The role of gene AHL20 in initiation and development of lateral roots.
Svobodová, Barbora ; Soukup, Aleš (advisor) ; Růžička, Kamil (referee)
Members of the AHL (AT-hook motif nuclear-localized) gene family have been found in all sequenced plant land species, hence a link between divergence of AHL genes and colonization of terrestrial environments by plants is assumed. One of the adaptations of plants to the terrestrial environment was the development of a root system. Currently there is only a few information about the possible function of AHL genes in root system establishment and development. A typical characteristic of AHL genes is the presence of an AT-hook motif and a highly conserved PPC domain. Many studies have confirmed the involvement of AHL genes in a wide range of plant processes. They are potentially strong regulators of transcription at different levels. They function as transcription factors, interact with other transcription factors through the PPC domain, and are capable of chromatin remodeling through histone modifications. We selected candidate genes based on publicly available transcriptomic data: AHL18, AHL19, AHL20, AHL21, AHL22, AHL23, AHL27, and AHL28 with predicted function in root formation and development. The first aim of this thesis was to investigate possible involvement of AHL genes in lateral root development. For AHL19, AHL20, AHL21, AHL23, AHL27, and AHL28, we examined transcription rates at the root...
Relationship between the frequency of patient's visits to the Outpatient Addiction Treatment Clinic for Children and Adolescent depending on the presence of dual diagnosis
Svobodová, Barbora ; Jandáč, Tomáš (advisor) ; Rolová, Gabriela (referee)
BACKROUND - The area of addictological care, which focuses on children and adolescents, has moved forward considerably in recent years, yet this target group is still insufficiently described in comparison with, for example, the adult population. The presented thesis deals with the issue of dual diagnoses in patients of the Outpatient Addiction Treatment Clinic for Children and Adolescents. AIMS - The aim of the diploma thesis is a more detailed view of the types of diagnoses occurring among patients of the Outpatient Addiction Treatment Clinic for Children and Adolescent and the search for the possible regularity of the occurrence of the same pattern of these diagnoses (psychiatric diagnoses of patients associated with the use of addictive substances or non-substance dependence). Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the number of patient visits, i.e. the number of visits to the facility achieved by patients with different diagnoses. METHODS - The obtained data were processed using correlation analysis and descriptive statistics. The research included all patients who visited the outpatient clinic in 2015-2021. RESULTS - The most common major diagnoses in ADDA patients are pathological gambling (F63.0) and cannabinoid dependence (F12.2), the most common associated diagnoses are behavioral disorders,...

In CHAPTER TWO, I demonstrated the evolution of the language presently known as Hindi, i.e. a language that has been influenced and enriched by various cultures and languages, both from the internal sources such as the Sanskrit based words tatsama (2.1.1.), Hindi based words tadbhava (2.1.2.) and vernacular words called desi (2.2.) as well as external sources, such as Arabic (2.3.1.), Turkish (2.3.2.), Urdu (2.3.3.) or Persian (2.3.4.) and especially the linguistic influences connected with the European Colonial Powers, such as Portuguese (2.4.1.) and above all English (2.4.2.), whose influence started to be felt from the second half of the 19th century and culminated in the...

My thesis deals with evaluation of visits in central parts of Giant Mountains National Park in the summer month through three years of periodic monitoring and unique evaluation survey of visitors of natural protected area of Beskydy. It compares results of this protected areas each other and with other chosen national parks in North America, Australia and Europe. It has been recorded the quantitative load of selected localities in Giant Mountain National Park (Luční bouda, Labská bouda and U čtyř pánů) and natural protected area Beskydy (Pustevny). It were conducted guided interview with visitors at this locations. With this method used was obteined high ratio response (about 92 %). It was recorded a total of 44 281 visitors. The most frequented location was Luční bouda and U čtyř pánů in Giant Mountain National Park. But on the top of the Pustevny, the amount of walkers was twice times bigger. Statistically, it was subsequently found some answers to the dependence of demografic characteristic of population of respondents. From this conclusions were drawn both valid conclusions especially for the population of visitors, compared to other protected areas were also expressed about the conclusions of the participants travel mountain protected areas at all. Antimicrobial activity of selected Peruvian medicinal plants
Svobodová, Blanka ; Bosáková, Zuzana (referee)
In frame of this work, antimicrobial activity of ethanol extracts from 14 plants (belonging to 13 families) traditionally used in Peruvian folk medicine for the treatment of various infections was tested against 9 bacteria and 1 yeast by broth microdilution method. For 7 of which this is the first report of antimicrobial activity. Abuta grandifolia, Maytenus macrocarpa, Naucleopsis glabra and Pterocarpus rohrii inhibiting all tested microbial strains at MICs ranging from 0.25 to 8 mg/ml; 0.125 to 0.25 mg/ml; 0.0625 to 4 mg/ml and 0.25 to 16 mg/ml, respectively, were considered as potentially prospective sources of new bioactive substances.

The presented bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the use of alternative and augmentative communication in people with impaired communication abilities. The text explained the theoretical basis of the work, including concepts: communication, communication disorder, Rett syndrome - RTT and systems of alternative and augmentative communication - AAC. The issue of RTT is processed to serve as a source of information about this rare disease. The thesis is mainly focused on AAC systems usable for people with RTT. The practical part consists of case study of girl with RTT. It analyzes the current development of the child, including her communication skills. It describes the current status of the level of communication skills, discusses progress of training the AAC system VOKS with this girl and analyzes the impact of the use of VOKS on her communication skills development. Keywords: communication disorder, Rett syndrome, pervasive developmental disorders, augmentative and alternative communication, VOKS
