The quality of life of patients after liver transplantation

The thesis deals with the quality of life of patients after liver transplantation. The theoretical part introduces the concepts of quality of life and liver transplantation. It focuses on issues of use of the concept of quality of life, transplantology pitfalls and practical procedures for the care of patients before liver transplantation and afterwards. Point is the empirical part, which is compiled on the basis of quantitative analysis of processed using a standardized questionnaire SF 36, which took place during the month of January to March 2010. Surveyed a sample of respondents are patiens after the first liver transplant in 2002, 2003, 2004, followed by ambulatory monitoring in IKEM. The goal is to evaluate the development of quality of life among respondents who underwent liver transplantation, then after one year and five years after its implementation.
Education patient on oral anticoagulant therapy warfarin

Bachelor thesis focuses on the education of patients with oral anticoagulation therapy with Warfarin. In its theoretical part discusses the two main objectives. The aim of the first part of this work is to provide information on education, guidelines and terms of education, but also the specifics of education of patients treated with Warfarin in cardiology clinic. The second goal is to provide comprehensive information on anti-coagulant drugs - Warfarin. Focus of this work consists of empirical research based on quantitative survey with standardized questionnaire methods, mapping knowledge and information of patients treated with anticoagulant drug Warfarin. The sample of respondents consists of 50 81 patients followed up in cardiology clinic in Velke Mezirici. In the period from November 2009 to February 2010. The outcome of this work is based on observed results from the questionnaire design educational theory hours for patients initiating therapy with Warfarin and a proposal for an information brochure.
The knowledge of preschool children's parents on the first aid in life-threatening conditions

88 The bachelor's thesis deals with the first aid knowledge of parents of preschool children with life-threatening conditions. The theoretical part introduces the concept of first aid, pre-school age and defines its anatomical, physiological and psychomotor differences associated with the development of life-threatening conditions in children at this age. It focuses on the symptoms, course and general first aid in life-threatening conditions and selected the most frequent accident and nonaccident states occurring in this age group. The point of the thesis is the empirical part, which is compiled on the basis of quantitative research survey compiled by the metod of questionary survey. Research sample consists of nonspecialists, parents of preschool children from Hradec Kralove region. The aim of the research survey is to explore the knowledge of parents of preschool children on first aid, their interest in the first aid and willingness in this issue to further training.

Communication with the patients with aphasia

The Bachelor thesis deals with communication with patient affected by aphasia. The first chapter of the theoretical part focuses on definitions of verbal and nonverbal communication, on communication in the nursing process and communication disorder. Then the thesis deals with communication problems with patients with special needs, augmentative and alternative communication. The content of the second chapter is aphasia solely. It explains the causes, describing symptomatology, classification, basic diagnostics and therapy. An integral part of the Bachelor thesis is a quantitative investigative research focused on the level of communication between health professionals and aphatic clients mainly. The 89 examined samples are paramedics working in the selected departments of a North Bohemia district health care facility. The hypothesis are set and analysis of their results are performed in this thesis. It was also described a case study for the hearing impaired aphatic client focused on solving his communication. Pursuant to the survey here are summarized evidences and the educational material for health professionals was developed.

Patient's satisfaction with the treatment of acute postoperative pain

Anotation The bachelor thesis deals with questions of acute postoperative pain. The theoretical part focuses on the basic knowledge about acute pain. More details are processed about the post- operative pain and its treatment. The empirical part of this work contains results of a questionary survey taking place on standard wards of Nachod's hospital operational brunches.The investigation concerned in the intensity of pain after surgery, influencing factors, the monitoring of postoperative pain by medical staff and patients' satisfaction with the pain treatment. The impact of total hip arthroplasty implantation on Quality of Human Needs

96 Key words: human needs, Maslow's hierarchy of needs, osteoarthritis, total hip arthroplasty The bachelor work is focused on the impact of total hip arthroplasty implantation on the quality of human needs. Theoretical part is divided into two chapters. The first chapter includes description of human needs. The second chapter refers to hip osteoarthritis, development and possibilities of arthroplasty implantation, preoperative and postoperative care including rehabilitation. The purpose of the empiric part is comparison and monitoring of human needs before and after total hip arthroplasty. Research part includes results of the applied study that was designed by two successive questionnaires analysis. The first part of the study is focused on identifying patients' needs before the surgery. Changes and development of patients' needs three month after the hip replacement are analyzed in the second part. Results are based on the research performed in cooperation with Department of Orthopaedics, University Hospital Brno and Orthopaedic Outpatient Clinic in Poho elice (Petr Vališ, MD) from October 2009 to January 2010. Respondent group was formed by inpatients (University Hospital Brno) preparing for total hip replacement. Respondents were interviewed before and three month after the surgery.
