(in English) The Czechoslovak interwar historiography was oriented more towards francophone environment than at present. There were many opportunities to contact it, for example meetings at international conferences and congresses. This bachelor thesis focuses specially on the participation of Czechoslovak historians at VIII. International Congress of Historical Sciences in Zurich in 1938 and events around it. Based on official documents and correspondence it maps the relations of Czechoslovak scientists with Western European historiographers, especially with those from francophone countries. This bachelor thesis proceeds from the analysis of congress program and it analyses the share of Czechoslovak historians on it, including the preparation of their performance, coordination with foreign colleagues (by correspondence). The congress program and other information for participants of the congress this bachelor thesis uses also for the reconstruction of the congress course, it notes the unofficial contacts of scientists and to them inviting accompanying programs.
