Misuse of sexuality in advertising

This bachelor thesis describes sexism especially in czech mass media. The development of gender and issue of women status in advertising are discussed. General terms related to advertising, gender, and sexism as stereotypes, social roles or theory of mass media are explained. The thesis also deals with feminity and maskulinity and it is completed by typical examples of representation women in advertising. Some sections are devoted to the differences between the sexes divided into males and females controlled by gender stereotypes. In conclusion you can find an assessment of annual contest called Sexisticke prasatecko.

Benetton - creator of the new advertising speech

My bachelor work follows the evolution of the image of the Italian clothing company Benetton, which addressed society by its unconventional way of expression and attitude to promote their own products. We can see how first interesting and shocking advertising was replaced by ordinary and banal promotion. The main merit of the brand carries world famous photographer Oliviero Toscani, who is the creator of innovative forms of Benetton advertisement. It is evident, that after his departure from the firm in 2001 leaves also certain creative spirit of the company.

Bachelor thesis Aesthetic principles of not-for-profit advertising (with particular regard to the organiyation People in Need) deals with the print advertisements for the non-profit sector. In the examples of campaigns of Peeople in Need bachelor thesis is searching for methods which are non-profit commercials using and tries to compare the tools of not-for-profit commercials with commercial advertising.
