Eric Voegelin's Thought of Order

The topic of this work was to discuss the question of order from the standpoint of Eric Voegelin. (Political) order is not understood as an artificial man-made construct, but as an intelligible structure of the whole, which is to be attuned to. Disastrous experiences of the last century led Voegelin to the attempt at rediscovery of the science of order: politiké epistemé. To this end he pursued a detailed study concerning history, i.e. the subject in which he hoped to find structures of order and, in particular, the experience of order in soul of man. Therefore it is possible -in his view- to reflect on political order adequately only after we have attended to philosophical anthropology which should facilitate the detection of constants of human nature. These appear against a background of unexceeded tension between poles of God and man. In the first chapter of the main part, I discuss the relationship between the human and transcendent pole and I try to clarify Voegelin's conception of metaxy (also participation of the human on the transcendent pole). In the following chapter, I pursue the theoretical and pragmatic consequences arising for the political order, whose goal is the preservation of man, society, and good life. Conversion of Bata Production Buildings

The subject of bachelor thesis is a conversion of Bata production buildings no. 24 and 25 to leasable units for small and medium business. The building site is located in the Svit area (Bata´s production areal) in city Zlín. This thesis is based on an architectural study prepared in the summer semester of the second year of study. The aim of the project is to demonstrate the usability of buildings intended for demolition. Objects are world-unique structures with very flexible frame structural system, which is usable for many purposes. This conversion to leasable units for business allows financial autonomy of the objects and predisposes them to permanent use. A system of removable partitions in the interior gives flexibility and universality to a units. The project involves the conversion of existing buildings no. 24 and 25 and new building no. 24/2. The building is designed as the main entrance, from which it is possible to access the two neighboring buildings by connecting bridges in the 3rd and 4th floors. Also provides restaurant and a seasonal rooftop terrace. The basic idea was to preserve valuable architectural expression of buildings in line with the modern concept. Valuable semi-public place is created between no. 24 and 25, whose function is to make more attractive central part of the city Zlín. New building is a landmark for employees and visitors, which integrates other services.

The subject of the bachelor’s thesis is the solution of BUT Technology Transfer Centre in city part Brno - Královo pole near the street Kolejní in the area of the University campus under Palacky hill. The building consists of offices, factory halls and laboratories. Site of the designed building is in harmony with the original General Plan projected by two architects named Pech and Fixel and the designed object follows the main axis of the generel. The dominant element of the designed building is special facade PROSOLVE 370e, which works on an architectural modular system.

The content of this thesis is a complete design of the file backup strategy for the company named GrowJOB s.r.o. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The first part contains the theoretical basis for the file backup issues. The practical part is focused on the file backup strategy design itself, including the data classification, guidelines, integration into the company’s organization structure, design of the backup processes and choice of the technologies regarding their total cost.

Bachelor's thesis analyses the company Elektrizace železnic Praha a. s. from 2001 to 2009. Analysis of the company is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the analysis of the economic indicators. The second part focuses on the analysis of the selected information in the sequence by using statistical methods. This section also contains the foreseeable development of the company in the years 2010 and 2011. The work contains proposals for improving the financial situation of the company.

Předkládaný příspěvek dokumentuje část historie zlínského Kolektivního domu z období, kdy z místnosti pro společenské stravování je vytvořeno veřejné restaurační stravování a kdy budova ztrácí svoje původní poslání. Je předpokládanou součástí vznikající doktorské práce, která se zabývá působením architekta Jiřího Voženílka ve Zlíně.

Po Druhé světové válce dochází v celé Evropě k mnoha změnám v důsledku přerozdělení zájmů tehdejších velmocí. Československo prochází společenskou a ekonomickou konverzí. Mnoho velkých továren bylo zestátněno, mezi nimi i továrna na výrobu obuvi „T. a A. Baťa“, pod novým názvem „ Baťa, národní podnik “. Vzhledem k této zásadní změně postupně dochází ke změnám v sociální politice továrny, které výrazně předjímají další politický, ekonomický a sociální vývoj v naší zemi. Nejradikálnější změny se odrážejí ve způsobu bydlení a urbanistických koncepcích. Zatímco doposud žili zaměstnanci továrny odděleně a podle zařazení v továrně v odpovídajícím komfortu, nyní začínají převládat tendence společného bydlení. Generace architektů, která přišla do Zlína ve třicátých letech, se začíná prosazovat novými názory a společenskými postoji. Architekt Vladimír Kubečka vytváří urbanistický návrh nové čtvrti – „Čtvrti Julia Fučíka“ při východním okraji Zlína. Autorem zdejších tříetážových domů je architekt Vladimír Karfík. Svým pojetím bydlení jsou domy dodnes aktuální. Architekt Miroslav Drofa staví podél východní osy směrem k centru „Věžové domy“ podle švédských tendencí a následně s využitím původního zlínského skeletu „Morýsovy domy“, tehdy nazvané „8 etážové činžovní domy ve Zlíně“. Dochází však ke změnám v klasické zlínské konstrukci a původních 6,15m x 6,15m je vývojově nahrazeno u těchto dvou domů trojtraktem 6,8m+2,6m+6,8m x 6,8m.
