Determinanty cen léků na předpis v České republice

This master thesis analyses factors that determine the prices of prescription medicine. The theoretical part is outlining the fundamentals of pharmaceutical market, identifying the main price components and determinants with main focus on pricing and reimbursement policies in the world. The empirical part is dedicated to the pharmaceutical market in the Czech Republic. It explores the impact of state regulatory measures such as internal and external reference pricing on the prescription medicine prices. A regression analysis was conducted to determine what factors have significant impact on the prices. Furthermore a t-test was performed to discover differences in price levels between regulated and unregulated drugs as well as between originator medicine and generics.

The main purpose of this thesis is to understand if Investors working in Private Equity and Venture Capital understand what corporate culture is and take it into account when deciding whether to invest or not in a startup or a target company. In order to reach this goal, an empirical research has been developed, interviewing a sample of private equity fund managers and professional business angels, selected randomly and without any personal connection to the author.

Implementation of the Smart Metering Systems in Energetics in Slovakia

The goal of the Master´s thesis is to map the actual situation of transformation of power energy sector to smart grid, find answers to some of the major questions concerning the implementation of smart metering systems, evaluate societal and economic costs and benefits, evaluate trends in legislation, compare the situation in Slovakia with other peer countries from the European Union, and create a follow-up recommendations for Slovakia based on this assessment. The thesis includes detailed critical analysis of the CBA, originally created for Slovakia, using benchmarking with countries with a different calculation approach. The used methodology in this work is a research of available resources, qualitative research of case studies, break-down of the CBA, and expert research through interviewing. The outcome is evaluation of economic and societal contributions of smart metering systems and mapping the process and state of the implementation.

The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to draw up a business plan for the establishment of a venture, more specifically a coffee bar in Prague. The subject of the paper is the description of the business and an estimate of the financial statements in order to test the viability of the project. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The former defines the terms of the issue and provides an outline of the general procedures and strategies for setting up a business. It describes the basic points and parts of a standard business plan. The latter is focused on a specific undertaking and defines the specific steps for establishing an individual business plan.

Transformation of Telco business strategy driven by over-the-top services such as WhatsApp, Skype and Netflix: The case of the Czech Republic

The following thesis aims to describe the transformation of telco operators' business strategy evoked by the growing popularity and usage of Internet services like WhatsApp, Skype and Netflix, also known as over-the-top services. The thesis provides comprehensive overview of transformations in the telecom industry that have been taking place globally, explaining the drivers that led to inception of free or cheaper Internet-based services, their business models. It then narrows down to the thorough analysis of the Czech market, capturing the implications that over-the-top services have on business strategy of the major Czech telco players. The analysis is strongly supported by industry reports, statistics and quantitative research. The primary research adds in telco customers' perspectives, usage and value perception of over-the-top services, as well as their satisfaction with respective telco services and their pricing. Derived findings identify major developments and trends in the Czech telco market; they also suggest compelling observations for related businesses.

The subject of the bachelor work is the company ZAO Alfa Motor Group. The aim is to conduct strategic analysis of economic activity, evaluation of the effectiveness of current policies and develop recommendations and proposals to change the company's development strategy. ZAO Alfa Motor Group - a network of specialized service centers and car sales of spare parts, specialized in cars of Toyota and Lexus. Bachelor work has two main parts. In the first part of the work to uncover the meaning of basic concepts related to the field of strategic analysis, reveals the essence and mechanisms of the main methods of strategic analysis. The second part describes the company and its business activities, describes its financial condition. Also, in the second part held in-depth strategic analysis of the company ZAO Alfa Motor Group using the tools described in the first part.

Planning and Valuation of Investment Project - MSW Incinerator in Banska Bystrica

The Master Thesis outlines planning and valuation of solid waste incinerator with energy recovery. The focus of due diligence, made before valuation, is on the assessment of the input data in regard to current and future market situation. The beginning of the thesis explains the valuation process with methods used later on. The two subsequent parts describe respectively current market situation and define data for valuation process made in Excel sheet attached. Before concluding the outcomes are compared with other possibilities with changes in financing structure.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to define basic methods, which are used for the preparation of a business strategy and to use those methods in a real situation. The theoretical part describes the methodology of external and internal analysis. The practical part then applies single methods such as PEST, VRIO, Porter`s five forces and value chain in order to define competitive advantages of Dr. Popov company. At the end of the Bachelor thesis will be assessment of the current situation and suggestion of the future growth of the company. The findings, resulting from the individual conclusions of my bachelor`s thesis, are today useful for further company function.

This Bachelors thesis is aiming to create a business plan showing how a mobile application can be developed and put on the market. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part gives the reader an insight into the business and startups in particular. It includes definitions, businessman view on a business, rules, legislation, structure of a business plan and different business analysis tools. Then the practical part is the about putting the theoretical part into the practice. In our case it will be applied on QuickJOBS mobile application. Doing so should help the project to be ready for the future obstacles and find a plan to proper overcome them.

Business plan of a kinder garten

The topic of my Bachelor Thesis is a business plan of the private kindergarten that consists of two main parts. The first theoretical part gives description of the business plan structure and presents applicable legislation for the private kindergarten. The second practical part contains a complex of analyzed data with financial statements graphs conducted marketing researches and analyses of possible risks. The practical part can be called as a guide for converting the idea into reality. Financial and marketing projections create a complete picture of profitability of such a business.
