Characteristics features of luminescence radiation solar cells
Malý, Martin ; Šimonová, Lucie (referee) ; Stojan, Radek (advisor)
This thesis deals with characteristic features of luminiscence radiation solar cells during electroluminiscence. Electroluminescence is the process in which a substance begins to radiate electromagnetic radiation (luminiscence radiation) due to passing electrical current. Various defects in the structure of the photovoltaic cell can cause polarization of that radiation. The aim of this thesis is to measure some polycrystalline solar cells by electroluminescence. Selected solar cell is measured by electroluminescence extended by polarizing filter and afterward collected data are processed in MATLAB.

Kolář, Jakub ; Vyroubal, Petr (referee) ; Šimonová, Lucie (advisor)
This semestral thesis focuses on the description of specific renewable resources in the form of thermophotovoltaic cells using selective radiators with micro/nano structures. This work deals with an introduction of renewable resources and specifically focuses on thermophotovoltaic. Thesis describes basic principles, but also influences affecting the proper functioning of these systems. It also focuses on selective radiators, which are created by mikro/nano structures, and factors that can affect their implementation or simulation. Part of the work are also examples of calculations of basic parameters of the structures, which will be used in the simulations. Next chapters are dealing with simulations which are analyzing thermal effects on termophotovoltaic system. Except the analysis itself there is also partial optimalization solving some of the negative thermal effects.
Optimization of thin films of metal oxide materials
Vítek, Jiří ; Šimonová, Lucie (referee) ; Šubarda, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the description of the method of reactive sputtering of thin films. Currently, there are many ways how to create thin films and there are many applications of thin films in various industrial sectors. In this paper at the first are listed the issue of thin films, followed by an overview of the deposition techniques and of the chemical analysis of deposited thin films. It also describes the four-point measurement method of sheet resistance, mechanical test of adhesion and optical properties. At the end of the theoretical part are described the material composition of the deposited films. The goal of the practical part is to optimize the deposition process of the mixed layer of indium tin oxide (In2O3: SnO2) and contribute to the overall understanding of the influence of annealing on the layer. There were created six series of samples with that applied layers. First, the work focused on examining of the influence of annealing on the throughput in the whole measuring range, and then comparing the series due to the transmittance in the visible light spectrum. Furthermore were compared the value of sheet resistance of unannealed and subsequently annealed samples.

SELECTIVE EMITOR FOR THERMOPHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS
Šimonová, Lucie ; Hrzina,, Pavel (referee) ; Šály,, Vladimír (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The work is focused on research and development of a suitable method for creating a selective emitter for the visible and near infrared region so that they are able to work optimally together with silicon photovoltaic cells in a thermophotovoltaic system. The aim of the work was to develop a new method of creating very fine structures outside the current standard, which will increase the emissivity of the base material to meet the needs of a selective emitter for the VID and NIR region. The methods available to us for the creation of structures were chosen, from which we eliminated all unsuitable ones and we introduced the optimal procedure and parameters for their creation for the selected method. In this work, we focused on both ceramic and metallic materials, whose heat resistance and selective properties are key to this work. Part of the development of the emitter structures was also the need for pretreatment of the substrate itself, where great emphasis was placed on the purity of materials and surface roughness. Since ceramic materials cannot achieve a surface roughness so low that the desired structures can be formed, these materials have been purposefully used primarily for the purpose of combining the base material with thin layers of other high temperature material. Their compatibility and suitability were verified in terms of adhesion and subsequent heat resistance. The main material for the formation of fine structures was purposefully chosen tungsten, for which we verified the influence of the formed structure on the emissivity as well as the thermal stability during long-term exposure to high temperatures. The work thus represents not only a new method of creating very fine structures, which are not normally formed in such subtlety, but also opens the way to new possibilities of combining more materials to achieve the required selectivity of the thermophotovoltaic emitter.

Šimonová, Lucie ; Stojan, Radek (referee) ; Dolenský, Jan (advisor)
Until a few decades ago few people could imagine that the photovoltaic, solar thermal and other power based on renewable resources, will become a reality. Today people from all over the world on the contrary try at full blast derive benefit from of all possible available source. Using sunlight as a source of energy is first enforced only for small devices such as calculators for charging the battery, but now we are able to produced energy from the sun to supply people around the world. Of course it is not possible supply consumer sector plus firm only from performances renewable power supply. Therefore endeavour is derive benefit from classical energy production at the same time with others power supply. The basic components of photovoltaic and solar thermal power are panels. The panels are made of different materials in different shapes and sizes. During production, the resulting effect looks in addition to costs associated with production. For photovoltaic and solar thermal power plant requires sufficient sunlight. The sunshine has biggest intensity on south of ours planets. Therefore endeavour is build lump these power station just in stand with bigger intensity sunshine. One of them is just Cyprus, too.
