Low-cost module for impedance analysis of grounded and floating two-terminals with oscilloscope having frequency response analysis
Svoboda, Marek ; Langhammer, Lukáš (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
The work deals with the analysis of three selected types of impedance-voltage converters. The converters are designed for automated impedance measurement using an oscilloscope with an implemented frequency response analysis function. The aim of this work is to recommend the procedure of transducer design and to illustrate the impact of incorrect component selection on measurement accuracy. Simulation measurements of basic passive components and more complex passive elements were developed for all converters.
Laboratory diagnostics of micrometastases in breast cancer patients
Mikulová, Veronika ; Zima, Tomáš (advisor) ; Svoboda, Marek (referee) ; Průša, Richard (referee)
Introduction: The presence of circulating tumor cells (CTC) in the peripheral blood has been associated with worse prognosis and early relapse in breast cancer patients. CTC determination in the peripheral blood has been considered as a liquid biopsy. The aim of this project was to analyze the presence of CTC followed by their molecular characterization with the potential use not only as a new biomarker for real-time monitoring of therapy efficacy but also as a suitable tool for patient's stratification and individualization of treatment for breast cancer. Methods: A total of 54 patients with diagnosed early breast cancer were enrolled into a prospective study. Ten millilitres of peripheral blood were sequentially collected to test for the presence and characterization of CTC during the follow-up of patients. CTC isolation and detection was performed by AdnaTest BreastCancer™ (AdnaGen AG, Germany), which is based on the detection of EpCAM, HER2 and MUC1 specific transcripts in enriched CTC- lysates. cDNA from isolated CTC has been further used for newly optimized qPCR assays for breast tumor and therapy resistance associated genes: TOP1, TOP2A, CSTD, ST6GAL, KRT19 and reference gene actin. qPCR results have been analyzed by Genex software (MultiD Analysis). Results: 195 blood samples have been...
Hot Water Grate Boiler
Svoboda, Marek ; Šilhavý, Karel (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of hot water grate boiler, where the output is water with parameters 130 °C and pressure 16 bar. In the content of the whole thesis is gradually introduced a stoichiometric calculations, which is based on the specified fuel – wood chips. This is followed by the design of the individual heating surfaces according to the thermal calculations given in the thesis. Finally, the calculation is extended by hydraulic and aerodynamic losses. Dimensional design, as a basic scheme, is shown at thesis. More detailed drawing documentation is attached to this thesis.
Microcosm on the Road
Svoboda, Marek ; Zein, Lynda (referee) ; Kristek, Jan (advisor)
Although there is an international vehicular consensus about signing, the maximum speed allowed or connecting the most significant regions together, their nature is different all based on geographical, cultural or social conditions. Rest stops along the roads reflect each country dispositions. Rest stops are the place where different social and national clusters meet. At this moment building up the rest stops is on behalf of the Czech republic which is not that much interested in it. Instead of taking care and maintain them, because the current state of the reststops is not satisfactory, the Czech republic is letting them to the third parties - supranational corporations. This leads to unpleasant lines along the highways accompanying by petrol stations and cheesy fastfoods. There is no place for rest stops without the need of consummation. The Czech republic has currently begun planning and building up new kilometers of highways and the new opportunities of rest stops arise. Because the existing site is overloaded with petrol stations, supranational corporations are no longer interested in these plots. State has an opportunity to take over and redesign these neglected plots on his own.
Harm to the natural rights of an individual
Svoboda, Marek ; Křesťanová, Veronika (advisor) ; Frinta, Ondřej (referee)
Harm to natural rights of an individual Abstract Findings collected in this rigorosum thesis confirm that functional and sensitive settings of the universal system of private law, which provides the legal protection of values connected naturally with human being against unlawful attacks, is an essential task for every civilized legal environment because the natural values connected with a human are really important. The text suggests that the conception of this legal protective system consisting of three cohesive components, namely the conception of an object of legal protection, civil liability, a list of protective rights), is shaped by findings, which have their origin in legal theory, written laws and case law. At the beginning of this rigorosum thesis I concentrate my attention on the first component of the legal protective system. Due to the elastic range of legal protection exclusively focused on human being as an individual, and as a person of law in the legal sense, it is allowed to try to achieve protection of all natural values of human being, that in the summary create the most personal, the innermost and the most intimate sphere of human being1 . This type of particular values has either a biological or psychological or sociological character. The substantive definition of the interest which is...
Sources of economic data in the world and the possibilities of their treatment with the R software
SVOBODA, Marek
The main target of this bachelor thesis is to describe acquiring economic data from the online sources and show examples of processing the data in program R. The theoretical part of this thesis presents ten online sources of economic data and basic information about program R and programming language R. The sources that are described here are The World Bank Data, United Nations Data, IMF Data, WTO Data, OECD Data, The World Factbook (by CIA), Wolfram|Aplha, Eurostat, Czech Statistical Office and Quandl. The operator of each source is briefly introduced and then the possibilities of acquiring data for each source are described. The practical part of the thesis presents four libraries in program R which are focused on acquiring data. The libraries which are described here are WDI, eurostat, wbstats and Quandl. The possibilities of acquiring data and practical usage of methods the library provides in program R are shown for each library. Then the examples of transforming and processing the acquired data in program R are described.
Individualization of the treatment of prostate cancer patients based on the immunocytochemical detection of circulating tumor cells
Škereňová, Markéta ; Zima, Tomáš (advisor) ; Průša, Richard (referee) ; Svoboda, Marek (referee)
Introduction: Together with the introduction of new therapeutic options in castration- resistant prostate cancer (CRPC), an advance in individual disease characterization is required. Since common biopsy methods are not suitable for the majority of CRPC patients, one possible solution is the liquid biopsy that is, the analysis of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) isolated from the cancer patients' blood. Methods: A method based on the immunomagnetic enrichment of CTCs and subsequent PCR detection of tumor-associated genes (AdnaTest, Qiagen) was characterized and used for the detection of CTCs in 41 CRPC patients. Each patient was screened at the time of CRPC diagnosis and after the 3rd cycle of docetaxel therapy. A panel of genes associated with therapeutic decision-making was established and validated. Quantitative PCR (qPCR) method on a BioMark platform (Fluidigm, USA) was used to determine the expression of the gene panel in the CTC-enriched and primary tumor samples and the results were analyzed. Results: CTCs were found in 85% and 45% of CRPC patients before and during the therapy, respectively. The presence of CTCs, as well as EGFR and AR PCR fragments, was associated with a decreased sPSA response and lower survival. The gene expression of the CTC- enriched and primary tumor samples differed...
Harm to the natural rights of an individual

Theory and Practice of Legal Protection of Personality Rights
Svoboda, Marek ; Křesťanová, Veronika (advisor) ; Holcová, Irena (referee)
Theory and Practice of Legal Protection of Personality Rights Legal protection of personality rights is a specific and important issue, which allows every human being to enjoy his or her personality rights without any interventions. This kind of protection is grounded on the obligation of the society as a whole to respect human dignity and the inviolability of personality of every individual. Based on findings contained in my diploma thesis, the Czech legislation pays considerable attention to the protection of personality rights especially in the provisions of the Civil Code and the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms, both providing legal guarantees for defending oneself against illegally attacked parts of human personality. This kind of legal protection is supported by the effectiveness of the new Civil Code; unlike the previous Civil Code, it expands the number of provisions protecting human personality rights. My diploma thesis clearly suggests that the Czech legal regulation offers to injured individuals different possibilities of claiming their personality rights, for example, how to seek protection of already violated rights, which should be evaluated positively. However, it should be noted that legal practitioners must do their best to make efficient the means for remedying violated...
