Implementation of 3D RepRap Printer
Sochor, Marek ; Zouhar, Jan (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is build and verify the functionality of the 3D RepRap printer . The printer will be assembled from normally available parts and also 3D printed parts, becouse its main idea of the RepRap. After verifying the functionality of 3D RepRap printer We print identical part on two types of printers (RepRap 3D printer tand uPrint printer) and to evaluate the overall analysis (financially and physical). The work will be completed evaluation of usability and competitiveness assembled RepRap printer in practice and will be carried out, the technic-economic evaluation.
The Fascism of Anti-fascists - Pier Paolo Pasolini and the question of fascism
Sochor, Michael ; Slačálek, Ondřej (advisor) ; Štefek, Martin (referee)
The diploma thesis aims to describe the concept of Fascism in thought of Pier Paolo Pasolini. The interpretation of Pasolini's thought is based on a more general approach to the question of Fascism in Italy, to Marxist theories of Fascism, as well as to the theories of Emilio Gentile, Zeev Sternhell and Roger Griffin. The literary-theoretical and social-political parts of Pier Paolo Pasolini's thought are particularly examined. Key words Fascism, Italy, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Italian society, Modernism, Antonio Gramsci, Marxism, Emilio Gentile, Zeev Sternhell, Roger Griffin, Robert Paxton, Roland Barthes
Semi-supervised Learning from Unfavorably Distributed Data
Sochor, Matěj ; Pilát, Martin (advisor) ; Mrázová, Iveta (referee)
Semi-supervised learning (SSL) is a branch of machine learning focusing on using not only labeled data samples, but also unlabeled ones, in an effort to decrease the need for labeled data and thus allow using machine learning even when labeling large amounts of data would be too costly. Despite its quick development in the recent years, there are still issues left to be solved before it can be broadly deployed in practice. One of those issues is class distribution mismatch. It arises when the unlabeled data contains samples not belonging to the classes present in the labeled data. This confuses the training and can even lead to getting a classifier performing worse than a classifier trained on the available data in purely supervised fashion. We designed a filtration method called Unfavorable Data Filtering (UDF) which extracts important features from the data and then uses a similarity-based filter to filter the irrelevant data out according to those features. The filtering happens before any of the SSL training takes places, making UDF usable with any SSL algorithm. To judge its effectiveness, we performed many experiments, mainly on the CIFAR-10 dataset. We found out that UDF is capable of significantly improving the resulting accuracy when compared to not filtering the data, identified basic guidelines...
Making claims to disputed territories and its legitimisation in the cases of Israeli-Palestinian and Cyprus conflicts
Sochor, Michael ; Barša, Pavel (advisor) ; Křížkovský, Matyáš (referee)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to describe and to analyse the argumentation of actors of the conflicts over the disputed territories of Cyprus and of the area of Israel and Palestine. The initial point of the conflicts, according to the bachelor thesis, are nationalistic narratives, that, by their nature, are partly responsible for the conflicts. The bachelor thesis is analysing how these narratives were institucionalized, what are the principles of their dynamics and how these dynamics were influencing the actors. The role of the Ottoman Empire and of Great Britain is the matter of analyse, in both cases, too. Key words: Legitimisation of claims, disputed territories, Cyprus, Israel, Palestine, conflict, narative
Expression and prognostic value of microRNAs in patients with early breast cancer.
Sochor, Marek ; Tesařová, Petra (advisor) ; Slabý, Ondřej (referee) ; Hajdúch, Marián (referee)
Breast cancer is the most frequent cancer in women and is prognostically very heterogeneous. Early breast cancer has an excellent overall prognosis with long-term survival above 90%. In this group we can also find patients with highly unfavourable progress with a risk of future disease relapse. Due to effective anticancer treatment is a main task of precise clinical decision to determine risk of an individual patient in the term of cancer relapse. We can use clinical (tumor diameter, lymph nodes) and pathological markers (grade, ER, PgR, HER2, and Ki-67), all of them have low individual sensitivity and specificity. Molecular tests based on multigene DNA or RNA assays have higher sensitivity and specificity but their interrelated concordance is low. One of the main scientific task is to find almost specific and sensitive prognostic biomarkers. microRNAs are small, highly stable, non-coding RNAs, which regulate tens of mRNAs and proteins inside cells. In cancerogenesis, they could act as oncogenes or tumor supressors as well and affect main steps of initiation and progression of cancer. One of the scientific directions is to determine their prognostic significance. Many experimental and clinical studies defining prognostic significance of miRs in early breast cancer was published but their data were...
Optimizing and Evaluating the Biocompatibility of Fiber Composites with CaP Additives
Suchý, Tomáš ; Sucharda, Zbyněk ; Balík, Karel ; Sochor, M. ; Bačáková, Lucie
Composite materials based on a polyamide fabric (aramid) and a polydymethyl-siloxane (PDMS) matrix were designed for application in bone surgery. In order to increase the bioactivity, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 vol. % of nano/micro hydroxyapatite (HA) and tricalcium phosphate (TCP) were added. The effect of the additives on the biocompatibility was studied. It appears that nano additives have a more favorable effect than micro particles on mechanical properties. For final application of the composites as substitutes for bone tissues, 15 vol. % of nano hydroxyapatite additives is an optimum amount: in this case both the mechanical properties and the biological properties are optimized without distinct changes in the inner structure of the composite.
Institutions for spending leisure time of youths to 18 years
Sochor, Martin ; Polišenský, Miroslav (advisor) ; Gabriela, Gabriela (referee)
This thesis deals with the institutions of leisure time of youth under age 18. The aim of this thesis is to find out, whether selected organization Youth home at SOŠ a SOU Praha Čakovice fulfills its public mission. The work is divided into two parts, to theoretical part and to research part. The theoretical part explains the particular concepts related to free time and importace of right ways of spending free time and also there is a description of individual institutions of leisure time by law. There search deals with the selected organization, its description, function and data analysis, especially of internal documents of the organization. The conclusion summarizes the results of the work. There are suggested recommendations for the organization according to the results.
