Neuszerová, Eva ; Mihule, Jiří (advisor) ; Brožková, Jana (referee) ; Sequardtová, Liběna (referee)
The point of my Bachelor?s Thesis ?Oboe in Compositions by Slovak Composers in 20th Century? was to create sort of outline or chronological lay-out of Slovak compositions of 20th century for oboe. My work consists by three main parts. First part is a simple survey of the musical life in Slovakia in 20th century ( after years 1918 and 1945). The other part is a list of Slovak composers in alphabetical order in which works we find pieces for oboe. Under a biography of each of the composer, there are always placed titles of oboe pieces which the composer has written. To the third ? the most emphasized ? part belongs their works for oboe ? its description, characteristics or my findings which I have observed during my ?analysis?. I hope that my work could help to readers, mostly oboists, to orientate themselfs in this area and, maybe, inspire them to place some of the compositions on their concert repertoire.
