Robust detection of keywords in speech signal
Vrba, Václav ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Atassi, Hicham (advisor)
The master thesis is divided into two parts theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is focused on methods of analysis and detection of speech signals. In the practical part the system for isolated word recognition was created in Matlab. The system is speaker independent separately for men and women. Also two speech databases were created for further use in the aircraft cockpit. Tests and evaluations were performed even with added noise.
Localization acoustic near-field sources
Šuránek, David ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Míča, Ivan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on acoustic source localization in near field situation. First part of this thesis is dedicated to examining the fundamental issues of acoustic source localization. After that are some of acoustic source localization methods described. Next part is focused on implementation, verification of functionality, comparing of the successfulness and results of the localization. In conclusion are summarized the outcomes of the thesis.
Speech segmentation
Kašpar, Ladislav ; Galáž, Zoltán (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
My diploma thesis is devoted to the problem of segmentation of speech. It includes the basic theory on this topic. The theory focuses on the calculation of parameters for seg- mentation of speech that are used in the practical part. An application for segmentation of speech has been written in Matlab. It uses techniques as segmentation of the signal, energy of the signal and zero crossing function. These parameters are used as input for the algorithm k–means.
Speech denoising based on wavelet transform and voice recognition in segments
Chrápek, Tomáš ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The wavelet transform is a modern signal processing tool. The wavelet transform earned itself a great success mainly for its unique properties, such as the capability of recognizing very fast changes in processed signal. The theoretical part of this work is introduction to wavelet theory, more specifically wavelet types, a wavelet transform and its application in systems dealing with signal denoising. A main problem connected to speech signals denoising was introduced. The problem is degradation of the speech signal when denoising unvoiced parts. It is because of the fact that unvoiced parts and noise itself have very similar characteristics. The solution would be to apply different attitude to voiced and unvoiced segments of the speech. The main goal of this diploma thesis was to create an application implementing the speech signal denoising using the wavelet transform. The special attention should have been paid to applying different attitude to voiced and unvoiced segments of the speech. The demanded application is programmed as a grafical user interface (GUI) in MATLAB environment. The algorithm implemented in this form allows users to test introduced procedures with a great comfort. This work presents achieved results and discusses them considering general requirements posed on an application of given type. The most important conlusion of this Diploma Thesis is the fact that some kind of trade-off between sufficient signal denoising and keeping the speech understandable has to be made.
Detection of the voice fundamental frequency
Chloupek, Jiří ; Mekyska, Jiří (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the detection of the pitch man. The frequency of the basic tone is one of the basic parameters of speech signal in the frequency domain. In this thesis we describe several methods for pitch detection and practical application of correlation method and cepstral analysis.
Identification of Ink Cartridges of Industrial Printer
Galád, Dominik ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the identification of ink cartridges by the industrial printer TSjet. There are described the basic methods of identification of ink cartridges that are commonly used today. There is also described 1-Wire® bus and USART interface. In the second part the thesis deals with suitable security algorithms for data security stored on the identification chip. The practical part describes the design of the system for identification of the ink cartridge. The conclusion of the thesis summarizes the results of design testing in practice and the safety evaluation of the whole system.
Software Analyzer for Audio Effects
Frenštátský, Petr ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
The utilisation of personal computers for a conditioning of audio devices has shown a significant increase, since the digital signal processing (DSP) was introduced. The expansion of the DSP has allowed implementing analyses to obtain frequency and linear characteristics, distortion parameters (THD, THD+N, WHD, SINAD), a rate of crosstalk or a signal-to-noise ratio. In this work a software analyser is developed, which is able to obtain qualitative parameters of hardware audio devices that are connected with a sound card. For an efficient communication between the sound card and the personal computer the ASIO driver is used. The application is capable to measure audio effects that are implemented in VST plug-ins. The software is developed in C++ language and the implemented analyses are based on the AES17 recommendation.
Signal processing in fiber optic sensing systems
Gardáš, Vít ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Münster, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on sensory systems and analysis of such signals. In the frst part, a theoretical analysis of each sensory system is conducted. Followingly, appropriate flters were used to process these signals. The last part of this thesis deals with the analysis of measured data.
Speech quality objective methods
Kovařík, Jiří ; Balík, Miroslav (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
In terms of the bachelor´s thesis was created a computer programme for the quality speech estimation. This programme was created in the MATLAB programming language using GUI programing environment. Through the use of created programme was processed group of records disturbed by various noises from the real environment. As a speech quality objective methods was chosen classical SNR, Segmental SNR, PESQ, Itakura distance, Itakura – Saito distance For this programme were created service instructions. In this work are these speech quality objective methods described furthermore the process of the human voice creation, speech modeling and a linear predictive coding.
Algorithm Database of Digital Audio Signal Processing with Automatic Classification and Searching using Web Interface
Kouba, Petr ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor was to design a database structure for classification source code and implementations of digital audio effects algorithms. Classification criteria for these algorithms are described in the thesis. A new project can be added to the database using web form or via of the automatic classification. The automatic classification is called a function for automatic recognition information in source files. For this purpose a format of saving catalog information into the source file was designed. These saved data can be further recognized by the suitable algorithm which utilizes PHP standard functions and then they inserted into the database. The saved projects can be searched by the project name, author’s name, the project description, or the criteria described in the introduction of this thesis.
