Analysis of machining finishing methods
Urban, Martin ; Chladil, Josef (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of finishing machining methods. The work describes the technologies of grinding, honing, lapping, polishing, tumbling and superfinishing. Furthermore, the residual surface tension after the superfinishing method is analyzed and two possible methods of its measurement are described. An experiment was also performed in which the finishing processes for the bearing spherical roller for axial spherical roller bearing 29434EJ-3, the bearing spherical roller for double row spherical roller bearing 23164CJ-3 and the inner bearing ring for double row spherical roller bearing 22224EKJ N7-2 were described. Six surface roughness measurements were then performed on the surfaces of these components. For the 23164CJ-3 barrel, the mean arithmetic deviation Ra of the profile ranged between 0.59 and 0.70 µm, for the 29434EJ-3 barrel, the Ra value ranged between 0.26 and 0.31 µm, and for the 22224EKJ N7-2 inner bearing ring, between 0.22 to 0.28 m.
Recognition of 3D objects with uniform surface reflectance
Žemlička, Jakub ; Urban, Martin (advisor) ; Svoboda, Tomáš (referee)
A new approach based on the edge examination has been developed for the detection of polygonal structures as an alternative to MSERs and Harris points. The recognition of objects with a uniform surface was the initial motivation. The detected polygonal structures can be used as supplementary features for the nonuniform object recognition as well. Finally, the method has been tested on the real application of the viewpoint invariant car license plate detection. The main contribution of our approach is the ability to detect polygons regardless to their size, number of vertices and orientation. The polynomial time complexity for low polygon degrees allows our method the real-time performance. Moreover, the searching algorithm can be modified to find more types of polygons at a time very easily.
The Czech insurance market in the condition of the centrally planned economy and the market economy : preparation of the Czech insurance market for the enlargement of the EU
Urban, Martin ; Půlpán, Karel (advisor) ; Sojka, Milan (referee)
In my master thesis I am trying to introduce the czech insurance market in the conditions of centrally planned economy (1948-1989). Then I am trying to describe the next development of it in the conditions of the market economy. At the end I am focusing on the preparation of the czech insurance market for enlargement of the European union, I am also describing the unnecessary changes of the legal form of the market. Experiments in Mechanics for Future Physics Teachers
Urban, Martin ; Dvořák, Leoš (advisor) ; Kácovský, Petr (referee)
The aim of the thesis was to select and verify experiments with simple aids for utilization in the Mechanics or Theoretical Mechanics lecture for future physics teachers. We deal with a selected area of experiments, which is body rolling. In particular, rolling balls at an inclined slat of an L-profile and in the groove between two rails, the distance of which being adjustable. For these cases, the acceleration of the balls is derived in several different ways, both by neglecting the rolling resistance and by including the rolling resistance. In the experiments, the movement of the balls was recorded on video and analysed using the Tracker program. The accelerations of the balls obtained from the processed measurements are compared with the theoretical results. It is shown that with small inclinations of the inclined plane (which is suitable for the demonstrations because the moment of the balls is more visible), it is necessary to take into account the effect of the rolling resistance.
The clinching technology
Urban, Martin ; Žák, Ladislav (referee) ; Peterková, Eva (advisor)
This bachelor thesis contains a description of clinching technology. Most common failures of a clinch joint, which is either a fracture at the neck of the joint or a slip of the top layer, are shown. Furthermore, this work deals with the comparison of clinching with spot welding, which lists the advantages and disadvantages of clinching technology compared to spot welding technology. A list of several clinching methods is given. Follows an overview of clinching machines and tools. And at the end are indicated some examples of the use of clinching in practice.
Artificial intelligence and liability for its actions
Urban, Martin ; Elischer, David (referee)
Thesis title: Artificial intelligence and liability for its actions The artificial intelligence has recently become a ubiquitous phenomenon with a potential to change the world as we know it. Therefore, this thesis is concerned with the topic of artificial intelligence, specifically with a connection to a civil-law liability for its actions. It is absolutely clear that there will be more and more events in the future where damage will occur due to actions of artificial intelligence. Thus, the primary goal of this thesis is the determination of the person liable for damage caused in such cases under Czech law. Further goals of this thesis are an analysis of the question how is the dawn of autonomous cars influencing the legal instrument of liability for the damage caused by the operation of a means of transport as well as an introduction and examination of a recent resolution of the European Parliament which is supposed to serve as a basis for a future legal framework addressing the artificial intelligence in the area of the European Union. First, the paper focuses on the definition of the term artificial intelligence from a technical and legal viewpoint. This analysis shows that the definition of this term is not a straightforward one from neither of these viewpoints which can have serious...
Senzorické hodnocení vybraných obilných nápojů
URBAN, Martin
The aim of this diploma thesis was a sensory and nutritional evaluation of vegetable drinks. The analysis focused on rice and oat drink. Part of the population has health problems with milk consumption. Some substitutes can be beverages from legumes, cereals, nuts, etc. Oat and rice drinks does not contain cholesterol, are a source of minerals and vitamins. Rice and oat drink does not contain lactose or milk proteins. The downside is the insufficient amount of protein and the fact that, unlike milk protein, the protein of cereals is poor, deficient. Rice drink does not contain gluten. The sensory analysis aimed to compare individual drinks and determine their differences between samples, to determine the intensity of certain properties and to rank the samples from best to worst. The sensory analysis confirmed the differences between manufacturers. In the case of rice beverages, the evaluators concluded that they perceived the difference between the product of Alpro and Alnatura, with the Alnatura drink being considered the most acceptable. The amount of fat in rice beverages was low (1-1.1 g fat per 100 ml). Drinks also contain little protein (0.1-0.3 g / 100 ml). Oat beverages differed in particular with Alnatura and Delhaize - Bio. The evaluators preferred Delhaize Drink Company - Bio the most. The nutritional composition of the fat-like products is similar to rice beverages (1-1.5 g fat per 100 ml). The amount of protein was slightly higher (0.6-1 g protein per 100 ml). From a nutritional point of view, there is a noticeable difference between cow's milk and oat and rice beverages. The rice and oat drinks that were preferred contained the most sugar and the brewing flavor was the least noticeable.
