization of the small experimental CubeSat type satellites. The main point is the proposition and construction of the laboratory model of the CubeSat type satellite that should simulate the chosen methods of controlling and stabilization in laboratory conditions. The thesis describes the construction of the electronic parts of the model, the controlling software of the satellite’s processor and user software for easy controlling by PC.
Controll Electronics for Effective Supplying of Equipment with Li-Ion Accu by Solar Cells
Horký, Luděk ; Dřínovský, Jiří (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
This Bachelor`s thesis deals with questions surrounding the collection and harnessing of solar radiation for use as electrical energy. The aim of this project was to build an effective system for charging Li-Ion batteries by means of solar cells. To this end, four different solar panels currently available were chosen for measuring and evaluation. The most suitable of these was chosen and an electronic control system devised for effectively supplying the Li-Ion batteries. It was necessarily to make solution for problems consequent upont this method of charging this type of battery and make practise realizitaion of this electrical scheme by SMT technology.
FM Transmitter of APRS Telemetry in 144 MHz Band
Bohátka, Jan ; Šádek, Václav (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
APRS system is described are sent toin my essay, which is used for sending and receiving text messages. The text messages frequenc 144 MHz by using the modulation scheme AFSK. APRS communicate by using the protocol AX 25, which sends and receives the text messages in the area where are carried despatches and control bits as well. The whole area of high frequency part is in one integrated circuit. The control, coding and decoding of the area is the microcontroller’s job.
Wideband 6GHz RF Signal Generator
Mička, Josef ; Kubíček, Michal (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is a design of a wideband high frequency generator with an adjustable output amplitude. The generator is based on a frequency synthesizer ADF4355. The power level of an output signal is adjustable by an attenuator HMC1119. The created generator is accesisible trough an user-friendly control panel or by SCPI commands. Frequency synthesis can run in an integer mode or a fractional mode. The output signal has a very low phase noise when it is running in the integer mode.
