SMS Enterprise Premises
Máslová, Jana ; Svoboda, Jiří (referee) ; Nový, Alois (advisor) ; Novotný, Miloslav (advisor)
Buildings for small and medium businesses constitute separate premises adjacent to D2 highway exit to the city of Modřice and village of Chrlice. Design of these buildings is based on simple composition of cuboid forms in order to create partly enclosed entry compass enliven with greenery. This space also serves as a resting place in the time of pauses. Frontage of buildings is appended with foremost facade consisting of blocks of various colours and materials that results in interesting and playful appearance of buildings. Therefore, despite its production purposes, the whole campus creates an impression of a residential area. The main architectonic goal was to create building (buildings) with as flexible utilization as possible, while respecting important role of incorporation of nature and greenery into premises.
Production of women´s clothing
Šťastná, Vladimíra ; Svoboda, Jiří (referee) ; Nový, Alois (advisor) ; Donaťáková, Dagmar (advisor)
The theme of my bachelor project is design of industrial factory producing women´s clothing in Brno – Zidenice. Building site in sloping terrain is used for right orientation of 3 buildings – an industrial hall, an affiliated storehouse and an auxiliary technic base. Part of the industrial hall is cantilevered and also the orientation reacts with the environs. Main ideas were to use the view and to group building to optimize producing process, also to build up satisfactory base for employees, as well as to impress people inside and outside the factory.
Multicomponent Alloys Based on Immiscible Systems Prepared by Powder Metallurgy Route
Adam, Ondřej ; Svoboda, Jiří (referee) ; Sopoušek, Jiří (referee) ; Jan, Vít (advisor)
Immiscible alloys are a relatively well-known group of materials, however, they are still being intensively studied, especially from the point of view of heterogeneous materials with very good mechanical properties, but also electrical properties, for example. The main part of the research deals with cast materials, although in the case of immiscible alloys, there is a risk of liquid separation, which results in the loss of mechanical properties. This dissertation deals with the study of Cu-Fe-based immiscible alloys prepared by powder metallurgy methods. The theoretical part summarizes basic information about immiscible alloys, their microstructure, properties, and production options. The experimental part is first devoted to the choice of the suitable chemical composition of the studied alloys and subsequently to the optimization and influence of the mechanical alloying parameters on the properties of prepared powders. The main part of the experiments contains a complex structural, phase, and thermal analysis of Cu50Fe50 and Cu50(FeCo)50 alloys. In both alloys, a dual-phase ultrafine-grained microstructure was formed after sintering. The most significant of the presented results is the excellent resistance to grain coarsening compared to the other ultrafine-grained materials, where even after sintering at very high temperatures, the average grain size remained below 1 micron. The presumed reason is the immiscible nature of the studied alloys.

Sintering of Advanced Ceramic Materials
Pouchlý, Václav ; Svoboda, Jiří (referee) ; Ptáček, Petr (referee) ; Maca, Karel (advisor)
Sintering is a one of the key step in a processing of bulk ceramic materials. New sintering methods were invented in the last years. These new sintering methods, according to their authors, can be used for obtaining finer final microstructure of ceramics only by modifying the heating schedule. This work is focused on an influence of the Two Step Sintering method on the final microstructure for oxide ceramics. Obtained experimental results have shown that the effectivity of the Two Step Sintering method is rising with crystallographic symmetry of used material. Thesis is also focused on a high-temperature dilatometry and concept of the Master Sintering Curve. This concept was used for calculation of the activation energy of sintering and finding different sintering mechanisms acting in the intermediate and final stage of sintering. Activation energy of sintering was compared with activation energy of grain growth with target to find the kinetic window. Kinetic window can allow a sintering without a grain growth. Master Sintering Curve method was also used in a pressure assisted unconventional sintering technique Spark Plasma Sintering. Master Sintering Curve applied to a Spark Plasma Sintering technique reveals and quantified different sintering mechanisms acting in Spark Plasma Sintering. These findings led to preparation of transparent tetragonal ZrO2.
