Awareness of public about risks of lyme borreliosis

The bachelor's work deals with clinical picture, pathogenesis and diagnostics of Lyme Borreliosis. It is aimed at a cycle of a tick, its ability to transfer the infection to a human organism and also geographical spread within the Czech Republic territory. It emphasizes that the only effective method against the infection of the Lyme disease is prevention, first of all protection against ticks and their timely and proper removal from the body. The main part of work is formed by a quantitative exploratory research of awareness in public about the risks of borreliosis. It is aimed at ways how people protect themselves against ticks and how they handle them during removing. It probes their knowledgeableness about this infection. Examined sample is formed by randomly chosen respondents of various age in the region of eastern Bohemia.

Bachelor work is concerned with preventive activities in general practice for adults. This paper describes range of activities in the field of preventive care in general practice for adults - what is involved in preventive examination and what laws is it based on. This work lays emphasis on the engagement of nurses into preventive care, especially into education of patients. Every immediate finding of a disease affects considerably future quality of patient's life.
Health support by a nurse in the primary care

The baccalaureate work is dealing with health support in the primary care, in particular with the activity of a nurse, and how the nurse can actively contribute to the improvement of the health level of the population. It evaluates, in which part of prevention and care the nurse should be more active, and which questions she is to target first. As a method there is used an interview of a selected group of respondents. The interview should reveal the level of knowledge in the field of alimentation, sporting activity and health care and support. The men - blood donors of age between 40 and 50 in the Transfusion Department of the Teaching Hospital in Hradec Králové were addressed. The output of the inquiry was put under analysis with the object to target the knowledge deficiencies. The results can be instrumental for the educational activity of the nurse in the primary care.
The mistakes of non-professional during the first aid intervention

Bachelor's survey about providing of first aid intervention and the relevant mistakes, which are done by non-professionals. It guides how to correctly process the first aid intervention. The survey describes the principles of automated external defibrillators, telephonic assist basic life support, touches the law and connected sanctions when the first aid is refused. The study brings proposal to include the theme of first aid in to curriculum the core of the study makes quantitative survey of first aid assistance training, refuses of first aid, misuse of first aid and guidelines how to assist. The samples are ordinary people and professional, as well.
Information flow clients/patients, family members, lay public

Research points on the fact that information level of your patiens is on a very good level. There is the space for improvement, mainly in the area of communication, which is the basic presumption of good relationship between patients and medics. Report is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is focused on information flow in health service. Experiential part describes the classification of patient's informedness levels within the hospitalization. Research sample are 68 patients. Result shows, that consequent communication is needed. There was biggest dissatisfaction in this sphere. The target is to reach high quality in provided care with active client's attendance and his satisfaction. Main point is good information flow between patient and medic about health state.
Standard of general laic public knowledge of first aid giving

The synopsis of principles of first aid, including the newest guidelines for cardiopulmocerebral resuscitation was elaborated in this work. The selected states altering the human health or life-threatening conditions were mentioned, including their recommended management. The recommendations for appropriate calling for an ambulance were elaborated and the remark concerning criminal law was made. In the practical part of this work the answers of 99 respondents to questions investigating the basic sociometric and demografic data and elementary knowledge of first aid were analyzed. The hypotheses that people who had undergone first aid training, who had dealt with the accident or emergency in real life, and people with medical education have better knowledge of first aid were confirmed. The people who evaluated their own knowledge of first aid as good from their subjective point of view really had better knowledge. The hypothesis of direct proportion between knowledge of first aid and achieved education was confirmed in the female group. The assumption that the youngest and the oldest generation has the worst knowledge of first aid was also confirmed. The surprising findings were revealed in the male group. Attitude of public towards precautionary medical check -ups Objective of this bachelor script was to investigate how public is informed about preventive medical check-up and its opinion about this subject. Scrip is divided into theoretical and empirical part. In theoretical part I tried to explain importance of primary medical care and prevention. In observed part I want to present results from questionnaire which was completed by 120 participants.

Patients`/Clients` Needs after Radical Prostatectomy The theoretical part of the present thesis, which is focused on needs of patients/clients after the radical prostatectomy, is concerned with the needs of an ill human as such within the framework of the holistic concept. Then, it analyses specific prostatectomy-patient-related needs. The thesis reveals the fundamental of this operation and its lasting ill effects that cause various problems and bring along specific needs. The above-mentioned effects concern all parts of human personality. The thesis deals with the nurse's role while identifying and satisfying these needs within the framework of the nursing process. The importance of an appropriate education is stressed as well. The practical research part not only analyses the level of patients'/clients' foreknowledge of eventual post-operative problems and complications but it monitors also their concrete needs in different stages of the post-operative period.
