Comparison of the Concept of Contemporary Social Pedagogy in Anglophone and Post-Totalitarian Countries Based on the Example of Russia and Great Britain
Nigmatova, Maria ; Bendl, Stanislav (advisor) ; Syřiště, Ivo (referee)
v anglickém jazyce This work solves the technical problem associated with the concept of social pedagogy at present. Over the last decade, anglophone countries have begun to show interest in social pedagogy as perceived in Europe - i.e., in its broad conception. This is proved by the fact that in the framework of international cooperation of scientists, academics and other researchers in the field of social pedagogy, translations and other books about social pedagogy appear more and more frequently. In these sources we can find the information that in the Anglo-Saxon tradition social pedagogy is associated primarily with children and youth and does not include other age categories. However, the authors argue that social pedagogy in its broader concept has great potential for solving social problems. Therefore, scientists strive to implement social pedagogy in the context of social work, which has a rich tradition in Anglophone countries. The aim of the work is to find, analyze and compare relevant resources related to the concept of social pedagogy in the UK and Russia. For the practical part were selected such sources as: textbooks for universities, study materials and university studying plans. In these university studying plans social pedagogy is presented as a separate specialization. These...

This thesis deals with the problematic areas of life of university students suffering from social phobia. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part explains the concept of social phobia and describes its symptoms and possible causes. It also mentions character traits or emotions which social phobia needs to be distinguished from. It also deals with the period of early adulthood and the description of the university environment with the focus on potential factors in both areas, which can bring problems or stress to the individuals with social phobia. Due to the nature of the work, qualitative research was chosen and an in-depth semi-structured interview was selected for the data collection method, in which five respondents participated. Data analysis has shown that social phobia seriously affects a number of areas of life during university studies. Based on the respondents' testimonies, it was found out that the area of relations, especially partner relationships, is the most complicated. Furthermore, social phobia significantly complicates the field of education and the area of work. It is not uncommon for the individuals to have an education or a job position disproportionate to their potential. One of the biggest problems is the communication...

The knowledge of ethics and etiquette among high school students
Sýkorová, Zdenka ; Syřiště, Ivo (advisor) ; Mojžíšová, Jarmila (referee)
My bachelor thesis deals with the level of knowledge of ethics and etiquette among high school students. The aim of my bachelor thesis is to find out if they are aware of differences between these sciences. How students understand the meaning of ethics themselves. What ethical values are the most important for them, with what they don't agree about the current morality. In the field of etiquette, I found out whether students knew the basic rules of social behavior, who or what is the source of their knowledge, and last but not least, whether they thought we should behave according to etiquette. I obtained the research information through questionnaires and interviews, which are included in the practical part of my work. Thanks to this research, I have received the answers that I conclude that the level of etiquette knowledge is rather average for pupils. In contrast, ethics, its understanding, and what moral compass pupils have, turned out to be very good. In the theoretical part of my work I described the characteristics, meaning, history and brief development of both ethics and etiquette. I also deal with gender differentiation of etiquette rules, but also with a different understanding of gender in ethics and gender as such.
