Perioperative disorders of haemostasis
Havlůj, Lukáš ; Gürlich, Robert (advisor) ; Ulrych, Jan (referee) ; Procházka, Vladimír (referee)
Introduction: Hemostasis is a part of homeostasis. Its effectiveness is based on the functionality of systems that stop bleeding (primary hemostasis, primary and secondary processes of activation) and fibrinolysis. These processes potentiate and antagonize each other. If external endothelial function and integrity are compromised due to external stimuli, this balance is disturbed and thrombosis or bleeding occurs. Autoregulatory mechanisms are primarily able to normalize these pathophysiological conditions to some extent. However, if the supply of platelets or coagulation factors is depleted, there is a risk of bleeding. Excessive activation of the coagulation cascade with, for example, thrombocytosis can lead to generalized arterial or venous thrombosis. Goal: The main goal of this work is to confirm or refute the hypothesis that the combination of pancreatic mucosal malignancies with discontinuation of chronic antiplatelet therapy is associated with a high risk of thrombosis. Secondary goals were to investigate the effect of long-term antiplatelet therapy on long-term survival and incidence of postoperative complications after pancreatic resections performed for pancreatic malignancies. Methods: This is a retrospective analysis of a prospective registry of patients undergoing surgery for...
The Issues of Correct Implementation of ERP System for a Small Company
Conicov, Andrei ; Ulrych, Jan (advisor) ; Žemlička, Michal (referee)
The aim of this paper is to describe the architecture of an ERP system, clearly define the tasks it has to solve and as a result emphasize the differences between ERP for large and small size companies. It is important to understand that the requirements and possibilities of these two types of organizations are different and as a result the SW also has to be different. ERP systems are complex and in order to understand them, in some cases, I explain general concepts, which cover the pivot points of the ERP architecture. This papers' aim is not to describe the final architecture of an ERP system because it is a very complex software (SW) product. It just analyzes the clients' needs and the technical possibilities in order to be able to create an ERP system that will face the demands of small enterprises (SE); this is achieved by defining and describing points that should be taken in consideration. In some cases I am trying to offer possible solutions and tips to the encountered problems.
Czech sign language database
Ulrych, Jan ; Kopecký, Michal (advisor) ; Skopal, Tomáš (referee)
In this diploma thesis we present an algorithm for evaluating similarity of pairs of signs in Czech sign language. The proposed algorithm is based on the sign visual appearance and compares static positions of signing person. Geometric form of sign is obtained by the transformation from its written notation to animated 3D model already implemented in the ZNAK dictionary. The proposed algorithm has been implemented into ZNAK and can be used in two ways | for retrieval of visually similar signs for currently selected sign and for searching signs in dictionary according to partial information obtained from the user.
Relax NG Editor
Grafnetter, Michael ; Nečaský, Martin (advisor) ; Ulrych, Jan (referee)
This thesis aims to cover the area of Relax NG editors. The work offers not only an overview of available tools and their abilities, but also gives a comprehensive analysis of the Relax NG language and comparison to similar languages. As no such free advanced editor had been found, the work also focused on creating one. The program has been developed as an open-source plug-in for the Eclipse Platform for modularity reasons and therefore provides a basis for further extending its functionality by the community.
Impact of hereditary thrombophilia and acquired thrombophilia on incidence of postoperative venous thromboembolism.
Ulrych, Jan ; Kvasnička, Jan (advisor) ; Penka, Miroslav (referee) ; Lindner, Jaroslav (referee)
In Introduction, the author of this dissertation deals with postoperative venous thromboembolism (VTE), hereditary and acquired risk factors, prophylaxis regimens and recent recommendation of VTE prevention in surgery. In Practical part of this work the author assesses the risk of VTE in surgical patients according to risk assessment model. Genetic testing is carried out in all patients to determine the incidence of hereditary thrombophilia and coagulation markers are measured in 28-days postoperative period. Prevalence of VTE in 1-year postoperative period is observed. The results are analysed in group of patients with benign disease (hernia and gallstone disease) and group of patients with malignancy (colorectal cancer and pancreatic cancer) separately. The objective of this work is to determine the incidence of the most frequent thrombophilic mutations (factor V Leiden mutation and protrombin G20210A mutation) and assess the impact of hereditary thrombophilia on incidence of postoperative venous thromboembolism in general surgery. Validation of venous thrombosis risk assessment model recommended by Czech Society for Thrombosis and Hemostasis is further objective.

Title: Development and actually situation of combat systems in the Central Region. Objective: Describing of combats, history of trained combat systems (in the region of Kolín and Kutná Hora) in the Czech Republic, obtaining information about individual clubs and processing them. Methods: The information for this work were obteined by research in above mentioned districts. Results: The obteined information were mentioned in standardized questionnaires and the results were writing and graphically preesented. Key words: martial arts, cobat sports, clubs of combat sport.

XML Benchmarking
Vranec, Maroš ; Ulrych, Jan (referee) ; Holubová, Irena (advisor)
In the presented work we study possiblities and limitations of benchmaring XML management systems (XMLMSs). We start by an analysis of existing solutions, continue by proposal and implementation of our XMLMS benchmark generator and finish with an application of it on a selected group of XMLMSs. The proposed benchmark is unique because it generates both testing data sets and operations (instead of being just a single fixed set). The work includes experimental results that depict advantages and disadvateges of the solution.
Sign language dictionary editor
Halousková, Alena ; Ulrych, Jan (referee) ; Kopecký, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this work is to simplify sign editing in the ZNAK dictionary, which is a two-way dictionary between Czech language and Czech sign language. The original version of the dictionary only allows to define whole movement of an armwithout any possibility of retrograde changes. Contrary to the original version, new solution enables easy notation changes, inserting new parts of movement and appending parameters and modifiers to parts of the movement. New version of the program also allows exporting signs and words definitions and relations between them as well as importing these structures back to the dictionary.
