Use of photography in a dental hygienist's office

Main topic of this bachelor thesis is the use of photography in a dental hygienist's office. The usage range is quite wide. Photography can be used as a documentation and legal protection instrument and also as a medium for patient motivation, personal presentation and publication purposes in the academical field. Theoretical part of bachelor thesis introduces the history of photography, photographical concepts, manipulation with and the set up of a digital single lens camera. Further presents accessories for dental photography, types of shots, the range of usage of a dental photography and postprocessing of images. Practical part of bachelor thesis consists of exemplar photos taken with the use of knowledge presented in the theoretical part of this thesis. Photographs were taken with digital single lens camera Nikon D3400 and additional dental accessories. Patients who were also the figurants for the photoshoots were chosen randomly. Photoshooting took place mostly in the area of the university hospital Královské Vinohrady and in a private dental office in Spálená street, where the author of this thesis serves her practical training.
