The\ncharacterisation and descriptive works are directly related to the excavation of the premises for the future underground laboratory. These include in particular: geological and geotechnical documentation of the faces and walls of the workings, petrographic, mineralogical and structural geological documentation, hydrogeological characterisation of the environment, as well as determination of the physical and mechanical properties of the rock mass in situ and in the laboratory, geophysical characterisation and monitoring of the seismic effects of blasting and hydrogeological monitoring. An important part of this report is preparation of the classification system used to describe the rock mass. The report also includes a brief overview of the work planned for the third year of the project.

Final Report of the Project „Data Acquisition from the Deep Horizons of the Rožná Mine“ presents the results of the study of rock mass properties with respect to the presence of a significant tectonic zone. The study focused on the change of properties in the vicinity of the so-called first zone of the Rožná deposit, but also on the change of these properties with a depth of 12–24. floor of the former mine, 550-1200 m below the surface. Realized works included geological, petrographic, geochemical description of the rock environment, geophysical work (esp. seismics), study of physico-mechanical properties of rocks, transport experiments and deposit revalidation of the Rožná deposit. All work was carried out for the purpose of describing the studied zone and its manifestation with an emphasis on ensuring the safety of the potential location of the deep geological repository.

Evolution of accretionary orogenic systems - the nature and geodynamics of the western Mongolian Altai
Soejono, Igor ; Janoušek, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Xiao, Wenjiao (referee) ; Finger, Friedrich (referee)
Long-lived accretionary evolution of the Mongolian part of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt was intensively studied during the last decades, however, it is not completely known yet. Types of geodynamic processes forming this orogenic system and their timing are addressed through petrological, geochemical and/or sedimentological study combined with U-Pb zircon geochronology. The publications included in this thesis present research of two magmatic and one sedimentary system in the western Mongolia. Both the ancient magmatic complexes and sedimentary successions provide opportunity to study geotectonic evolution in a different way. Therefore, mutually combined results of these two geological disciplines allow more complex insight into the geodynamics of the region. The geochemical, isotopic and geochronological investigations of the high-grade basement complexes in the eastern Hovd Zone reveal an existence of the Early-Mid-Ordovician intra- oceanic arc and associated fore-arc volcano-sedimentary complex. The superimposed Mid- Silurian intra-plate magmatism is interpreted as a result of lithospheric thinning related to the same but already retreating subduction. Striking similarities of the studied basement with neighbouring Lake Zone margin suggest that the both units originally belonged to a single...

This report summarizes the available data from the Březový potok site and evaluates the site according to criteria derived by RAWRA staff from SÚJB requirements (Decree No. 378/2016 Coll. On the Location of Nuclear Installations) and IAEA (NS-R-3 rev.1 Site Evaluation for Nuclear Installations) Safety Requirements, IAEA 2016; SSG-14 Geological Disposal Facilities for Radioactive Waste, IAEA 2011b) on site characteristics that affect long-term DGR security (MP 22 version 3, Vokál et al. 2017). Sites are ranked according to the following categories of criteria:\n1) Geological characteristics of the site\n2) Hydrogeological characteristics of the site\n3) Site transport characteristics\n4) Site stability\n5) Factors increasing the probability of human intrusion into the site\n6) Compatibility of rock mass properties with engineering barriers.

This report summarizes the work and partial results made under the Public Procurement Obtaining Data from the deep horizons of the Rožná Mine in the first phase of the third and fourth subdivisions from February to November 2018. These are in particular technical works (boreholes, access to corridors),seismic measurements, sampling for laboratory analysis (physical-mechanical properties of rocks, breakage fills, bearing revalidation), structural characterization of the rockanalytical work on all samples taken. Parallel to these works3D models are being prepared, especially data preparation for modeling.

Realization project summarizes the planned work, its progress and continuity within the environment of Rožná I mine in the extent of the procurement „Získání dat z hlubokých horizontů dolu Rožná“ which is being compiled by Hluboké hluboké horizonty Rožná group. The final goal is to clarify the significance and spatial influence of major tectonic fault on surrounding rock mass. The results will help to clarify localization and safety issues of the potential deep underground repository, especially with respect to the Kraví hora locality.
