Svoboda, Jakub ; Luhan, Jan (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is a proposal to improve reporting solution for the marketing agency Business Factory. Based on the variant selected by a multi-criteria evaluation, it will be possible to extract, transform, present and analyze the data needed for decision-making faster and more reliably than before. The result will be a more efficient way of decisions making both for the agency's internal team and for its clients.
System management of liquid-propellant rocket engine for rocket model
Machining technology with the necessity of manual work
Svoboda, Jakub ; Kupčák, Radim (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
Manual work is still necessary and often irreplaceable. In most cases, it is combined with machine production. As an example of such work we have chosen the production of tin lead alloy organ pipes, which encompasses several machining processes. All aspects of production were analyzed, including specification of the materials used and the various production processes. A pipe was produced according to these specifications for illustration. Individual chapters presented special manual tools and specific machinery. The difficulty and originality of the given production was outlined. This is professional work requiring manual dexterity, logical thought, attention to detail and an artistic spirit. During production we obtained an image showing a part of the cross-section of the pipe perpendicular to its axis. The image shows the correct shape of the soldered joint and the tangential connection of both sides of the sheet. Several aspects of the pipe were evaluated. The final chapters include feedback from customers and a general assessment of this particular work.
Generalized Moran process
Svoboda, Jakub ; Šámal, Robert (advisor) ; Balko, Martin (referee)
The Moran process is a model for simulating evolutionary dynamics. In that model, one mutant with higher fitness is introduced to a structured population. Evolution is simulated in rounds. In one round, individual is selected proportio- nally to its fitness and spreads to the place of a random neighbour. In this thesis, we motivate the Moran process, present basic results, and define our variant. We work in a vertex dependent model; every individual has fitness according to its type and occupied vertex. In the vertex dependent model we prove two theorems about the number of steps the process has to make to get to the stable state. We show that on the complete graph, the process takes only polynomially many steps and we find a graph where the process take exponentially many steps, but in the normal settings the number of steps is the same as on the complete graph. 1
Aplikace hierarchických grafových gramatik v procedurálním generování světů
Svoboda, Jakub ; Černý, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Dingle, Adam (referee)
Title: Application of hierarchical graph grammars in procedural 3D world gen- eration Author: Jakub Svoboda Abstract: Procedural content generation (PCG) is an often-used technique in video games. It allows us to generate large quantities and permutations of con- tent. A common problem in utilizing PCG in level design is that it is challenging to generate content close to what a human would create in overall quality and structure. One way of solving these problems is using graph grammars to rep- resent relations in the game world. Implementing a working graph generator using graph grammars and applying it to generate worlds is not very well docu- mented. This thesis will try to overcome this problem by implementing such a generator and extending it to use hierarchical graph grammars. The generator will be used to generate a 3D open world. The generator should be suitable for levels in other types of games. Keywords: procedural content generation, game development, hierarchical graphs, graph grammars, procedural level design
Liability for defects applicable to contracts for work
Svoboda, Jakub
Liability for defects is one of the important elements of contract for work. This thesis deals with comparison of the current regulation of defects liability in contract for work as provided by the Civil Code and contract for work as provided by the Commercial Code. Individual topics are addressed jointly to show common features of liability and differences in approach to liability for defects in the Civil Code and the Commercial Code. Individual explications are also supplemented by the case law, which has in many instances already helped to overcome certain interpretation difficulties. The aim of this thesis is to find the general features of civil liability for defects under a contract for work. Before others it concentrates on the concept of defective performance and the concept of defect, which are the cornerstone to liability for defects. This thesis also examines the concept of consumer law on general level.
Application for Recognition of People by Face
Svoboda, Jakub ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Goldmann, Tomáš (advisor)
Person identification has in the recent years gained notoriety as one of the most powerful ways of extracting information from image data. This thesis is focused on the task of human identification from facial photographs. To solve this task, we employ algorithms based on neural networks, which produce more robust results than traditional algorithms. In this thesis, we studied the common approaches for solving this problem and based on the gathered knowledge we created an architecture of a neural network trained to tackle the task of human identification and verification based on facial photographs. We have then further improved the model architecture and the training process by performing various experiments and observing the results. The final model has reached an accuracy comparable to other state-of-the-art models. Furthermore, we created a desktop application to demonstrate the results visually and to enable easier manipulation with the identity database. The knowledge gathered in this thesis can be used for improvements of current identification models or models modified for solving similar tasks.

Study of structural features of single stranded DNA by biophysical techniques and crystallography
Svoboda, Jakub ; Schneider, Bohdan (advisor) ; Pavlíček, Jiří (referee)
DNA is the fundamental molecule in all domains of life, its role in heredity is well established. Although the famous double helical complementary form is indispensable for replication mechanism DNA can occupy wide range of conformations. In the past studies performed in the laboratory, DNA oligomers related to single stranded bacterial Repetitive Extragenic Palindromic (REP) showed spectral behavior suggesting complex equilibria including double helical, hairpin, and tetraplex conformations. The studies presented in this thesis extended the scope of analyzed sequences and employed circular dichroism spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. We report spectral data and X-ray structures of three successfully crystalized oligonucleotides. All three structures acquire double helical architecture with two consecutive T- T mismatches in the center. To improve the convergence of the refinement process of the crystal structures we used novel dinucleotide conformational classes, NtC classes. The NtC class classification was also used to analyze geometries of selected non-canonical base pairs in all DNA crystal structures in the Protein Data Bank. We measured the fit between geometries of the dinucleotides involved in the non-canonical base pairing and the NtC classes and correlated this fit to the electron...
