Pham, Jakub ; Holub, Michal (referee) ; Tůma, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design of a simulation model of a CNC machine tool in MSC ADAMS software. Nowadays, simulations have become an integral part of every development process, as they offer a cost-effective alternative to classical machine development involving prototyping. Within machine tools, dynamic simulation of machine nodes is one of the unexplored areas. The aim of this work is to verify their functionality and reliability in this area. Within the scope of the bachelor thesis, a research on dynamic system simulations, the finite element method and the simulation software MSC Adams and Ansys has been carried out. In the practical part, the spindle loading of the MCV 754 Quick machine tool was designed. Subsequently, the model geometry and boundary conditions were determined and the spindle was simulated during the cutting process in MSC ADAMS. The simulation results were verified by both analytical calculation and experimental measurements on the machine. Furthermore, the concept of further development of the model within the framework of cosimulation was presented. Finally, all output parameters were compared and evaluated.

Design of cutting device for precise cutting of aluminum alloy tubes
Schaffelhofer, Igor ; Omes, Jiří (referee) ; Tůma, Jiří (advisor)
This master thesis is focused on the design of device for precise cutting of aluminum alloy pipes, which are part of gas-insulated switchgears at Hitachi Energy. Due to the implementation of new welding technology using friction stiring, there are increased requirements for the quality and accuracy of cuts, and the overall acceleration of the cutting process, including the associated handling. The current situation is the division of aluminum pipes using a band saw, which is insufficient not only in terms of output quality but also capacity. The proposed solution in this master thesis is in accordance with the necessary quality and capacity input requirements, which is required by friction stir welding technology (FSW). In the introductory research part, the work is focused on methods of material cutting. In the next part, the requirements for the cutting device are evaluated together with the evaluation and selection of a suitable method for the design. In the structural part of the master thesis, the individual concepts of partial parts are given, where the selected variants are supplemented by appropriate calculations.
Digital twin of machine tool
Klíč, Daniel ; Štěpánek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Tůma, Jiří (advisor)
Digital twin is virtual model of real object or process, which its functions and operations can be simulated. This thesis focuses on the creation of a digital twin of axis movements on a three-axis CNC milling machine MCV Quick 754, which is located in the laboratories of the Institute of Production Machines, Systems and Robotics at Brno University of Technology. The creation of the digital twin was carried out in Autodesk Inventor, in which the models were processed, in Adams View, in which the kinematic chain and the forces acting on the mechanical part of the machine were created. The whole assembly was exported for use in Matlab Simulink. In Matlab Simulink the drives and their control were created and the required positions and speeds were specified. The runs of the measured quantities on the real machine were compared with the simulation and the resulting values were in relative agreement.
Design of magnetic drilling machine
Jun, Lukáš ; Tůma, Zdeněk (referee) ; Tůma, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis is focused on a specific type of drilling machines, the magnetic drills press. These machines are typical for their magnetic base and are used mainly to machine magnetic materials, nonetheless, with suitable accessories, also the non-magnetic materials can be machined. The first part of the thesis begins with a description of the individual parts of the magnetic drill, their types and an overview of the accessories. The second part of the thesis contains the design of the drill itself. Cutting conditions for a 20mm twist drill and a 60mm annular cutter are defined. Based on the cutting conditions the motor is selected, then the design of a gearbox, selection of bearings and the whole assembly of the gearbox is described. Calculations of gearing, 3d model, drawing of assembly and two parts are attached with the thesis.
