Construction design hydraulic press brake
Stránský, Jaroslav ; Holub, Michal (referee) ; Pavlík, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is divided into several chapters. First two chapters after introduction are written as search type. In next part I devoted to detailed design of functional mechanisms of linearly moving parts of press brake. For the construction of stop mechanism I dealt with conversion types as ball screw, pinion with rack and timing belts. There is also quite thorough calculation part in ball screw and pinion with rack issue. I have also dealt with the necessary bending force and then designed hydraulic cylinders. Elaboration of machine frame with safety features is included.
Alternative energy sources
Stránský, Jaroslav ; Moskalík, Jiří (referee) ; Škvařil, Jan (advisor)
In this work, I tried to summarize the current state of world energy resources that we use to convert into electrical energy. There is solved the question of compensation running short supplies of fossil fuels and reduce discharge of greenhouse gasses. I´m looking for suitable compensation in department of alternative energy sources, among which I included the power of the Sun, water, wind, geothermal energy, using heat pumps, combustion energy, nuclear energy, fuel cells and hydrogen use. About anyone of replacing sources you learn about its history, advantages and disadvantages, the principle of function energy transform devices, and compare the potential that is available in the CR and in the world.
New educational materials for education in biochemistry at secondary schools
Stránský, Jaroslav ; Martínek, Václav (advisor) ; Distler, Petr (referee)
Biochemistry is usually the last taught discipline of chemistry. In the Czech Republic, grammar school students study biochemistry during the third or fourth grade. This can sometimes cause problems because there is often little time left for biochemistry when compared to other chemical disciplines. The content of the biochemical curriculum is often limited only to memorization of the most important facts and there is no time enough to point out the important relationships of biochemistry to everyday life. In the last year of study, many students have already decided whether or not to study chemistry in the future and it is then difficult to find some topics that would attract the attention of those who do not want to continue studying chemistry. This thesis is focused on the solving this situation. The first part gives an overview on the theoretical background, which forms the framework for the following parts - Analysis of selected textbooks, which was done to map the current state of teaching biochemistry in Czech schools, and Creation of new didactic materials that can complement current textbooks and help teachers explain the basics of biochemistry more clearly and in the context of contemporary everyday life. The last part of this diploma thesis summarizes the experiences with use of the...
The influence of cytochrome b5 on naphthalene oxidation catalyzed by human cytochrome P450 1A2
Stránský, Jaroslav ; Martínek, Václav (advisor) ; Moserová, Michaela (referee)
Cytochromes P450 (CYP) form a crucial group of oxidoreductase-class enzymes participating in the biotransformation of numerous endo- and exogenous compounds (xenobiotics). A negative aspect to the activity of this enzyme, however, can be the bioactivation, a process during which an originally only slightly toxic compound is transformed into a substance of much higher toxicity. Cytochrome P450 has therefore long been standing at the forefront of biochemical and medicinal interest. For the proper function of cytochrome P450 a supply of electrons into a catalytic cycle is necessary. This is usually taken care of by NADPH:cytochrome P450 oxidoreductase. Cytochrome b5, an enzyme present in the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum of eukaryotic cells along with NADPH:cytochrome P450 oxidoreductase and cytochrome P450, however, can also act as an alternative electron donor. The participation of cytochrome b5 in the catalytic cycle of cytochrome P450 have a potential to modulate this cycle. Over the course of evolution, many isoforms of cytochrome P450 have developed, each possessing different substrate specifity, catalytic properties, distributions within various tissues etc. This bachelor thesis is focused on the isoform 1A2 (CYP1A2) which represents nearly 10 % of all human hepatic cytochrome P450s....
Forced Labour in the Czech Republic
Aldorf, Lukáš ; Koldinská, Kristina (advisor) ; Štefko, Martin (referee) ; Stránský, Jaroslav (referee)
Forced Labour in the Czech Republic Abstract The submitted dissertation thesis examines so far neglected issue of forced labour in the Czech Republic in its complexity, i.e. both its lawful (e.g. work performed by imprisoned persons) and unlawful forms. It seeks to discover whether the present law (and extra-legal regulation) on this topic is sufficient. For this purpose it examines not only the corresponding law across individual branches of law, but also its place in the historical and moral- philosophical context. In the first parts, the submitted thesis deals with the existence of free will as a precondition of considering a work freely chosen and with the existence and content of objective morality as a precondition of considering anything morally right. Special attention is dedicated to forced labour during Protectorate and communist regime in Czechoslovakia. The core parts of the submitted thesis consist of an analysis of corresponding international, European and national law. The attention shifts from first international conventions dealing with this issue adopted by International Labour Organisation to rich case law of the European Court of Human Rights and finally to Czech legal order where e.g. transfer of an employee to alternative work without his or her consent, transfer of employees' rights,...
Nursing care of patient with alcoholic hepatitis
Fetter, Lukáš ; Zvoníčková, Marie (advisor) ; Stránský, Jaroslav (referee)
The aim of my work is to describe the problems of the nursing process in a patient with acute alcoholic hepatitis. Patients with this diagnosis, I have chosen deliberately, because I was interested in long term drug and alcohol. Just alcohol, which is classified as a heavy drug, is the originator of the disease in selected patients. I divided into three parts. The first is clinical, where I very briefly mentioned the anatomy and physiological functions of the liver. I mentioned the possibilities of the human body to metabolize alcohol and irreplaceable role of the liver in this area. From a general chapter on the pathogenesis of liver injury, I focused and detailed descriptions of acute alcoholic hepatitis in its breadth of clinical and laboratory findings. Its place there are also complications of alcoholic hepatitis, treatment options and the severity of the forecast. The second part deals přednemocničnímu the time of hospitalization, and my patient. I mentioned a comprehensive course of his hospitalization with all the diagnostic methods and conclusions. The third part is the essence of my work. I described the problems of the nursing process in a patient with acute alcoholic hepatitis, which is complicated by hepatic encephalopathy. I believe that most nursing model is the model of Virginia Henderson....
