Development of the school in the Louňovice pod Blaníkem in historical and regional context

The thesis "Development of the School in Louňovice pod Blaníkem in Historical-Regional Context" aims to map the emergence and evolution of the school in Louňovice pod Blaníkem against the backdrop of the region, examining the development and characteristics of the municipality within its own historical context. The political and educational context in relation to the educational laws of the studied period is also considered. The methods employed in this thesis include source analysis, inductive and deductive methods, and the project method. The historical section describes the regional, historical, and economic development of the municipality, as well as the establishment and evolution of the school throughout history.The practical part focuses on a demonstration of project-based teaching in the third year. The aim is to bring students closer to the history of the school and the township, allowing them to process acquired information through experiential learning. The outcome of the thesis is a summary of the historical development of the township and school in Louňovice pod Blaníkem, along with the implementation of the project "School: Past and Present." Cooperation between beginning teachers and other teachers

The diploma thesis deals with the cooperation between beginning pedagogues and other colleagues at the primary school also with mutual support between them and also with workplace relationships which effects working of the whole school. In the first chapter of the theoretical part, the teacher's personality and his professional development are described. The following chapters describe the beginning teacher, his support from the management and the introducing teacher. The theoretical part also describes the cooperation of teachers, the most common forms of cooperation and the role of management in cooperation between teachers. The aim of the research in the empirical part is to find out how beginning teachers perceive support in their beginnings of the teaching profession, as well as how they perceive cooperation and relationships at the school where they began their teaching practice.
The history around us

The diploma thesis introduces the 5th grade students to the history of the place that is located in the area close to the school. With the help of the project, and therefore their own research, the pupils will discover the period of the 19th century through the life and work of Karel Jaromír Erben. Since the school is located near the Olšan Cemetery in Prague, the beginning and the end of the project are at these cemeteries, where K. J. Erben is buried. The work is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part, will be presented information about the situation in the 19th century. How Czechs and other nationalities lived before and after 1848. The work focuses on the important patriot Karel Jaromír Erben, who lived in the mentioned times and his work, which is still known to the general public. At the same time, the work also focuses on the pupil and the goals that are based on the RVP. The knowledge gained from the theoretical part will serve as the basis for the practical part. In the practical part, the work is directly focused on a specific project. Its plan, implementation, evaluation, reflection and self-reflection. Teaching about family at primary school

My dissertation deals with educational area Humans and their world in the first grade of primary school, specifically the family. The theoretical part contains definition of the term family, its function, models, historical development and also analysis of certain textbooks - how the family topic is processed. In practical part I draw from theoretical pieces of knowledge and I monitor in detail the process of three lessons, within specific class taught by specific teacher, using the case study method. The interview with the teacher and the author of the textbook is also important. At the end of my dissertation I compare the textbook authors' and teacher's conception of this educational area and provide several pieces of advice to improve the lessons.
The Importance of the Biblical Story in Ethical Education in a Small Class School

The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part summarizes the theoretical knowledge about the meaning of the biblical story and its narration. The first part also includes a chapter that deals with ethics education in terms of curriculum documents. Considering the topic of the thesis, the first chapter specifies the small school and the last chapter deals with the younger school age. Didactics and didactic methods of working with the Bible are not omitted. In the empirical part, an action research design and an interview as a method of data collection were used. The aim was to find out how to work with the biblical story in ethics education in a small school based on lesson scenarios which retell the biblical text. Furthermore, this part presents the research lessons and recommendations for further work with the biblical text in small school. The research has proven that the implementation of the biblical stories in ethics education in small school is an appropriate means of acquiring new knowledge, experiences, values and virtues that come from within these stories. Values education for children in primary education through programs of the Pedagogical Center of the Archbishopric of Prague

The topic of this diploma thesis is the education of children in values through programs of the Pedagogical Centre of the Archbishopric in Prague. The theoretical part deals with topics common to life in our society and at the same time closely related to Christianity, several development theories, characteristics of child in primary school, analysis of Framework Educational Program from a value point of view, a brief introduction to the issue of ethical and religious education in our society and presentation of Pedagogical Centre. The main goal of empirical part is to find out and describe how the Pedagogical Centre strives to educate the children in primary school about values. I used the following research tools to achieve the mentioned goal: content analysis of Pedagogical Centre program annotations focused on primary school, interview with the founder of the Pedagogical Centre and content analysis of interviews with eight teachers who visited the programs with their class. Based on the empirical part, it was found that Pedagogical Centre has a very broad scope of its activities, namely in wide scope of topics, choice of methods and materials and mainly in the quantity and depth of values contained in the programs. Projects aimed on enhancing active citizenship among primary school pupils

This diploma discusses projects to enhance active citizenship among primary school pupils. The work seeks to describe the importance of education for active citizenship in primary schools, to map projects dedicated to deepening knowledge regarding the role of an active citizen, and at the same time to inspire interested teachers to incorporate this issue into their lessons. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part defines the concepts of citizenship and active citizenship, the goals of education for active citizenship, and its inclusion in the curriculum, as well as a description of two different projects devoted to this issue. The empirical part tries to answer several questions regarding the projects. First, it answers why it is essential to include education for active citizenship as early as the 1st grade of primary school. It further discusses the goals and risks of this inclusion. Lastly, the empirical part focuses on new and existing programs and initiatives that deepen the development of education for active citizenship among children in the 1st grade of primary school. Adaptation of Pupils to the First Year of Primary School

The thesis deals with the adaptation of pupils, which is often associated in literature with kindergarten. It si a new topic for the first year of primary school. Therefore, the thesis focuses on describing the different concepts that are essential to understanding a child's adaptation to the first year of primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis is arranged chronologically as the each topic comes up in the child life, i.e. from the definition of preschool age, throuth the issues of school maturity and readiness, enrolment and deferment, to the definition of the younger school age. A central chapter is devoted to the issue of adaptation and the causes of failed adaptation. For the empirical part of the thesis, qualitative research based on the case study research method was chosen. Several techniques were used for data collection. These include direct non- participant observation of pupils during breaks as well as lessons. The observations are supplemented by semi-structured individual interviews with pupils, a teacher and a class assistant. Another technique is a parents online questionnaire. The use of scouting elements at primary school

This thesis analyses primary education and the current trend of environmental education. It focuses on Scout and its educational approach. The starting points and educational principles of scouting are related to the current popular trends in education at primary schools. The Učíme se venku program and Real World Learning were chosen as similar effective environmental approaches that seek to have the same impact on pupils' attitudes and values. The Step by Step program was added to the thesis for the purpose of conducting research in the activity centres. Scout's methods and outlooks on education coincide with these approaches and with the Framework Education Programme in pedagogical goals, such as evolving the pupil's attitudes and values, a partnership approach, a positive relationship with nature and the upbringing of a democratic citizen. The theoretical part of the thesis aims to present the Scout's educational method and to compare it with other environmental programs and the Framework Education Programme, to establish where they agree and where they differ. The aim of the practical part is to find out how it is possible to use the individual elements of these directions in teaching at primary schools.
