The Meaning and the History of The Golden Path for the Cultural Regional Tradition

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the historical development of The Golden Path, to evaluate its cultural and socio-historical meaning for the region of Prachatice. The thesis consists of three parts. The first part is focused on the historical development of The Golden Path. The historical development of the town Prachatice is described in this section too because it is closely related to The Golden Path. The second part of the thesis deals with the socio-historical and cultural meaning of The Golden Path for the region of Prachatice. The third part presents the results of the questionnaire given to the secondary school students. This questionnaire examined the question whether the history and the meaning of The Golden Path are included in the curriculum for History and Civics at the secondary schools in Prachatice.
