The theoretical part defines the basic concepts and theories related to the social and media construction of reality, media image and media logic. The contextual part introduces in rough outlines the personality of Václav Havel. Aims: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyze barrier-free accesses to selected buildings of the local departments of the Police of the Czech Republic on the territory of the capital city of Prague. Methods: The main method of the research was the analysis of the selected buildings, where an anonymous personal interview consisting of 7 questions was performed on total of 54 police officers, 30 men and 24 women serving at the Local Police Department of the Czech Republic, at the age of 30 years old and more, and with at least 5 years of experience. Results: Barrier-free accessibility of buildings is not dependent on the occupancy of local departments, nor their location. Most of the inappropriately modified barrier-free buildings are only partially accessible, therefore help is necessary and there is no option to use the toilet cabins. Part of the investigated buildings underwent reconstruction, where only a barrier-free entry was established in the form of a sloping platform or ramps through elevated curbs or pavements. In addition, research has shown that serving policemen focused on helping disabled people, get to know each other due to charitable events organized by various organizations in their free time. There is no training nor courses on this issue currently, furthermore the initiative...

Grey Literature at Mendel University in Brno
Svobodová, Věra ; Perlová, Vladimíra
The paper summarizes the experience of a university library which has not started building institutional repository and which lacks conceptual treatment of work with grey literature. The MENDELU Library deals primarily with university final theses which are after their defense submitted to the library in printed copies and made further available in electronic forms within the University Information System. In addition, the paper focuses on current cooperation between MENDELU and NRGL (National Repository of Grey Literature) and our experience with data preparation for harvesting through the OAI-PMH protocol.
