Measurement of dissociation constants of potential antituberculotics
Suchý, Miroslav ; Kubíček, Vladimír (advisor) ; Nováková, Veronika (referee)
Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis Candidate: Mgr. Miroslav Suchy Consultant: Ing. Vladimir Kubicek, CSc. Title of Thesis: Measurement of dissociation constants of potential antituberculotics This rigorous thesis deals with the measurement of dissociation constants substances newly synthesized at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Charles University in Hradec Kralove. It is assumed that these substances could serve to treat tuberculosis disease.[1] The measurement was performed by potentiometric and spectrophotometric method. The match between the results of both methods is usually very good. Newly synthesized drugs are based on the structure of pyrazinamide and the measured values of dissociation constants should serve as supplementary information in further research.

1. Abstract Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Kralove Department of Biophysics and Physical Chemistry Candidate: Miroslav Suchy Supervisor: Ing. Vladimir Kubicek, CSc. Title of Diploma Thesis: Physico-Chemical properties of drugs To test physico-chemical properties of new molecules is necessary during drug development. It could be helpful to understand or predict the pharmacokinetic parametres of a new drug in vivo/in vitro experiments. One of this parameters is a dissociation constant (pK). Dissociation constant is defined as " Number on pH scale, wherein is just fifty percent of molecule in a ionization condition". In real case this number can help us to know where in the gastro-intestinal tract (GIT) the drug will be absorbed. In GIT only molecules exhibiting pK from 3 to 11 could be absorbed. Out of this range it is not possible. In this work I would like to introduce the ways of experimental measurement of pK values. I was working with two methods to measure the pK values of water-soluble compounds. The spectrophotometric method and the potentiometric one. I had to find out, that potentiometric titration is primary method which gets us good and accurate results. Based on my measurement I evaluated the spectrophotometric method as the secondary method. Spectrophotometric method...
Aplikace principů pozornosti v online prostředí
Suchý, Miroslav ; Pavlíček, Antonín (advisor) ; Endlar, Lewis (referee)
Attention is today a scarce resource, which is from physiological substance of the human brain to a certain extent limited. Abundance of information that affect the user who grasp the information, cause a mismatch between the information that is infinite and ever growing, and user attention, which is used during the processing of this information. From the perspective of Attention economy, there are principles that explain how attention works. This work aims to verify these principles of attention in the electronic environment by measuring eye movements of sample of tested participants during execution of proposed tasks on particular website. Using a technology called eye-tracking there are collected supportive data on user's allocated attention in context of executed tasks on the website. These data are analysed and compared with the principles of attention. The analysis of the tested sample of website users confirmed that attention principles really corresponds with the measured allocated attention and also revealed a clear relationship between the various measured amounts of attention and subsequent user behaviour, which was nearly identical at most of the observed users. These findings led to the recommendation to respect the principles of attention in the design of any e-environment platform, which should avoid to the main researched problem, the abundance of information and the lack of attention of users in online environment.
Comparison of social networks: Facebook and Google Plus
Suchý, Miroslav ; Žamberský, Martin (advisor) ; Bruckner, Tomáš (referee)
This work provides coherent information about social networks and focuses on the two largest social networks in the present: Facebook and Google+. The main content of this work is comparison of these two social networks, which is made on the basis of networks exploration from different perspectives. Another task is to find suitable indicators for measuring and comparing the quality of social networks in general. In the practical part is described advertising campaign created for each of the networks being compared, and then evaluated its success. On the conclusions achieved in the whole work is finally compared the suitability of both networks for the various actors involved in social networks.
