Environmetal forensics and her position in forensic engineering
Adamec, Vladimír ; Schüllerová, Barbora
The post introduces the issues of Environmental Forensics, history and the current developments in the world and in the Czech republic. The main objective in this scientific discipline is the attempt to interconnection of environmental science and law. Through this interconnection should be to accelerate and facilitate the judicial processes, as well as the expert evidences in cases of damage to property and environmental components, their scales and level of the damage. Environmental Forensics is the suitable tool in the fields of Forensic Engineering, where are useful methods and analysis to assessment and detection of responsibility and damages.
System approach to assessing the extent of environmental damages in terms of the risk engineering
Schüllerová, Barbora ; Adamec, Vladimír ; Tragan, Tomáš
Road accidents have resulted not only in loss of human life, health and material damage, but also in the environmental damages caused by leaks of operating fluids or transported hazardous substances. Determining the severity and extent of the occurred accident is based on the expertise of experts. Besides the common methods, the risk engineering methods can be applied while resolving this issue. The contribution introduces the possibilities of using selected methods of risk analysis, which are the core of risk engineering, as a support tool for determining the extent of the damage incurred on the environmental components, including recommended procedures, combinations and applications of these methods.
The issue of hazardous materials sampling for the forensic purposes with application of risk engineering methods
Adamec, Vladimír ; Schüllerová, Barbora ; Fidrichová, Ivana ; Lunerová, Kamila ; Králík, Lukáš
The Risk Engineering and its methods are applied to many scientific disciplines. The gained knowledge and values are used in practice where they help experts for better orientation in the issue and accelerating the related processes. This article aims to introduce possibility of risk engineering methods and knowledge in forensic sciences with application on the specific example, when the methodology of hazardous materials sampling for the forensic purposes was created. The methodology was based on the fact that the Czech Republic has not yet issued regulation like this and the process of hazardous materials sampling was not unified with confirmity of forensic requirement.
