Linking technical and natural infrastructure to climate change in cities

The thesis is focused on linking technical and natural infrastructures in cities with respect to climate change. Various means of growing plants are presented by introducing urban farming. In the first, theoretical section, climate change is claimed to be a global threat for human kind which is more and more visible in cities. Many examples of adaptation and mitigation of climate change in cities are displayed. In the second, practical section, one existing technical measure from Brno city is examined – difference between technical and natural infrastructure is demonstrated. Finally, calculation method for environment-friendly crops growing, not only for cities, is introduced.

The practical part is focused on the risk situations in a particular building company. Subsequently, the building project shows the actual procedures and solutions to risk management together with preventive measures to eliminate risks.

The diploma thesis describes a process of public tender for building contracts from a construction company’s perspective. The theoretical part introduces the basic concepts and procedures encountered during issuance, awarding and completion of public tenders. The necessary procurement rules and guidelines are also included. The practical part defines an actual tender offer from a particular contractor. The tender in question is a construction of leisure centre in Ratiskovice.

Nature-friendly measures in the urban city of Brno

The thesis is focused on climate change impact in cities. In its first general section various nature-based adaptation solutions for urban areas are presented. Functional instances of finished implementations from city of Brno are named. The second, practical, section a particular proposal of nature-based solution for Brno by partial revitalization of Svratka river and its surrounding area is shown. The feasibility is supported by 1D and 2D numerical models. Crucial output of the work are technical drawings and flood simulation maps.

HST Station at the Airport Brno Tuřany

Main topic of this Masters Thesis is design of railway station for high speed line railway. Building site is situated in East Moravian region in the district of Brno-Tuřany. The building is designed as a detached two-storey object standing on the bridge over the railway. Mass of the building consists of two trimmed blocks which are mutually mirrored. The mass of both parts of the building is pervaded by illuminating stripe. Its shape is also based on the shape of trimmed block and rises over the surrounding surfaces. There are placed vertical paths in the stripes. It helps passengers in orientation because these are visible even from the outside of the building. This arrangement of individual masses symbolizes both direction of the arrival of trains to the station. There is placed arrival and departure hall in the middle of the object. Its height is similar to the height of the object itself. The hall is surrounded by the service facilities of the railway station situated on two floors. The supporting structure is made of steel. Both peripheral housing and roof are supported by the frame construction consisting of planar lattice beams. Construction of the façade is composed of frame system Wicona. The peripheral housing is tiled with panels of expanded metal.

Programm of effective learning as a part of learning competency development

The objective of the thesis was to form the programm concept for effective learning development. After charting the theory we drew following conclusion: the sufficient help in learning competencies development could be provided by specific offer of influencing the learning strategies technique of student. As a concrete form we chose 2 - days training tested in 7. classes in Basic school Praha - Klanovice. There were following essential bases for the training: 1) pedagogical - psychological diagnostics - simplified version applicable for teacher work 2) introduction to psychology of learning - the bases of grounds of learning psychology was provided to children ( suitable to their age) 3) planing as supposal of effective learning - suitable skills 4) correction of deficiencies - designation of impropriate strategie of learning and follow-on formation of new, more effective ones. We consider the 2 - days traning to be contributing in the sense of formation student's preparedness to the next wilful influencing his learning process.

73 LEGAL REGULATIONS OF BEEKEEPING SUMMARY Beekeeping is one of the oldiest hobbies all aroud the world. People used to breed bees many many years ago and it caused a necessity to regulate the relationships between beekeepers and between beekeepers and the state by law. First proper beelaw originated in the time of Marie Terezie in the 18th century. Later on was beekeeping regulated in many fractional laws, but the most important was the Civil code, which we still use nowadays. This code solves the most important questions of beekeeping as the possesion of bees and lhe liabilitity of beekeepers. The codes have to protect bees on one side and also people on the other side. Bees have to be protected from different kinds of fertilizers which are often used to keep plants fresh and healthy. The planters must obey several rules and in case of breaking these rules they can be punished. If the protection of people is concerned, the beekeepers must be careful where to put their hives, so that the bees don't disturbe other people too much. If the beedisturbing is untolerable, the beekeeper can be brought to the court. The beekeepers have to take care of their bees properly. Christian religion in the relationship to handicaped people

Thesis "Christian faith in relation to disabled people" is about the life of the physically or mentally disabled people and their position in society throughout history. Displays a change of view on them, which occurred with the advent of Christianity, when Jesus's miracles of healing and love for your fellow man was a charity activity of the Church and its institutions. The work is also focused on the relationship of people to the Christian faith as a potential resource recovery. Listed are the characteristic species of folk belief, which may change in superstition. Mentioned is the current view of the Church on disability and mental illness from the point of view of Canon law and practice and the role of religious communities in the healing by faith. TITLE: Developing activity and creativity in teaching fractions in grades 6 to 7 AUTHOR: Bc. Lenka Svobodová DEPARTMENT: Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Education SUPERVISOR: Mgr. Marie Tichá, CSc. ABSTRACT: The thesis consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part looks at the cognitive process of pupils and possible ways of their motivation during fractions teaching. Furthermore, it outlines causes of lack of understanding of fractions and re-education interventions. The empirical part is based on a qualitative research whose main objective was to determine how the pupils are able to solve fractions exercises independently and creatively and what mistakes they make. Various methods of data collection were used, such as interview with teachers on issues of fractions teaching in elementary schools, non- standardised test with fractions exercises and additional interview with the tested pupils.
