Analysis of flood situation on selected part of river
Štěpánová, Markéta ; Smelík, Lukáš (referee) ; Duchan, David (advisor)
The thesis deals with an evaluation of flood situation at the area of the river Svitava in Brno throughout three different flows Q5, Q20 a Q100 and that proposes a possible solution for flood protection. Current state of the river stream is evaluated through hydraulic calculation combining 1D and 2D numerical modelling of flow rate with the use of HEC-RAS software.
Flow analysis of flood discharge at the selected location
Judas, Marek ; Smelík, Lukáš (referee) ; Duchan, David (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with analysis water flow at river Bečva from river station km 11,490 to river station km 18,053. Hydraulic analysis was done in program HEC-RAS 5.0. The calculation was performed for the flow of Q5, Q20 and Q100. These flows were calculated with 1D flow simulation and with combination of 1D and 2D flow simulation. In the area of interest was made conceptual design of flood protection based on computed depths of water and the flood areas. Depths of water and flood areas from calculation variants 1D and combination of 1D and 2D flow were compared.
Proposal of river training of a small watercourse in the basin of the Morava
Mlčochová, Zuzana ; Smelík, Lukáš (referee) ; Uhmannová, Hana (advisor)
The thesis is concerned with an appraisal of capacity of channel and design of suitable measures for environmental protection. Solved segment is located in the channel of Český potok in RK 0,000 – 6,366. The channel is flowing through villages of Čelechovice na Hané, Smržice a Držovice in solved segment. Within own solution the locality was divided into three partial sections, which is enabling clearer description of the proposed measures. Flood measures are proposed in several variants for each partial section. Calculations of flow capacity and water surface for the selected N-year flows were performed by using the program of HEC - RAS 4.1.0. Proposed solutions to flood measures are processed in the drawings documentation.
Assessment of the silting streambed river Český potok in the village Čechy pod Kosířem
Blaha, Josef ; Smelík, Lukáš (referee) ; Uhmannová, Hana (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the problematic of clogging the flow of Český potok at village Čechy pod Kosířem. Work assesses the current state of the flow modification made in the 70s of the last century in terms of flow and object capacity and in terms of the state of the riverbed fortification. Thesis also includes the evaluation of the stability of the flow bottom focused on the clogging the flow in the section modified to a rectangular transverse profile. Based on the performed assessment, precautions eliminating the clogging the flow are suggested. Thesis contains drawings of the current state of the water flow and drawings of suggested precautions.
Design of flood protection
Rajnoch, Dalibor ; Smelík, Lukáš (referee) ; Duchan, David (advisor)
The diploma thesis copes with the evaluation of status quo and further proposal for a flood control arrangements for the river Dřevnice (Zlín district). The evaluation as such has been made by the hydraulic calculation of flow alongside 2D numeric model - SMS-TUFLOW software was used for these calculations and sub-calculations. Based on the results as evaluated by numerical model, the proposal for a flood control arrangements has been made and is further available within the document. Last not least, the utilization of the aforementioned arrangements was measured and described.
Hydraulic analysis of the Bečva river
Gřegoř, Adam ; Smelík, Lukáš (referee) ; Duchan, David (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis is a comparison between two river hydraulics modeling approaches, the first one being combined 1D and 2D modeling, and the second one being solely 2D modeling. Both models are located at Bečva river, between its 17,282 and 28,419 river kilometer. The outputs of the simulations are water flow velocity maps, water depth maps, maps that show differences between flood areas calculated in both models, tables comparing channel water surface elevations and schematic long sections. In conclusion of the thesis, the outputs of the simulations are compared.
Design of flood protection measures or revitalisation at the selected site
Ondrišík, Ivan ; Smelík, Lukáš (referee) ; Duchan, David (advisor)
The content of this diploma thesis is focused on hydraulic assessment of the river Dřevnice, which flows through the village Otrokovice, Tečovice and Zlín. The assessment includes assessment of the current condition of the riverbed its surroundings and the condition after adjusments with the proposed flood control measures. Those flood control measures and modifications are supposed to ensure the protection of parts of municipalities from unwanted water spills at a flow rate of Q100 = 327,00 m3/s. The section of interest of the river Dřevnice stream is located on the river kilometre 2,358 – 9,050 nad its total length is 6,692 km. As part of hydrotechnical calculations, the mathematical model HEC-RAS 6.3.1 is used in this diploma thesis.
Proposal of nature-friendly measures on a selected watercourse
Lach, Radek ; Smelík, Lukáš (referee) ; Uhmannová, Hana (advisor)
The main aim of the diploma thesis was an assessment of the current state of the Svratka watercourse flowing largely through the urban area of the town of Jimramov, especially the adjacent parts of Sedliště and Benátky, and to a lesser extent through the suburban area below the municipality. The given section is 2,6 km long with the beginning in the river kilometer 131,10 and the end in the river kilometer 133,70. The capacity of flows and objels in the given period has been assessed (bridges, weirs, steps, etc.). Calculation water surface profiles have been made by usage of the 1D mathematical model HEC-RAS. Part of the work was to determine the current level of flood protection on the stream. The assessment is based on personal visit and photos taken as rekord. The thesis was complemented with hydroecological monitoring of the stream channel – the HEM analysis 2014. The final phase of the work deals with the conceptual design of a nature-friendly flood control measure to increase the protection of the adjacent area and improve the condition of the watercourse. Progress of individual levels and measures are based on hydrotechnical calculations.
Feasibility study of the flood protection measures in the locality of Litovel at the Morava river
Chalupník, Martin ; Smelík, Lukáš (referee) ; Dráb, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of diploma thesis is to design one variant of technical flood protection in the urban area of the town of Litovel. The subject of the work is the elaboration of the so called "zero variant", consisting in the transfer of part of the flood flows through the Morava riverbed in km 259,852 - 262,070 and the Power Plant drive in km 0.000 - 1.791. Hydraulic calculations were carried out using a 1D numerical model. The outputs have been processed in the form of project documentation of flood protection.
