Political Trial with "Leaders of illegal anti-state Group KDS" in 1955 and related Trials
Tilsch, Jan ; Míšková, Alena (advisor) ; Pehr, Michal (referee) ; Svoboda, Libor (referee)
Main Content of this Work is to describe in detail Part of political Trials in Czechoslovakia during the first Part of 1950's, focused against political Opponents coming from Czechoslovak People's Party (ČSL) or Roman Catholic. The Topic - political Trial with "Leaders of illegal anti-state Group Christian-Democratic Party (KDS)" in 1955 and related Trials - is almost unprocessed. The Goal of this Work is to sketch long-lasting "crusade", managed by the communist Power, against "virtual political Entity KDS". This "crusade" should culminate by public political Trial with Leaders of KDS. I'd like to focus on Secret state Police (StB) and its searching of Leaders of KDS, showing the Mechanism of anti-state Groups' Construction too. During the final Part I'd like to show continuance of struggle against other Groups of KDS after the Year 1955 until 1960's and introduce real activities of KDS' Leaders.
Chemical experiments with natural compounds oriented on education.
Opatová, Michala ; Petrželová, Simona (advisor) ; Trnka, Tomáš (referee) ; Svoboda, Lubomír (referee)
Inclusion of experiments into tuition of chemistry is required and a topic of natural compounds enables combination of chemistry with biology and subjects of common life. This dissertation concerns experiments with natural compounds, their utilization within project education at educational and popularizing events which are held by Charles University in Prague. Researches of selected secondary textbooks and professional publications are parts of the thesis. A questionnaire survey is also included on which basis opinions of secondary teachers were evaluated. A collection of instruction in the experiments was prepared. The main part of the thesis is focused on detailed desription of experiments supplemented with pictures and information about selected natural compounds. A proposal to educational excursions focused on natural compounds and project tuition is also included. The whole thesis bring a new look into experiments with natural compounds in sense of searching individual compounds in blends, discovering composition of food processing products not only by chromatography.
Disarmament: the development of bilateral treaties between the USA and Russia
Svoboda, Lukáš ; Ondřej, Jan (advisor) ; Hýbnerová, Stanislava (referee)
The goal of this thesis was to map historical progress of disarmament agreements between Russian Federation and The United States of America from the end of the World War II, through the Cold War and ending in the present, formulated by the latest agreement NEW START made in 2010. This period of time includes rounds of negotiations about SALT, SALT II, INF agreement, through START I, START II, which never came in effect, ending with NEW START. Thesis is analyzing agreements not only via itself agreement's lines or proposals but also with their negotiations that led to formation of the agreements including brief historical background in which they were formatted. Rather bigger attention in this thesis is dedicated to the NEW START agreement which gained experience from past agreements. Thesis is divided into 5 chapters where the first chapter is dealing with theoretical delimits of terms which are necessary for sufficient understanding of the textual mater of these agreements. Other chapters are designed so that after every short introduction of the historical background is following analysis of the agreements or their particular links and their comparison with the previous agreements. Last chapter is focused on the issues about controlling the fulfillments of the agreements under the agreements...
Comparison of the Czechoslovak 1st and 2nd republic from the point of view of the theory of authoritarian regimes by Juan J. Linz
Svoboda, Ladislav ; Mlejnek, Josef (advisor) ; Kubát, Michal (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with pair of domestic regimes known as the second and third | Czechoslovakian republic. The choice of these periods of the national history was conditioned by a relative absence of comparative political scientific works on these periods and by timelessness and topicality of the studying of domestic regimes, that refused the idea of a liberal democracy twice in ten years. The goal of the diploma thesis is to analyze, compare and categorize the second and the third Czechoslovakian republic in the framework provided by the theory of authoritarian and totalitarian regimes by Juan J. Linz. In the first part the thesis describes the theoretical framework of the theory of authoritarian and totalitarian regimes with stress on the theory of authoritarian regimes, as it is the assumption of the thesis, that both the second and the third republic were cases of authoritarian regimes. The other parts of theory which deal with totalitarian and sultanistic regimes are only briefly mentioned. In the second part of the thesis there is an analysis and comparison of both regimes based on three research questions. In this part the thesis deals with the relationship of both studied regimes with the first republic and their relationship with a liberal democracy, then it deals with the very analysis in...
Calandering of li-ion electrodes and its impact on the final capacity of lithium-ion cell
Svoboda, Lukáš ; Kazda, Tomáš (referee) ; Čech, Ondřej (advisor)
There is an effort to produce lithium-ion batteries with maximal density of energy, or higher capacity of cell with the same size. Calendaring of electrodes is important part of manufacturing of batteries. Its parameters, mainly the pressure of calendaring and with it related the final compression ratio of electrode layers, affect parameters of battery significantly. It is the process of pressing electrode material coated on current collector with certain pressure and it reduces its porosity and thickness. The aim of this bachelor thesis is determination of suitable level of calendaring that increases specific capacity, but does not reduce its cyclability.
Conveying machines for transport of piece goods
Barcuch, Libor ; Svoboda, Libor (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This master’s thesis is dealing with the conveying machines used for transport of piece goods. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the first part is performed overview of the most widely used conveyors. Second part of this thesis is focused on creating design of conveyor system for distribution centre with required line throughput.
Windows and their influence on the thermal properties of building structures
Svoboda, Luboš ; Trgala, Kamil (advisor) ; Jan, Jan (referee)
Currently there is a great emphasis on energy savings in the building industry. Constructional opening fillings, such as windows and doors, are of a great importance for saving energy in buildings. Constructional opening fillings are one of the most challenging construction elements, because high demands are put on them. The first part of this diploma thesis is devoted to research of the literature focusing on the issue of constructional opening fillings. Additionally, this diploma thesis introduces the basic terminology of constructional opening fillings, and also provides information about existing materials - including basic requirements for lighting, ventilation, mechanical resistance, and protection against noise and safety. It also deals with mechanical and physical properties, such as thermal and technical characteristics, crevice integrity, sound insulation properties, thermal insulation properties of glass, thermal insulating properties of frames, waterproof, airproof, fire-technical characteristics and protection against undesirable permeability. The main part of the thesis is devoted to the respective measurement of construction opening fillings in six selected objects. Based on the measured results, a thermal-computational diagnostics is carried out for each object. The conclusion sums up the results, the data obtained are analyzed and evaluated. On the basis of the evaluation, appropriate recommendations are provided.
Mercury contents in mushrooms growing nearby Horní Slavkov
Říhová, Štěpánka ; Svoboda, Lubomír (advisor) ; Tondl, František (referee)
In the seventies it was discovered, that many species of wild higher fungi accumulates in their fruiting bodies some potentially hazardous elements in amounts significantly higher, than any other ecosystem cells, respectively eatables. For the most risky elements especially cadmium and mercury are considered. The aim of my rigorous paper was to determine mercury content in the fruiting bodies of mushrooms growing in the area with an extremely rich history of mining and processing of metal ores (mostly tin). Mushroom samples were collected (from July 2005 to September 2006) from two sites near the village of Krásno close Horní Slavkov. Mercury was analyzed in 130 samples of 13 edible mushroom species. Only fully developed fruiting bodies were selected for the analysis, each represented a separate sample. It was also carried out a comparative test, detecting effect of fungal cleansing on the kontent of mercury. Mercury was determined in homogenized samples on a single-atomic absorption spectrometer AMA -254, which uses the technique of atomizing cold vapor generation of mercury with subsequent capture on a gold amalgamator. The content of mercury in the fruiting bodies of the monitored area was very well comparable to the normal state in areas without mining. In point of harmful character of mercury,...
Digitized experiments - The instrument for mastering of selected curriculum of general chemistry
Bartoš, Ivan ; Čipera, Jan (advisor) ; Havlíček, David (referee) ; Svoboda, Lubomír (referee)
By analyzing electronical tools, online applications and tutorials from Czech Republic and abroad I have come to the conclusion that it is necessary to create a flexible educational instrument which includes digitized chemical experiments for general chemistry. Following the analysis of present databases, CD ROMs and VHS containing pictured experiments I found out that a lot of spectacular experiments with pyrotechnical components have not been shooted at all or not in the range of "greater" chemicals quantity. The chosen programming language, in which FMDP was written, proved to be most efficient. This choice emerged from a discussion with programmers and was motivated in particular by larger possibilities of C# than HTML have. In addition to it the modification of the FMDP content is easy. The teachers with minimum of the PC-literacy can make any changes in FMDP, alternate any of its parts and adapt them for various internal and external conditions of education. With regard to the interview having found the needs of learners I filmed and digitized especially such experiments that present the chemical reactions accompanied by the rise of a smoke, light emission, explosion and a surprising turn of colours. On the basis of the statistical evaluation of statistical data containing marks achieved by...
